I have been on Tri-Sprintec for 4 months now and it is great. I had been on Ortho Tri-cyclen Lo before, but switched because it was so expensive. I have had absolutely no problems with either pill. No headaches, no nausea, no weight gain, no breakout problems, and best of all no pregnancy. On Tri-Sprintec my periods are slightly shorter than they used to be, and I hardly have any cramps now, whereas without birth control pills I had terrible cramps for the first two days of my period. I am not moody, either. I would recommend this pill to anyone currently on Ortho Tri-Cyclen Lo, or anyone at all for that matter.

I'm 16 and have been on birth control for a couple months. I started out on loestrin 24 and loved it, no side effects at all, but it was very expensive, so yesterday my mom got me Tri-Sprintec and I took a pill around 6 and felt fine, so I went to bed and woke up at about 1 in the morning with a horrible feeling in my lower stomach and I felt extremely sick almost as if I had the flu. It ended up getting me very sick and I ended up throwing up.

I'm not happy with this pill at all. I used to take Ortho Lo and never had any problems. Now that I had to switch, I'm more emotional, tired and I cry all the time! It's also made it a lot harder to lose weight. I'm working with the doctor so I can get back on Ortho Lo. I gave it a try.

This is my first birth control and I'm still very pleased with it after one year. I worried that I would gain weight, but my weight has remained around the same (108 - 115 lbs).
The first few months were rough. I was under more stress than usual, but I believe the pill contributed to my frequent crying spells and depression. For those that experience nausea or headaches after taking the pill, please make sure you've eaten recently. If I don't eat something beforehand, I feel like I might throw up and this feeling lasts for 20 - 30 minutes.

I don't like this stuff! I just had my first month of it and for the first 3 weeks I spotted continuously and and the fourth week I had no period! My emotions are going haywire, I cry at everything...I want my Trinessa back!

I have been on Ortho Tri Cyclin Lo on and off for 2 years now and haven't had a problem. My insurance switched me to this medication and I've had nothing but problems with it. Nausea and headaches, my periods have been up to two weeks longs and I've had much pain during the time of them. You should try it for yourself but for me it wasn't good and I took it for 4 months. The doctor had me stay on to see if it got better and it hasn't so I was forced to switch to something else.

This is my first month taking it and is my first birth control ever. So far, I love it. My periods are MUCH lighter, and the cramps aren't as bad as they used to be. My face doesn't brake out as much anymore, but I brake out everywhere else. That never happened to me before. Other than that, the birth control is great.

I am completely satisfied with this pill. Unless you have really bad side effects I wouldn't listen to reviews of people that have been on it for few days only. You have to give your body time to adjust to hormones that you put in, 3-4 months. I am happy with this pill, no side effects at all. It regulated my periods, I know when they're coming and they're short. It keeps my skin clear. No weight gain, slightly bigger breasts but not complaining. No depression, headaches, hair loss or breast soreness. It only costs me $9.99...can't beat that! This pill works perfectly for me.

This is my third type of birth control pill over the last 4 years. I've gone on and off birth control, mostly because I'm not sexually active very much unless I have a boyfriend. Currently I'm on my 5th packet.
Pros:
CHEAP! $9 at Wal-Mart
No taste
Easy to swallow.
Periods reduced to 4-5 days when they were lasting 7-8 days before.
Cons:
Bad nausea and headaches on the first 3 packets.
Slight breast tenderness upon resuming a new packet. Usually only lasts for a couple days.
Delayed periods. On my old birth control I would get them the next day after stopping a packet but now it takes 3-4 days for it to start.
Painful cramps for the first day of period.
Overall, I'd recommend it. All types of birth control will give you some of these side effects.

I agree with the other ladies when they say -try it for yourself. I have never tried any other contraceptive, but I've had a great experience with Tri-sprintec. Of course the first month or two I had the nausea and I still wasn't "regular," but after those few months it's been smooth sailing. I have been on it for around 1 1/2 years now and it's been very successful. I haven't gotten pregnant, I know exactly when my cycle is going to start and end, and you cannot beat the price! I highly recommend it!

I have been on Tri-Sprintec for about 4 years and overall would recommend it to anyone. I have had some moodiness and 'depression' but only certain times of the month, and nothing I can't deal with since I know it's not REAL depression and it doesn't last long. The worst thing about it is occasional nausea. I think taking my pill right before sleeping is the best, and that way I am only nauseated if I wake up really early. I consider these side effects minor after some of my friends experiences of switching pills and all kinds of worse problems.

I'm 20 years old and have been on Tri-Sprintec for 6 days. This is my first contraceptive pill and will not be staying with it. I normally do not have mood swings, even around my period, but within the first few days of taking Tri-Sprintec I had to call my doctor and switch pills. I felt absolutely crazy and ended up skipping classes because I was crying to badly to attend. It also gave me a couple of terrible headaches, which could have been an allergic reaction. Whatever it was, I will not be taking this any longer.

I just started taking birth control 7 months ago and sadly I've had to switch now a third time. With Tri-Sprintec I'm more moody and my boyfriend and I argue a lot. I haven't felt like throwing up very much like I did with my first birth control pills. Even after switching I'm experincing little to no side effects compared to the last time I switched. Hopefully I'm finally done switching pills, good luck to everyone!

I have been on this birth control for 6 months, and have had no problems with it. This is my first time on birth control. Overall taking a pill everyday is sometimes hard to remember, but I set my alarm on my phone to go off at the same time everyday, so that helps. But as far as side effects I have not experienced any.

I was automatically switched to Tri Sprintec as the new preferred generic at my pharmacy (I was taking Trinessa). I have never had such awful migraines or nausea in my life. My fiance finally pushed me to call the pharmacy and get my old pill back. It's been a huge fiasco but I'd rather be off the pill than take Tri Sprintec any longer.

I am 28 years old. I have never felt any side effects from any birth control I have ever taken. My Doctor, however, switched me to this one because of the price I assume. Since I began taking it a month ago, I have been extremely emotional, crying when I'm happy, crying when I am sad. My mood swings are having an affect on my relationship, my kids and husband, as I am less patient and more tired. My face is also breaking out, which normally only happens when I am PMSing the week before my period. I called my doctor today to switch me off of this. I am only stating my experience, to reassure others if having the same side effects that it is not you coming down with depression. It is only the pill.

I started taking birth control at 18 years old, I am now 25. I was on Ortho-Tri-Cyclen for about 5 years, did great on it. Due to insurance I had to switch to Trinessa, heavier periods and more mood swings followed. Now the pharmacy gave my Tri-Sprintec because they don't carry Trinessa. I am on day 8 and am getting more nauseous by the day. The Pharmacist assured me that Trinessa and Tri-Sprintec are the exact same medicines, just made by two different manufacturers, but I have never felt so nauseous in my life. I know pregnancy is not even a consideration because my period just ended the week I started taking the Tri-Sprintec. I will be switching back to Trinessa next month, no matter the cost! Hope this helps someone with similar situation!

I have been on the birth control pill for the majority of the past 20 years and have never had any issues until now. I have been on Trinessa for the past 5 or so. My pharmacy switched from Trinessa to Tri-Sprintec and I do not like it at all. I have been extremely nauseous, crying for no apparent reason and bickering with my Boyfriend. I was fortunate enough to talk to my pharmacy today and they are bringing in a case of Trinessa for me and I couldn't be more thrilled. I understand they say there are the same ingredients in both, but my body believes otherwise.

I've been on this pill for just over 2 weeks now, and I've only experienced some side effects. The little acne I did have has been reduced, and in the first week I experienced slight breast tenderness for like 2 or 3 days, but it wasn't bad at all. Now that I think about it, I have become a little more sensitive to certain things my boyfriend says, but nothing major that's messing up our relationship or anything. Or, it might be caused by his innocent teasing getting to me after a while. But I think this birth control pill is very good for me, and I hope you all have a positive experience with this like I do.

I just started using this birth control. I'm still on my first pack. I've been moody and I have a little acne problem but reading these reviews have helped me know that maybe it'll go away. My breasts have been somewhat tender, but are improving now. I haven't experienced much weight-gain. And the first two weeks I felt sick, but never actually vomited. I have been more tired than normal also. But overall- it's a nice pill, small and convenient.
Thanks for the other reviews! It's reassuring!

You know, I have to say that reading most these reviews scared me but I went ahead and took Tri-Sprintec anyway after being automatically switched from Tri-Cyclen Lo and I am not experiencing any side effects. I don't even notice a difference so my advice to other people is to try it out and not base your opinion on these reviews because each women's body will react differently to any prescription medicine and you will never know if it's a fit for you until you give it a try.

Tri-Sprintec was my first birth control. I'm 15 and I'd never had a regular period until this contraceptive. I haven't had any side effects except for breast sensitivity but even that hasn't been severe. My periods are also shorter, they used to be 6-7 days but now they are 4. I definitely love this birth control and will be sticking to it for a while.

I got Tri Sprintec as a birth control but I should have gone on it a long time ago to regulate periods. I love being able to predict when I'll start bleeding and I love that it has shortened my periods (Now it is six days).
I had been on doxycycline for acne but it conflicted with the pill so I stopped. The first month of Tri Sprintec I was worried because I didn't stop bleeding. After the first month though, I've had no problems and no irregular bleeding. I've been on it for half a year.

I'm still on my first pack. I got it for irregular periods and for birth control. My boyfriend says my moods are way worse than they ever were before and my mood swings are pretty bad sometimes. Plus when I did have my period before it lasted a week tops now its like 2 weeks and spotting even a week or two after or before. But it never made me sick like my friends and I didn't get any rashes.

I have been on Tri Sprintec for 7 years and have overall had no problems with it. I started taking it to clear up my severe acne. I had been to dermatologist after dermatologist and had been on every cream and pill to treat my acne and nothing worked until I got on Tri Sprintec. I did not gain any weight, my skin cleared up, my periods were regulated, I did not experience any spotting or anything like that. I am changing birth control pills after this pack due to longer periods. My period had always been about 6-7 days but the past few months it has been 10-12 days. I'm not sure if the lengthened period is due to the Tri Sprintec but I never had any problems with it until recently. I would recommend Tri Sprintec to anyone.

Well I'm an 18 year old teen just trying to be safe and smart, but continue a normal life with little side affects and this pill definitely did that for my twin sister and I. We love it. It's small and easy to swallow. No mood swings, no cramps, no sleepiness, or confusing abnormal bleeding that worries you for days it's wonderful. We both recommend this to whoever is looking for a reliable contraceptive pill.
