Interactions between your drugs
midodrine alfuzosin
Applies to: midodrine, Uroxatral (alfuzosin)
GENERALLY AVOID: Midodrine, an alpha agonist, when used in combination with alpha adrenergic blockers may lead to a decreased therapeutic effect in some patients. The mechanism is due to pharmacologic antagonism at the alpha adrenoreceptor.
MANAGEMENT: Alpha adrenergic blockers should be avoided, if possible, in patients taking midodrine for orthostatic hypotension.
