baclofen for Periodic Limb Movement Disorder: I have very bad Restless Leg Syndrome. I take 30mg @ bedtime, and normally the Baclofen helps pretty well with keeping my legs under control.
baclofen for Cerebral Spasticity: I also have spastic diplegia, diagnosed at the age of 2. I have less pain and no spasms while taking this medication. It does what it is supposed to do.
baclofen for Alcohol Withdrawal: I was suffering from alcohol addiction all my adult life (I'm now 47) and in the last few years alcohol abuse increased to bottle of Scotch every day. It cost me my family (divorce) which I deeply regret every single day now. Finally I went to First Step Drug & Alcohol clinic with a little hope and Dr. J.G prescribe me Baclofen 10mg tablets once or twice a day. When I've looked up the dictionary where it says this medicine is used for sclerosis treatment only. But: Baclofen created a miracle: I went through pain of withdrawal with great ease and didn't have cravings and stop drinking. After few months I started drinking beer. I went to my GP and he refused to prescribe Baclofen to me on basis he knows nothing about Baclofen to help alcoholics.

baclofen for Muscle Spasm: I have bone spurs on my cervical spine and I have severe muscle spasms and chronic back pain along with restless syndrome and degenerative bone disease. Yes I'm also falling apart and I'm only 38 yrs old. My doctor tried different scripts to relieve the pain and burning in my neck and shoulder but I never found relief until I started taking 10mg Baclofen. It also helped me at night with my insomnia. I thank my doctor at every visit. I'd still be in pain if it weren't for Baclofen.

baclofen for Cerebral Spasticity: I was diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy (Spastic Diplegia), when I was 2. I‘ve been taking Baclofen for 2 years and it’s been helping me tremendously for stiffness of my legs and muscle spasm!
baclofen for Muscle Spasm: I have severe back pain, and nerve impingement. I have tried at least 7 medications that are used to treat this disorder. There are some that work better but the side effects make it impossible to live a normal life. There are those that don't work at all. This is the only medication that I have taken that allows me to live a normal life. I can sit in a chair or ride in a car without my back spasms killing me. Baclofen is the only medicine I have found that allows me to work without spasms, and not be so fatigued like a zombie.

Lioresal (baclofen) for Muscle Spasm: I find this medication has been great in controlling the muscle spasms I have been experiencing. However it isn't very effective in easing the neuropathic pain I also experience.

Gablofen (baclofen) for Spasticity: I have severe spasticity and this medicine really helps my muscles to relax. I only take 20 mg a day however if I do need to take an additional pill for the "bad days" I don't suffer any additional side effects...only a bit more sleepier by the end of the day.

baclofen for Muscle Spasm: I had back surgery- severe, debilitating migraines (one per week)- a stroke at age 30 (8 years ago)- knee, shoulder, wrist, ankle and hand surgeries. Call me Humpty Dumpty because I would have fallen apart but Baclofen has helped put me back together again. It cuts down on the spasms and helps dull the pain. My migraines are down to 1 a month and over within 12-24 hours. I take 10MGs x 8 pills before bed. I take Ambien to help me sleep but have HUGE problems waking up and staying awake. I have fallen asleep at work (bad when you are a teacher). My Dr. started me on Nuvigil 250MG mornings and it is a life/job saver. Also taking Seroquel, Nexium, Triliptal, Exalgo, Lexapro, 15000 UI of vitamin D and had to start Hyzaar since beginning Baclofen.
baclofen for Trigeminal Neuralgia: Baclofen reduces the chronic pain of trigeminal neuralgia to a great extent. For me, it mutes the pain to a tolerable level. It does not reduce my ability to think clearly, as occurred with the use of various anti-seizure medications, i.e. Trileptil, Dilantin, Neurontin, etc. For me, it does not yet appear to have a reduced effect despite taking it over a long period of time. The side-effects for me are relatively benign and, in some cases, interesting. Higher doses cause drowsiness. Lower doses include the following side effects,
- Subtle muscle relaxation
- Increased muscle tone
- Surprising endurance and lack of fatigue at high-levels of physical activity
- Absence of soreness following the aforementioned physical activity

baclofen for Muscle Spasm: This medicine should not be given to the elderly due to side effects causing dizziness. If you are experiencing nausea prior to the use of this medicine, do not take it, it will increase the symptoms.

baclofen for Muscle Twitching: Could not sleep at all while taking this medication, didn't help my muscle twitches, and gave me severe long lasting migraines.
baclofen for Muscle Spasm: I have been taking Baclofen for over 5 years for muscle spasms and sciatica. It helps tremendously for the spasms and overall back muscle mobility but does nothing for sciatica pain. This is an outstanding adjunct to an NSAID or other pain reliever. Baclofen has allowed me to completely bend over and put my palms on the floor; something I couldn't do for years. I share the sentiment of an old post that Baclofen off label significantly decreases my anxiety associated with post traumatic stress disorder. I take 10mgs three times a day. Highly recommend this for spasms, anxiety and increased quality of sleep.

baclofen for Alcohol Withdrawal: This medicine helped me to stop drinking almost immediately. I started on 200mg every 2 hrs and am now on 1200mg every 6 hrs. It is a miracle pill! I advise any alcoholic to try it!

baclofen for Alcohol Withdrawal: I am in my late 30's and have struggled with alcohol since I was in high school. In one way or another, I can connect alcohol to every major problem I have had in my adult life. Whether it has been interpersonal, financial, legal, or health related - alcohol has been the source of my troubles all throughout my adult life. About one year ago I was prescribed Baclofen to help with my sciatica. Little did I know that this medicine is also prescribed for alcohol withdrawal. Without even being conscious of it, or putting in any effort into quitting drinking, I just stopped. The cravings just vanished and before I knew it I had gone a few weeks without a drop. I have been on it since and have never had a craving in all that time.

Lioresal (baclofen) for Migraine Prevention: I have been taking it for 90 days. The medication seems to have leveled off the severity and frequency of my migraines. I take several medications and along with this medication it seems to be really effective. The side effects are a lot better than taking opiates or anything that makes you dizzy and ineffective. I take Topiramate, Bupropion, Amitriptyline, Gabapentin. When a headache hits I take a Sumatriptan and let it dissolve in my mouth.

baclofen for Alcohol Withdrawal: A dream come true. I have some serious psychiatric problems and I'm addicted to alcohol. I slowly upped the dose and the side effects at 80 mg were vision problems, depression and confusion but they got away. Now 5 weeks later I quit drinking and feel more confident. Getting there!

baclofen for Muscle Spasm: Was given this medication post hysteroscopy when I suffered severe hip, knee and leg pain. Nothing touched it. Had major painkillers to no effect. Baclofen was a lifesaver. Also have fibromyalgia and the bonus is I can feel a massive difference with that now as well. Am a bit dizzy, hope it will pass in time cause the benefits are worth it! No other side effects at all.

baclofen for Muscle Spasm: Finally relief. I have suffered all of my adult life with severe pain from menstrual cramps. After taking Lupron (which stopped my period) I was left with these reactive painful pelvic/uterine muscle spasms. The muscle would seize up and cause pain for no reason. Baclofen worked from day one. And no sleepiness and no loopy feeling--very nice.
baclofen for Muscle Spasm: Take 3x/day for fibromyalgia - lifesaver! Tried almost all other muscle relaxers, and baclofen works the best for chronic muscle spasms and pain.

baclofen for Migraine Prevention: I have had migraines for 6 years and have tried every medication from, Topamax to Zonegran to Depakote. Since I've started taking baclofen 20mg x 3 times daily, 6 months ago, I have had one breakthrough headache and even then I was able to function. I'm not saying baclofen is the "perfect migraine prevention medicine" but for me, it's been my miracle pill.
