I was just prescribed 30 mg of Vyvanse for binge eating disorder, hoping this will work. I haven't taken it yet, as my pharmacy needs a day to fill the script since they were out of it... but was just wondering if anyone had any advice, comments, experiences, etc.
Thanks
Has anyone used Vyvanse for Binge Eating Disorder?

Hi daniche, I am on my 6th day of 30mg of Vyvanse and it's helping me control my binges. The never ending hunger seems to be controlled. I'm just on the 6th day so I don't know if there's a point yet where the medicine will become ineffective. Also, happy to report no side effects. I hope this helps and good luck to you on your journey.
As a child from birth i was taught very bad eating habits which led to BED and ultimately extreme obesity before even entering highschool. By the time i turned 17 i had finally decided to do something about it myself. I had never heard of any of the drugs used for BED and i didnt plan on using them anyway. After one year I went from 318 lbs to 190 using the traditional methods of installing self discipline in my diet and avoiding food when it was innapropriate to eat. Even after losing weight i experienced problems with BED but aince taking vyvanse i feel completely in control of my habits
I have adult add and anyone with add knows you binge eat or smoke whatever your posion. Low impluse control. I started on 25 mg Vyvanse and it definitely helped the add and binge eating. After 2 weeks though, I devleoped somewhat of a tolerance. I do not like other add meds. My doctor has gradually upped my dose to 50mg. which is interesting because if you read the clinical trials, for binge eating alone (not add) 50 mg to 70mg were the magic numbers. As I said I also use it for add and 50 is perfect. I am calm and yes I still get hungry but I can stop! I was on my way to becoming obese although I was very active and walked 6 miles a day. In 16 weeks I have lost 27 pounds through proper eating. My only hard times is around 9pm at night when it has worn off. The doctor recommended eating a small serving of protein before bed as that is when your body uses it to build muscles. Don't know if I will ever go up to the 70. 50 has been working really really well for me.
I just found out I have ADD. Struggled ever since u was a teenager trying to remember what I read and learned. Didn't know that ADD can cause low impulse control but that makes sense all I would think about is food until I got on the Vyvanse taking 30 milligrams probably need to go up but just started skipping 2 days and 3 day back in it and it is working like it did when I was first put on medicine
I am on my eighth day of 40 mg of Vyvanse daily. I took Ritalin for years to treat my ADD (inattentive form). I recently read about Vyvanse receiving FDA approval for the treatment of binge eating disorder, and asked my doctor if I could give it a try in place of my Ritalin. While my ADD is back in full force, for the first time in so long I have had a normal relationship with food. It's not psychological, because I have tried every OTC diet pill, and have even taken phentermine. I had totally given up hope, until now. I always described it as some sort of switch in my brain that I couldn't shut off, even past the point of eating becoming painful. Well, this stuff might actually have given me the control to put that switch in the Off position. Now if only I could deal with the Clorox wipes I put in the refrigerator yesterday :(
I haven't received it yet but I know I have BED I have been to my psyc once and I have my next appointment on Tuesday. I am a recovering Bulimic, although bingeing is something that I cannot stop no matter what I do. I speak with my Husband about it and he doesn't understand why it's such an issue but he's never actually seen me binge, and i'm really good at hiding it. I am really hoping my psyc can help me. I've been living with my ed for 15 years and this is the first time I've reached out for help because I realize I cannot do this alone anymore. I guess i'm mostly nervous because while reading my psycs office info online I don't see anything regarding help with eating disorders, only anxiety and depression. my first session--which was the intake-- while talking about my profile, and what I wanted to work with, I wanted to say that I wanted to manage my ED and she wouldn't.
She was more concerned about my anxiety and depression, which I don't believe I have anxiety, maybe depression, but it's all rooted to my ED.
I guess my question is, how do you find a good psychiatrist to help deal with your BED?
I just talked to my family doctor and she prescribed it! I really opened up to her and said printed off the research being done on it and said that I really wanted to give it a try along with some of these reviews!
Thank you! I went to my PCP because my next psych appt was completely AWFUL. She just judged me for the entire hour, and told me to do things that i've already tried.
She put me on Prozac first, and that didn't work..and now I'm on Effexor, which is working slightly..I just have a feeling she doesn't know anything about Vyvance since it's so new for BED.
I received a referral to the Eating Disorder clinic here and I think I will ask them about it... but do you think I should just bring up Vyvance up as something I would like to try with my PCP? I'm so new at talking about my ED it's just weird to know there is medicine out there that helps, I don't know how to ask for it...
I have been on Vyvanse for a year now. It was great at first, but now (a year later) I feel like it is not working anymore... I lost 40 pounds and I don't want to gain it back! Has anyone else had this experience?
I have been on Vyvanse for 5 months and I feel I just started using it to its fullest potential. For me the key is watching what I eat, so I joined Weight Watchers. The vyvanse supports the diet by allowing me to stop when I'm full and by removing the obsession to eat. If I get stressed, food is not the first thing that pops into my mind anymore! However, if I don't take it (50mgs) in the morning I am still struggling to NOT use food as a medication.
I don't think it is a magic bullet, but is can be useful when combined with a sensible eating regime.
I might add, I exercise regularly and have for years and have never seen the results I'm getting now.
I've lost almost 10 lbs. in 4 weeks on WW and Vyvanse. I feel I can reach my goal now.
I've used Vyvanse for BED for 5 months and have posted to this thread before, but I thought I'd add an update for people who are curious about ongoing use. Disclaimer: my experiences are just mine, are probably not typical, and could change tomorrow. :)
I started on a 30 mg dose and that has continued to be effective for me. I take my pill between 7:30-8:00 most mornings and generally go to bed between 10:00 pm and midnight, with no sleep problems. In the first month I realized I had to eliminate caffeine or suffer terrible headaches, but lately I've had occasional caffeinated drinks in the evening with no ill effects. Really, as long as I take my pill every day, I feel "normal" and don't even think about it.
Yes, I am losing weight, but as I've discussed with my doctor, that's because I spent years developing a healthy lifestyle in all ways except for my damned binges. Vyvanse won't make you hate junk food, stop you from taking a second serving, or change your palate so that all you want are salads. My lunch on Sunday was coffee praline ice cream with hot fudge... BUT, unlike in the past, that was a conscious choice, eaten in the company of other people, and when I had enough, I was able to stop eating. (Ice cream was one of my common binge foods in the past, when I could inhale half a gallon easily between meals, with other binges on the same day.) I'm not purposely restricting calories or counting fat grams or anything; I try to eat nourishing, satisfying, and tasty foods.
However, I should mention that I've had two kidney stones in the past few weeks. Those are new for me and could be connected to the weight loss. I'm trying to drink a lot more water each day.
This is my chance to improve my relationship with food, which has been difficult since childhood and diagnostically disordered for almost 30 years. Without the binge compulsion -- which I've always characterized as voices in the back of my head, though the only voice is mine -- it feels like I can take a moment to think, "Do I really want that?" or "What do I really want?" When I tried to do that in the past, my decision was usually overridden by the blind urge for intake, not for pleasure, comfort, or health.
I'm also taking this break from BED -- which I hope will be permanent, but who knows? -- to make peace with my body. For me, Vyvanse seems to enhance the reward effect I feel after exercise; whereas in the past I would finish a workout exhausted and glad the damn thing was over, now I feel accomplished. This reinforces my personal, non-scientific suspicion that BED is connected to a dopamine mechanism malfunction. So, I've been exercising more and enjoying the improvements to my fitness. I've started taking selfies for personal use to try to accept the woman that I see in the photos. (Another issue I have that I'm curious if others share: I look very different to myself in the mirror. It seems to be a flipped version of the usual body dysmorphic disorder: I see myself as significantly smaller, so photos or an unexpected glimpse of myself in a reflective surface can be shocking.)
One problem that has reared its ugly head is the logistical difficulty of taking a Schedule 2 drug on an ongoing basis. I've started mapping out my refill dates on a calendar far into the future, because it's a 2-day process for me: calling my doctor to request a refill, then driving an hour round trip to pick up a paper prescription the next day and take it to the pharmacy. I will run out of pills in the middle of a family reunion trip in another state in July and I'm already a little panicked and trying to get answers from my doctor or pharmacist about what I can do. As I understand it, some pharmacies will not fill a Schedule 2 script written by a doctor who is not licensed in the same state, so just taking along a paper prescription won't do, and pharmacies are limited in how many doses of Schedule 2 medications they can give at once, so my chances of getting a buffer week of pills are small. Wish me luck.
Question: I am getting tapered off of Wellbutrin and will start Vyvanse at the end of this month for Binge Eating and would like to hear some opinions. I dont want to start with a high does, will 10mg work ? I used to take phentermine 37.5 I cut the pill into 4 pices, one piece in morning, another piece around 12pm when i first started out with it until i worked up to 1/2 in the am 1/2 in the early afternoon. Anyhow is Vyvanse like phen? Should i start on the lowest dose? Also as for taking my muti vitamins, how long should i wait after taking my vits before i take the Vyvanse? Or should i take the Vyvanse first then wait an hour to take my multi vitamins?
Thank you for posting about your experiences. I just picked up my first prescription. I will be taking it for the first time tomorrow morning. I have struggled with this obsession with food for as long as I can remember and can't even imagine what it would be like to not have this as the foremost thought in my mind at all times.
I wanted to respond to you because I also see myself as smaller than I am. I am continually shocked by pictures of myself. I'm glad you wrote about that because I have never heard anyone else say it and thought it I was alone with that issue.
Hi there, I know it's been a long time since you posted this, but I am curious to know how you're doing now and if your still using Vyvanse and if so, how has that gone for you? Thanks in advance.
I was prescribed 30 milligram been taking it for about a month now and had really bad side effects leg cramps bad body aches and headaches. The reason I am posting this is I had a hard time finding side effects on any of these pages that list this as a possible side effect. The medicine worked great when it worked but it seemed like after about 2 weeks it stopped was really hoping I could take this medicine I lost 12 pounds in 2 weeks but there's no way I could tolerate the side effects. Hope this post helps somebody else having the same side effects and can't find out for sure if they are related to the medication. Good luck to all on Vyvanse.
I started at 70 mg of Vyvanse for my eating disorder almost 3 weeks ago. No negative side effects other than dry mouth, which is getting better. The first 1.5 weeks I could tell neurologically that I had taken something. Not impaired in any way. The positive effects so far are: weight loss, improved concentration, completing more tasks, increased energy level (in a good way, not hyper-energetic), happier mood, still tired at bedtime, and it made me not have a desire for soda or junk food. Only drink water or milk. I'm able to cut way back on food portions. The effects last 12 hours for me. I had gained 85 lbs in the last 7-8 yrs (BMI was just under 36). I also have been biting my nails, since I was a child. This has stopped. I have 7 crowns from grinding my teeth, since I was in my 20s. I had never sought help before, but I knew my coping mechanisms were harming my health. I realized I would never stop gaining weight.
I used to be able to join WW and lose weight, but in nearly the last decade I was not in a good place mentally.I joined a few times and could never stick to a diet. For the same period of time, I have been having sleep issues. I easily could fall asleep, but could not stay asleep. I woke up around 3 am each night and I was pretty much done. My doctor also rx lowest dose of prozac, which worked right away and I felt more content-not emotionless, not feeling close to crying. For sleep, I take 5 mg clonidine and 100 mg trazodone. I can now sleep until 4 or or 430, and I've had a few nights I slept through the night. Since these have been issues for years, I think it will be awhile before I can discontinue any of them. My doctor is an MD/therapist, and I do see him weekly. Given my history, he prescribed these at the same time and said I shouldn't not have any problems. This was absolutely true. First few days on 50 mg trazodone, I felt a little foggy into the afternoon. I had dry mouth d/t all or some of the meds. This initial dose was too low, so it had to be increased to 100 mg. After 3 days on 50 mg, felt fine when woke up. Felt fine when increased to 100 mg. I had to wait a week for Vyvanse to be approved by my insurance, even though rx was free. I had an atypical childhood, which started my problems. When I had some other upsetting events happen (esp 2015), I felt worse than ever. 3 of my 4 kids have ADHD/ADD, so I knew well of this medication since they had taken it in the past. They went off, because it didn't last them any longer than Adderall XR the longer they took it. Strattera came out and they have been taking that since then. Given that their experience was positive, I had no problem taking it to help me. We all have our own unique medical/psych hxs and there are doctors who tackle these issues differently. Some would not start on more than 1 or 2. Some would not start at same dosages. What's right for me, might not be right for you. I have lost 14 lbs so far, when I weighed myself after 2 weeks. This is the same amount I lost when I stuck to WW in the past the first two weeks, and I was not as heavy as this. Giving up soda/unhealthy foods, probably made an impact as well-less fluid retention. Good luck to everyone on this journey!
Did you start on 70mg? That seems like an extremely high dose to start on! That is the maximum that Shire recommends for BED and they recommend that you start at 30.
Thank you for posting this thread! I am 28 and have struggled with BED since I was in my early teens and was just prescribed Vyvance. To be honest I haven't had the opportunity to take it yet. I didn't realize how expensive it is. Even after insurance it was $50 for only a 30 day supply. Is this a pretty normal price? I'm very new to the Vyvance game and after reading all of the feedback on this thread I am very, very excited about starting a new chapter in my life. I'm just a little concerned with the cost.
Heh, after my insurance, this month's supply of 30 30mg pills was $230! If you're willing to register with the pharmaceutical company, they have a savings plan that should take your cost down to $30/month - you print out a coupon to give to the pharmacy, which they essentially use as a 2nd insurance on top of yours. Just search for Vyvanse Savings Offer. It will take my price down too, but I'll still be paying over $150/month until my prescription deductible is covered. :/
Vyvanse does work... for awhile but it loses its potentcy quickly and I'm finding I need to increase the dosage from 30 to ... My one month is up in 4 days and I will ask to have it increased. Your prescriber should give you a coupon and your insurance will reject it, so have your pharmacy contact the prescriber so he/she may tell the ins co that you really do need it for BED. If your pharmacist is on the ball, as mine is, she will be aware of this game and do it without you having to ask. Anyway price came down to $30/month. Also first month is free. Like a free trial to see if it works.
As stated earlier, you can get coupon on vyvanse's website too.
Good luck and let us know whow you're doing.
If you go to the Vyvanse website you can print a savings offer from Shire which will bring down the co-pay to $30. That is what I did because with my insurance it was $50 as well. I actually got my prescription filled yesterday and had to print out a new savings coupon because the one I had previously expired. I mean its only $20 you'd be saving, but I guess that is better than nothing. And the coupon is good for up to 12 prescriptions.

I have been taking this for about a month and my doctor said that Shire advises that the best dose is between 50 and 70 mg but most people in this page have said that they are taking way less than that. I have been on 30mg for a few weeks and my doctor wants to raise my dose but I am terrified that I will get the side effects when I first started the medication. Has anyone raised their dose and can they tell me what they experienced?
How are your results and side effects now that you've gotten used to 30 mg? I'd be wary of raising the dosage just because that's the advised amount from the pharmaceutical company, if you're having positive results where you are now. Every body is different.
I'm still at 30 mg after 6 weeks and it's working beautifully, but I expect we'll need to raise that dosage in time. Would love to hear from others who have scaled up.
I am feeling really good but it tends to wear off around 6 or 7 pm and I get really bad cravings. It is a little annoying but I find that if I have eaten a nutritional breakfast and dinner that I do a better job controlling those cravings but they are still there around that time.
I have been on 30mg for about 2 weeks and it tends to wear off around 7 or 8 pm for me as well. Can anyone that has had a recent increase in dosage please share your experience and if it has helped with the cravings or timing it wears off by. I am currently taking my pill at 11am so it lasts me until 8pm.
Hi Bennett19,
I've been on 30 mgs for about 3 weeks. I notice no side effects anymore. But I also notice the effects are wearing off before dinner, although I take it at 4:15 am and 5:15 am.
My prescriber said 30 is good to start, so I expect he will increase it next week. I was most concerned about not sleeping but no problems so far.
I'm most pleased about not obsessing and actual fullness when I do eat.
I've lost some weight, but haven't gotten on the scale. I eat a balanced diet high in protien and I exercise regularly.
Hoping this continues.
Stay tuned...
My doctor added a 10mg dose to take in the afternoon and it has really helped! So, if anyone is experiencing the same thing with it wearing off in the afternoon maybe you could talk to your doctor about it. The dose is small so I can still fall asleep at a regular hour, she suggested that I take it before 3 and I still don't have trouble sleeping if I forget until later in the afternoon.
I have been using this on and off for 4 months. I went up to 50 mgs but started getting an itchy scalp, eyebrows, eyelids and neck. I do have allergies to my pets, but have always managed them. Prescriber said he never heard of those side effects. Stopped for a week or so and symptoms went away, BUT I was also on Prednisone. Symptoms disappeared.
Took 40 mgs for two days symptoms back, but off Prednisone too. Not sure if itchiness is due to Vyvanse or ...
Have you had any itchy symptoms?
I'm a few months late to this party but wanted to contribute. I've been on 30mg of Vyvanse for the past month and have struggled with what we now call BED for 30 years (dear heavens, has it really been that long!!! ). So far, wow, this really helps.
Before I rant about the positive aspects, let me tackle a couple of negatives. The first week presented some adjustment challenges -- feeling a little high after exercise and one day of a dark black bad mood -- but those evened out. Then, awful headaches in the front of my forehead and temples. *shudder* It took another week to figure out that by eliminating caffeine, the headaches disappeared. By the third week I was back to feeling pretty normal.
Positive? The urges are gone! Gone gone gone. Those of you with BED understand the compulsions, so strong that even if you are very aware of them and try to stop, it's close to impossible and makes the next wave even worse. On a very stressful, emotional day, I felt the tiniest flutter of a binge urge pass through my brain, but then it was gone without my having fight it. My non-binge eating is pretty healthy, so I sailed through the holidays with rich food and sweets everywhere that didn't even appeal to me. That said, I'm sticking to a non-restrictive eating approach because restrictions are a trigger for me; I can quickly become obsessed with eating and exercising PERFECTLY, and once that collapses, I'm back to binging. I focus on eating lots of vegetables, some fruit, and trying to have nourishing, flavorful meals with plenty of fiber and healthy fats. No counting calories or grams of anything. No "bad" foods; just a focus on nutritious ones. I do moderate exercise daily -- 20 vigorous minutes on a stationary bike or an hour of yoga, plus walking my dog when weather permits -- but again, I'm trying not to let obsessions take over in any direction. Sure, I've lost some weight and I hope that continues, but my intent is to make a healthy lifestyle my new normal. Vyvanse is helping me achieve that, so far.
Dear Pendgame,
Your history mirrors my history almost exactly. Thank you so much for coming late!
I just got my prescription filled for 30 mgs and I'm nervous about not sleeping. Did you have this issue?
No, I haven't noticed any sleep problems but I take my pill at the beginning of breakfast so the effects wane by bedtime. I've noticed it takes about 90 minutes for me to feel it in the morning (which doesn't mean I have cravings in the off hours, but I do notice greater focus and motivation when it hits my bloodstream). I've read that it's most effective on a curve that winds down after about 14 hours. Good luck!
Hi, I am starting medication tomorrow. My binge eating usually begins in the afternoon until the evening... and most nights... the dosage states to take in the morning, but if I do, I think it won't last as long as I require. If I take it too late, I might not sleep... any experiences with time frames?
I've seen some people who take Vyvanse for ADD who take one dose in the morning and one in the afternoon, so taking it later might work fine. In my first couple weeks I took my pill around lunchtime and was able to sleep fine; I moved it back to breakfast for simplicity's sake and because my danger zone is mid-day to early afternoon. You'll probably have some adjustment in the first couple weeks, but I hope it works out well for you!
Thank you... I will adjust doses accordingly. 9:30 today with a moderate breakfast and see what happens come Fragile Food Friday night!
This is so encouraging to me. I have been binging for 25 years now. So out of control, no matter what I do. I started 30mg today - took it at 11:00am today because my binging starts at 7pm and goes right through the night. I thought taking it later in the day might help me control the cravings in the evening. I even wake up in the middle of the night several times and eat. So in addition to BED it seems I have NEDS - night time eating disorder. I know I am eating and I tell myself before I go to bed not to do this and still do. I do good all day long, eating the right foods, it is like a faucet turns on at 7:00pm for Sweets, Salty foods, anything I can get. I am hoping Vyvanse will work for me to break the habit of binging and eating all through the night.
Just an update: I've now been taking Vyvanse for about 5 weeks. At my one month follow-up with my doctor, my blood pressure and pulse were fine, and I'll see her again in 3 months. I feel fine and the binge urges are still blissfully absent.
However - I missed one day of my medication because I ran out of pills the day before my appointment. This is not a drug that will spare you if you have an "oops" like that. I was fine in the morning, but in the afternoon my temper began raging out of control at nothing and I was irritable and dissatisfied. It took a few hours before I realized that it was probably because I missed my pill and Googled "Adderall withdrawal". Yup. It took me two days of being back on schedule to feel normal again. I didn't have any binge urges during that time, but the mood effects were awful.
Thanks for all these comments. I have been taking 30 mgs for about 10 days, but took 2 days off. I binged both days. I didn't expect such a backlash. I was hoping to think through the binge.
Well, back at it tomorrow. But I do experience trouble sleeping. I take it at 4:15 or 5:15 am depending on workout schedule. I am in bed by 10, but can't sleep until 11 or so, which makes it extremely hard to get up at 4:15!
I also notice a slight decline in effectiveness in the evening, but don't want to increase dosage because of sleep disturbances.
Anyone have similar experiences at the beginning?
Loving the complete absence of obsessing about food! Unbelievable.
Thanks.
I have binge eating disorder but I have been treating it by going to OA (a support group for binge eaters). It has been helping but I still constantly obsess about food. I am really interested in starting a prescription but I have never told my doctor and fear that she will think that I just want it for school (I am in University). Any advice? Honestly, my friend has a low dose prescription and I have taken it (dumb idea) but it really does help with eating but I can't tell a doctor that :(.
Any advice?
Tell your Dr. They hear everything and if you can't trust your Dr then who? Bottom line is if it works it works. She may give you a lecture but it will be worth it.
I works for me and I "stumbled" upon it too.
Thanks for the advice! I finally went to my doctor and she prescribed it! It works so much and it helps me focus more in school without wanting to go eat all of the time when I get stressed :)
I took Vyvanse for 4 months. It worked great... while I was taking it. Except for the insomnia and resting heart rate at 120bpm and the headaches and irritability. I loved that it removed my desire to obsess about food. I could be at home, alone, with a box of Krispy Kreme doughnuts and I was immune to them. Before starting Vyvanse I had only a minor BED, I was within normal weight limits but wanted that magic pill that would help me effortlessly lose those last 10-12 pounds. And Vyvanse did that. HOWEVER, having a resting heart rate of 120bpm is not healthy, AT ALL. This was while taking a dosage of only 10mg.
The worst part was when I stopped taking it due to the elevated heart rate. I was told there were no side effects, no withdrawal symptoms. Well for me there was one and it was significant - whatever satiety mechanism I possessed before starting the drug was now gone. I was hungry all the time and ate and ate and ate. In great quantities and with more abandon than I ever did before and I gained 25 pounds in six weeks. That was almost three years ago. It took more than a year to be able to recognize when I was full. If I could go back in time and make the choice not to take it, I would. I'm still trying to lose the 25 pounds I gained.
I've been taking Vyvanse for almost 2 months. At first my heart was beating out of my chest and I was very restless and anxious, but that disappeared after 2 or 3 days. I recently increased the dose to 70mg a day. The good news is that I have stopped obsessing and fantasizing about food for the first time in many years. I have lost 15 pounds without trying or even realizing it until I had to go shopping for clothes and I realized I had dropped 2 sizes on top and 1 size in pants. I forget to eat until I actually feel my stomach growling, and even then, I get annoyed that I have to stop what I'm doing to have a meal. I never imagined that food could ever become just a necessity rather than the center of my universe. Even when my depression seemed to get better in the past, the eating habits were extremely difficult to control.
Now a bit of background in case it helps anyone... Last year has been the worst in my life. I sought out a new psychiatrist since my previous psychiatrist of 8 years suggested I get a second opinion because my severe depression was not responding to any medication. I was hospitalized against my will earlier this year for suicidal ideation because of my previous psychiatrist's instructions to stop 2 of my longtime meds too quickly. I also suffered from chronic ideopathic urticaria for 11 months. No treatment worked and my labs were normal, but I had horrible, painfully itchy hives covering my face and body that disappeared as suddenly as they appeared.
The new psychiatrist diagnosed me with both ADHD, BED and several other disorders. I am taking Fetzima, Viibryd, Wellbutrin, and Neurontin as well for the depression. He also added Evekeo, which is also for eating disorders, but I haven't started that yet. Some of the diagnoses are far-fetched and I definitely don't believe I have ADHD (that's been confirmed by the fact that my attention, concentration, and focus haven't changed with this medication); but I know I suffer from BED and I always assumed it was linked to my depression and that it couldn't get better. I went from being a marathon runner weighing 145 pounds to 285 pounds within a few years. I was willing to try anything new since the traditional antidepressants weren't even keeping me functional. I hope this gives someone out there a little hope. I'm still scared, but something seems to be helping.
