When using Compound W for a corn, are the skin layers supposed to fall off? Or are you supposed to?

You can aid removal by gently flaking away the layers with your nails, or a nail file. Don't be too eager though you only want to flake away the dead skin.
This is best down after a bath or a foot soak.
