Serious side effects of anacaulase topical

Along with its needed effects, anacaulase topical may cause some unwanted effects. Although not all of these side effects may occur, if they do occur they may need medical attention.

Check with your doctor or nurse immediately if any of the following side effects occur while taking anacaulase topical:

More common side effects

• pale skin
• trouble breathing
• unusual bleeding or bruising
• unusual tiredness or weakness

Less common side effects

• bladder pain
• bloody or cloudy urine
• blurred vision
• confusion
• cough or hoarseness
• difficult, burning, or painful urination
• dizziness, faintness, or lightheadedness when getting up suddenly from a lying or sitting position
• eye pain
• fast, pounding, or irregular heartbeat or pulse
• fever or chills
• frequent urge to urinate
• general feeling of illness
• headache
• lower back or side pain
• sore throat
• stomach pain
• sweating

Incidence not known

• chest tightness
• difficulty swallowing
• hives, itching, skin rash
• puffiness or swelling of the eyelids or around the eyes, face, lips, or tongue

Other side effects of anacaulase topical

Some side effects of anacaulase topical may occur that usually do not need medical attention. These side effects may go away during treatment as your body adjusts to the medicine. Also, your health care professional may be able to tell you about ways to prevent or reduce some of these side effects.

General adverse events

The most common adverse reactions with a frequency of greater than 10% were pruritus and pyrexia.

Dermatologic

• Very common (10% or more): Pruritus (15%)
• Common (1% to 10%): Decubitus ulcer, rash, scar^[Ref]

Gastrointestinal

• Common (1% to 10%): Vomiting^[Ref]

Cardiovascular

• Common (1% to 10%): Tachycardia^[Ref]

Genitourinary

• Common (1% to 10%): Urinary tract infection^[Ref]

Hematologic

• Common (1% to 10%): Anemia, hypotension, leukocytosis, subcutaneous hematoma^[Ref]

Hepatic

• Common (1% to 10%): Abnormal hepatic function^[Ref]

Hypersensitivity

• Common (1% to 10%): Drug hypersensitivity
• Postmarketing reports: Hypersensitivity (including anaphylaxis and urticaria)^[Ref]

Local

• Common (1% to 10%): Wound complication^[Ref]

Wound complication includes skin graft failure, graft loss, graft complication, and wound decomposition.^[Ref]

Nervous system

• Very common (10% or more): Pyrexia (12%)
• Common (1% to 10%): Insomnia^[Ref]

Other

• Common (1% to 10%): Bacteremia, infection, sepsis^[Ref]
