Can Tepezza treat eye bulging and double vision?
Yes, Tepezza is very good at treating eye bulging and double vision caused by thyroid eye disease with 8 out of 10 patients (82.9%) reporting a significant improvement in eye bulging, compared to placebo (an inactive treatment). Tepezza can also improve double vision (also called diplopia), visual ability, and physical appearance.
Tepezza reduced eye bulging by at least 2mm in the OPTIC study and also reduced eye swelling and how far the bulging eye protruded forward. It works by decreasing inflammation, preventing muscle and fat tissue remodeling, and preventing tissue expansion behind the eye. Patients also experienced less pain and redness from treatment. During clinical trials, improvements were noticed within six weeks.
