Administration advice:

  • The anterolateral thigh is the preferred site for infants 6 to 11 months.
  • The deltoid muscle of the upper arm is the preferred site for patients 1 year and older.
  • Mix thoroughly by inversion before each administration.
  • If the vaccine has been refrigerated, place at room temperature for a minimum of 15 minutes prior to administration.

Storage requirements:
  • Refrigerate; do not freeze
  • Protect from light
  • Discard if frozen

Reconstitution/preparation techniques:
  • Place antigen and adjuvant at room temperature for a minimum of 15 minutes before mixing.
  • Mix thoroughly by inversion; label antigen (now containing vaccine) vial with date and time mixed.
  • After mixing, store at room temperature or refrigerated for up to 24 hours.

IV compatibility:
  • Do not mix with any other vaccine in the same syringe or vial.
