For Influenza "Did not have any psychiatric issues or gastrointestinal symptoms like the reviewers below. Thankful that my doctor prescribed this to me. I have asthma and this medication helped me from becoming progressively worse. Everyone is different, talk to your doctor before taking this if you have a history or family history of mental health problems."

For Influenza "After taking the second dose of Tamiflu, I began to throw up unconditionally. I could eat or drink anything for over a day. I only took 3 doses. Not worth it at all! Just makes you very sick. Now it's been 4 days since I took my last dose of 3 pills, and I can still hardly stomach food, and my stool is pale."

For Influenza "Tuesday 2 am chills, sweats, fever, horrible body aches, headache. Got in to see the doctor on Wednesday 10 am and tested positive for influenza. Took the first dose of Tamiflu right after the doctor's appointment, and it's now Friday 11 am, and I'm feeling different. I can actually get around the house, no fever, sweats, chills, headache, etc., just still draggy and tired, but still 2 days of medicine left. I will say it definitely works!"

For Influenza "This was prescribed to my 17-month-old son, and he started behaving weird when he was sleeping. He would wake up every 20 minutes screaming, and sometimes he would be scared of me. I was not informed about the possible side effects. I decided to Google Tamiflu, and that's when I realized that it was responsible for my baby's odd behavior. Doctors should warn parents about these side effects before they write the prescription."

For Influenza "Symptoms began on a Monday. Tested positive for influenza A on Wednesday and started Tamiflu. It's Friday, and I feel worse than I did yesterday. Fever returned today, slept poorly last night, headache worse, terrible taste in my mouth. Hate to run back to the doctor already. Maybe it was too late for the Tamiflu?"

For Influenza "Be aware of the side effects before taking this medication. The doctor said I had the flu and prescribed me Tamiflu, 75 mg every 12 hours. I started having headaches, and shortly after that, I started vomiting severely with intense abdominal pain. I had to rush to the hospital because the stomach pain was unbearable. When I got to the hospital, the doctor told me to stop taking Tamiflu. I’m still feeling the abdominal pain, but not as bad, and still can’t eat anything. Never again will I be taking this medication!!"

For Influenza "My husband was prescribed Tamiflu for influenza. Immediately, upon beginning the script, he got diarrhea. Everything he ate, including popsicles, would require an immediate trip to the bathroom. His doctor advised continuing the script anyway, so after two days of constant bathroom trips, he stopped eating for the remaining 3 days of the script. The medicine also caused insomnia for 48 hours and feelings of depression (which my husband is not normally subject to). I cannot imagine a scenario where I could recommend this medication. And nobody in our family will take it again."

For Influenza "Woke on a Sat. with a temp of 100.5. Popped two Advil and made it to 4 p.m. when I realized I was sick. Trip to doc in the box confirmed type A flu. Took first dose of Tamiflu Sunday night at 10 p.m., slept through the night, took second dose at 10 a.m. the following morning. Feeling much better, just tired. Eat something before you take the meds. My stomach was tore up because I did not eat a snack with the morning dose."

For Influenza "Fever 103, tested positive for flu B, started Tamiflu. Fever broke, but had horrible headaches, insomnia, and total loss of appetite. Headache was horrible. Stopped taking it at day 4 and still have a headache and feel 'off', not right."

For Influenza "I was diagnosed with influenza A. My doctor prescribed Tamiflu. The worst mistake I ever made was taking that stuff. It made me feel worse than the flu itself: nausea, vomiting, anxiety, sleeplessness. Took six doses out of 10, and I had to stop, I could not take it anymore. I will never take Tamiflu again!"

For Influenza "Awoke with flu Monday morning... full on symptoms of aches, fever, chills, and sweating, and plenty of dry coughing. By day 3 of the flu and still having a fever, I went to see my doc, who prescribed Tamiflu. I’d never taken nor heard of it. Took the first dose yesterday and felt the same with two huge sweats. Awoke this morning feeling much better than the previous day. Took the 3rd dose of Tamiflu this morning and by now, mid-day, I’m feeling like I’m quite a bit better. Residual body aches and occasional cough, but nothing like previous days of the flu! And no side effects whatsoever."

For Influenza "I have had the flu many times over the last half-century, but last year, even after the flu vaccine, was the absolute worst. This year, symptoms hit me like a ton of bricks on a Friday afternoon: pulse of 120, fever of 102, terrible chills, and body aches. I headed straight to a clinic (the doctor's office was closed) and got a prescription for Tamiflu, which I started immediately. When I awoke the next day, my symptoms were much better. I still had the flu, but a mild case."

For Influenza "This is the worst 'medicine' I have ever taken... I went to urgent care and it was prescribed to me. The next morning, I took one pill, and within 30 minutes, I started vomiting. I vomited 4 times within 1 hour and then was dry heaving. Then I did a little bit of research on the drug, and some of these reviews are scary! Hallucinations? Really?! It's not worth it, don't waste your money and time. I would rather suffer through the flu than ever take another one of those pills again. I learned my lesson: always do some research before taking a new medication. My doctor didn't mention any side effects to me, nor did the packaging mention any."

For Influenza "Tested positive for H1N1 on Monday after feeling miserable! Was unable to breathe from my nose, sore throat, back ache, terrible cough that made my ribs burn. Started the meds Tuesday, and now (Wednesday afternoon) I'm feeling tons better! Achiness is gone, breathing easier, not quite so tired. It was expensive but totally worth it in my opinion."

For Influenza "I was prescribed Tamiflu Tuesday evening, took my first dose shortly after getting home from the doctor. I ate a small meal as it said to, but nonetheless, an hour or two later I was throwing up, felt horrible. I stopped taking this medication after the one dose, and the next day I felt better. I hate this medication and will not take it again."

For Influenza "After mild symptoms of upper respiratory symptoms the day before, I awoke the next morning with a 103.9°F temp and thinking I might need to be hospitalized. My primary care physician had 1 sick visit slot open (thank goodness). By history and physical, she diagnosed the flu and prescribed Tamiflu. I took the first dose and went back to bed. Six hours later, I felt better and had no fever. I agree, it is miraculous!"

For Influenza "I came down with the flu while traveling for work, and a local clinic wrote me a prescription. The doctor told me it wouldn't make me feel better but rather shorten the duration. I figured I might as well try it. I've stopped after three doses - awful diarrhea and nausea. I'd rather let nature take its course than go through what I have for the last ten hours."

For Influenza "I started taking Tamiflu on the 3rd day of having the flu. It actually made the flu symptoms go away by the next day, but the side effects are not worth it. I got so dizzy I couldn’t even stand up. I had cold sweats and nausea from the dizziness. I also got horrible abdominal cramping and diarrhea. I stopped the medication after the 3rd dose because I couldn’t take care of my daughter or myself from the intense dizziness. I would not recommend this medication."

For Influenza "Caused me painful nausea and then vomiting about 30 minutes after taking it. Had to use a suppository promethazine to relieve nausea. Took it again about 5 years later for another flu - same thing happened. Just made me feel worse, but it worked for the rest of my family."

For Influenza "I got the flu, and it hit me hard. I fainted and was so sick that I went to the ER. They tested me, and I had influenza B. They prescribed this antibiotic, and the first time I took it, I felt completely fine, however, on the second day I took it, I got intense nausea and vomited to try to feel better. As soon as I started vomiting, I got a nosebleed as well. I spent the night vomiting continuously, and after that, I couldn’t keep anything down for about 2 days, along with intense pain in my abdomen. This felt worse than the actual flu."

For Influenza "Daughter was swabbed for the flu, which came back negative. However, based on symptoms, the Urgent Care doctor still prescribed Tamiflu. She took three pills and literally began sleeping in the bathroom due to the constant diarrhea. Was told to just take Pepto-Bismol. By day two, she had blood in her stools, sweating, and stomach/abdominal pains that have been so bad that she can't get out of bed. She's had a constant headache, to where she just needs to stop and hold her head. On day four since stopping the medicine and is still eating, still occasional diarrhea, and the stomach pains are still present. I have been forcing liquids to make sure she doesn't get dehydrated from the lack of eating and constant diarrhea. Never again will I allow her to even accept this medication from a doctor! This medicine needs to be taken off of the market!"

For Influenza "Over the course of 6 hours, I went from mild neck pain to full 9/10 body pain, a splitting headache, and 101.5 fever. Stopped at urgent care, where I laid for three hours. Tested positive for Flu A. Given Tamiflu and recommended to alternate Advil and Tylenol. Took first dose on an empty stomach, had a night of cold sweats (but still slept well), and woke up with only a mild headache and low-grade fever. Having not eaten for 24 hours, took the next dose with soup and crackers. I’m now on dose 6 of 10. Fever and headache are gone, even without Advil/Tylenol. No other symptoms have cropped up—GI or respiratory. I’ve been mostly in bed resting for two days straight, but feel good enough to join the family again today. Tamiflu was a true godsend. I thought that was it for me two days ago, and now I’m on my feet again like nothing happened."

For Influenza "I was told Tamiflu was amazing, but I didn't think it was going to be. I got the medicine the first day I discovered I had all the symptoms of the flu. I was running a fever of 102, and my body was killing me. It hurt to move at all. I took my first dose at night. I woke up the next morning, and my body felt like I had experienced a miracle. My muscles weren't sore anymore at all. I felt at least 50% better after one dose! I'm on day 3 of the medicine, and I feel pretty good considering how the flu usually has you feeling. I predict I will be fully functioning by tomorrow."

For Influenza "I took Tamiflu about 30 hours after showing flu symptoms. A nasal swab showed I was positive for Type A influenza. I vomited about 1 1/2 hours after the first two doses. I was tempted to stop the medication but did not. I am feeling nearly 100% better, and it is now day 4. I would definitely take this again."

For Influenza "Went to the doctor with the flu. Started Tamiflu. In two days, started noticing a rash, swelling in hands, arms, legs, and feet. Could not sleep, though extremely tired. Weakness and dizziness were terrible."
