2 potential interactions and/or warnings found for the following 2 drugs:
- Imlygic (talimogene laherparepvec)
- ixazomib
Interactions between your drugs
talimogene laherparepvec ixazomib
Applies to: Imlygic (talimogene laherparepvec), ixazomib
If you are currently being treated or have recently been treated with ixazomib, you should let your doctor know before receiving talimogene laherparepvec. Depending on the dose and length of time you have been on ixazomib, you may be at risk for developing a potentially life-threatening herpes infection from exposure to talimogene laherparepvec. In some situations, your doctor may want to delay treatment with talimogene laherparepvec to give your body time to recover from the effects of ixazomib therapy. It is important to tell your doctor about all other medications you use, including vitamins and herbs. Do not stop using any medications without first talking to your doctor.
Drug and food interactions
ixazomib food
Applies to: ixazomib
Food may interfere with the absorption of ixazomib, which may lead to lower blood levels of the medication and possibly reduced effectiveness. You should take ixazomib at least 1 hour before or 2 hours after eating. On days when you take both ixazomib and dexamethasone, make sure you do not take them at the same time, since ixazomib should be taken on an empty stomach while dexamethasone should be taken with food to prevent irritation and injury to the stomach.
Therapeutic duplication warnings
No duplication warnings were found for your selected drugs.
Therapeutic duplication warnings are only returned when drugs within the same group exceed the recommended therapeutic duplication maximum.
