I go to school at 7:30 a.m and get home at 5 p.m. I have about 3-4 classes each day. When I get home, I can barely catch up on one of the tv shows I like, and at 6- 6:30 I'm asleep- till the next morning at 7. This has been going on since high school and I'm in college now. I had Iron deficiency, but the medications didn't help me with feeling less tired. My friends go to school, take out side classes, work out, go out, and all I do is sleep!!! I'm so desperate, I might start using drugs like... you know... to feel high or energetic! I'm so tired of being tired.
I always feel tired, is there a drug that will give me energy? (I'm a full- time student)?

I felt like that for about two years. Finally one day absolutely couldn't get out of bed. Have you ever had your thyroid check. I was in icu for a week. Please just have it checked. If you haven't.
Your Dr can order a simple blood test and should check your hormone levels, vitamin D levels, and for any autoimmune disorders (like rheumatoid arthritis, lupus). A sleep study might also be helpful! It could be depression as well, do you have any depression symptoms?
Well, I lost my dad almost two years ago, and since then I've battled anorexia/bulimia and I used to heavily cut. so yeah, I think I can say I was to some extend depressed. and I still am, sort of... I see no point in life, there's nothing that gets me excited anymore and I just am. but I hate going to a shrink... I don't like to feel weak. as weird as that sounds. I rather try to fix the physical problem first, if there's any.
You don't have to go to a shrink to get an antidepressant which could really help you. Your normal, general practitioner or primary care physician can prescribe you some. Wouldn't it be worth it to have a quick chat with your Dr if it could change the rest of your life for the better??
Do not use drugs, all that does is make more problems. Have you had a full physical? Some people can't do as much as others. I have fibromyalgia and I was like you in school, I just couldn't keep going. You need to see a dr and be checked to be sure nothing is wrong, then work from there. B-12 and folic acid help with being tired if you're anemic.
thanks for the answer. I took Fefol daily while injecting B-12 every week for about a year in 2012. It was not working for me. the test results showed that I was getting better, since I have iron deficiency and I desperately wanted to feel better (all the dizziness, weakness, etc). I just didn't feel better! I stopped... Also, don't worry I'm not going to do drugs, I was just kidding. ;)
