neomycin valACYclovir
Applies to: neomycin, Valtrex (valacyclovir)
ValACYclovir can sometimes cause damage to the kidneys, and using it with other medications that can also affect the kidneys such as neomycin may increase that risk. Let your doctor know if you develop some or all of these symptoms during treatment with these medications. You may need a dose adjustment or more frequent monitoring by your doctor to safely use both medications. It is important to tell your doctor about all other medications you use, including vitamins and herbs. Do not stop using any medications without first talking to your doctor.
