For Influenza "Well, I paid $40 for something that makes me throw up and get a bad headache?? I am only on the second dose, and I pray tonight I don't vomit, lol. Why is this a side effect?? I don't get it :( after last night's episode, I was scared to even take this tonight, but I did, lol."

For Influenza "I had a horrible experience with Tamiflu. The first dosage I took made me highly nauseous for hours. I took my second dosage, and I couldn't stop vomiting. I quit taking it because, without it, I can at least keep fluids down."

For Avian Influenza "Was sick for 1 week, went to the doctor, she gave Tamiflu. I have mastocytosis, so I'm immunocompromised. Bad sinus, nothing given for sinus. 101-102 fever, vomiting, diarrhea, swollen neck gland, feel bad all over, weak. Tamiflu helped until I finished 5 days, then it came back with a vengeance, sicker now than I was before. Called the doctor, she said not giving anything. Guess it's the ER if I feel any worse, it's hard to breathe already."

For Influenza "My granddaughter was put on this medicine after being diagnosed 1 day for flu. She took 3-4 liquid doses and ended up in the ER to get anti-nausea medication because it made her sicker than the flu itself. She discontinued it immediately and made a 360-degree turnaround. She had an upset stomach with vomiting and sneezing, red eyes, and watery mucus. This medication is definitely NOT the answer and NOT worth the money it cost!!!!"

For Influenza "Went to the doctor this morning and found out I had the flu. My symptoms began 2 days ago, so they said I’m right at the end of it working, but to try it anyway. I haven’t been having an appetite lately due to the illness, but I made sure to eat before taking the medicine since I didn’t want to take it on an empty stomach. Within 3 hours, I was severely nauseous and just threw up 5 times. I will not be continuing this medication. I am going to let my body fight this off naturally. These side effects are not worth it to me."

For Influenza "I started experiencing symptoms of the flu exactly 48 hours before I was prescribed Tamiflu. After my first dose, I experienced extreme nausea and vomiting within thirty minutes and decided the medication wasn't worth the pain. I hadn't had any issues with nausea before taking Tamiflu. Although the next morning, I was already feeling noticeably better. I won't continue the medication, as the worst part of the flu is already over, but I don't think I will be taking it again."

For Influenza "My doctor prescribed Tamiflu for me yesterday after I was told I have influenza. I was hesitant to take it out of fear of the side effects. But I gave it a try anyway. I threw up after two hours of taking the first dose, but then immediately began to feel better after a few hours. I was going to discontinue taking it if the second dose made me vomit. Thankfully it didn’t. Instead, my fever broke by morning. I truly believe Tamiflu helped decrease the severity of my flu symptoms as well as shorten the duration of this terrible flu. Thank you, Tamiflu!"

For Influenza "My 5-year-old daughter tested positive for Influenza A. She was prescribed Tamiflu. I also got a prescription of Tamiflu because I also had a fever, body aches, sore throat, and coughing. We both took one dose of Tamiflu, and it made both of us throw up so much that we decided not to take anymore. I actually feel better not taking it. We can actually hold down food and fluids when we don’t take Tamiflu."

For Influenza "My husband tested positive for the flu, so my midwife prescribed me Tamiflu the second I started feeling any symptoms. I’m 16 weeks pregnant, and she wanted to make sure the flu didn’t turn into anything more serious. I was nervous to take it because of all the bad reviews of vomiting, but decided to try it anyway. I wish now that I hadn’t! The first day of taking it was fine, and I thought I was in the clear, but sure enough, about 1 hour after my third dose, I became extremely nauseated and threw up all afternoon. This medicine is not worth it! My husband, however, has not had any bad side effects at all from it, so it does work for some people. I will not be taking it again, though!"

For Influenza "My 5-year-old woke up with a fever and lethargic, called the doctor, had her in by 8 a.m. She tested positive for the flu, so they gave her Tamiflu and antibiotics. Poor baby would puke for 10 minutes twice a day. Imagine this twice a day for a week. I called the doctor, they say don't discontinue. Said nothing of nausea. I have 2 teenagers and have been through the flu several times and have never seen anything like it. Never again. False sense of feeling better, then you are on the floor puking till your eyes are bloodshot and glossed over. So sad. I won't do the next box."

For Swine Flu "Had the worst flu I ever experienced. High and low temperatures, aching body, and delirium (swine flu). I was told not to go near the doctor's surgery (I was too ill to get out of bed anyway). No doctor would visit me at home. A relative was allowed to collect a prescription for Tamiflu and bring it to me, with as little contact as possible. I was warned about vomiting as a side effect. I vomited soon after taking the first dose, and the nausea lasted for 24 hours. However, my flu symptoms started to subside within that 24 hours, and I was on my way to recovering within a few days of taking Tamiflu."

For Influenza "I keep puking, and there's nothing stopping it. I can't handle even drinking sips of water without it coming back up, there is nothing left in my stomach. I ended up having to soak in a bath just to absorb some kind of water, and it wasn't until hours later of sleeping and puking that I managed to handle just water."

For Influenza "Y'all... I woke up this morning feeling all the flu symptoms and went to the doctor and got prescribed Tamiflu. I came home, ate some soup (they say don’t take on an empty stomach). About an hour later, I am throwing up uncontrollably-so far, 4 times in an hour. I still feel so nauseous and would NOT recommend this to anyone!!"

For Influenza "The doc prescribed Tamiflu, and I vomited, headaches, and even got a worse fever. Prior to this drug, I was just taking paracetamol, I only had a fever and body ache, but when I took the Tamiflu, I wish I hadn't taken it because my side effects were severe, and it is quite expensive."

For Influenza "Now I have had the A flu, B flu, as well as when the swine flu was an epidemic, I got hit with a cross of that and avian flu. I don't remember taking Tamiflu. I again have the B flu, and upon taking the Tamiflu that my doctor prescribed me, I began profusely vomiting to the point where I couldn't breathe and had begun to cough up blood. I don't know what is in Tamiflu, but that med has it in it. Have you ever had to throw up a NyQuil? It's like slowly coughing up the worst cough syrup known to man."

For Influenza "I had the flu for a week before taking Tamiflu. I will say that after completing the five-day course, my flu lifted, but my God, the side effects! Started this on a Saturday, vomited on Sunday, stomach upsets Monday and Tuesday, plus nausea. Wednesday, I was severely sick on my last day of tablets. I tried taking it with and without food, but to no avail. I was vomiting three times and could barely sleep, even the smell of food was enough to make me severely nauseous. It's now the day after the end of the course, still had stomach upsets but can eat again. I'm on my 11th day of being ill since these pills added five days of sickness to my illness. I don't think I could take this again, couldn't even keep down dry toast and water yesterday despite being starvingly hungry. I've also lost loads of weight, not slept well at all, and felt irritable and weepy. If I ever need an antiviral again, I won't be taking this, never felt so ill in my entire life."

For Influenza "Was told I tested positive for flu, given Tamiflu. Threw up within an hour, with diarrhea. Now, awful stomach pains and sweating. Feel like I'll be hitting round two for vomit. Spent $100 to flush it? Nope. Not taking."

For Influenza "My cough became a fever with aches and pains that I described as a 10 on the pain scale. After having a shot in my butt and 2 Tamiflu pills later, all aches and pains are gone. I can get up and about again. The only thing I'm concerned about is my temperature has been reading 96 degrees all day, even though I feel fine. Wondering if that is normal for this drug. Also, to those of you who get nauseous and/or throw up from taking this pill, here is some advice. Cut open the capsule and mix it on a spoon with some sweet syrup (chocolate/strawberry/maple/jelly), whatever you have. I used honey. Then, let it absorb in your mouth. This way, it won't be harsh on your tummy."

For Influenza "I’m a college student, diagnosed with flu on campus, given Tamiflu the same day, started it on the same day. Three days into it, I started puking non-stop, had to go to the hospital. They gave me Zofran for the puking, felt so much better I ate for the first time in three days. I did not have the pukey stomach ache flu, but Tamiflu upset my stomach so bad, will not take it again, and I’m not finishing these. I think it’s an unstable drug, works for some, but it’s all about the timing in which you are given and take the drug. It’s also the kind of flu you have, with the severity of the flu this year. Everyone wants a cure, it is better to rest and take the time for your own body to fight it. Take Tylenol if you can tolerate it. We are a society that is even too busy to be sick, so we want to be convinced Tamiflu MIGHT cure us. In my case, it made it worse. I am now taking Zofran and alternating Tylenol and Motrin every five hours. I feel almost human again!"

For Influenza "I saw my doctor and was positive for H1N2. At the same time, my ears had fluid, my throat was raw with some swollen glands, and my back and ribs were hurting pretty bad from two days of coughing. I picked up Azithromycin (Z-Pak) and Oseltamivir Phosphate (Tamiflu) at the pharmacy. I took all three pills (two from the Z-Pak) and the Oseltamivir about 9:00 pm with an English muffin (plain) and a half cup of unsweetened applesauce. Pretty soon afterward, I began to experience severe pain in my stomach that got progressively worse, then the dry heaves began. I contemplated taking myself to the ER but didn't want to get exposed to more sickness. Today, my stomach is so sore and tender that I can't even entertain the idea of taking either pill, not knowing which one or both was the culprit, but I heard Azithromycin is hard on the stomach. FYI, my flu symptoms were a headache (unrelenting) and a croupy cough which started rapidly on 2/9/18. I had already been suffering with a runny nose all winter."

For Influenza "I was diagnosed with influenza A after a rough night of a fever over 101. I took my first dose of Tamiflu around 11 am and had puked by 2 pm. I figured I didn’t eat enough, so I took the second dose at 7:50 pm. I puked again at 10:20. I thought I was in the clear, but that was not the case. I ate two meals before the second dose and still experienced stomach pains for the two hours leading up to when I threw up. I have felt no relief, still running a fever of 101.5."

For Influenza "One hundred and fifty-nine dollars of my hard-earned money wasted! If I had already felt close to death, Tamiflu nearly killed me. Projectile vomited for three hours after taking it! Wasn't even nauseous before taking it! Don't do it!"

For Influenza "The first day I took Tamiflu, I felt a little better. I took it after I ate a soup and a bowl of jello, and I didn't have nausea or vomiting. The second day, after I took the morning capsule (3 hrs after), I felt very good and stayed like that the rest of the day. A couple of hours ago, I took the night capsule after I ate dinner, and I didn't feel any nausea or vomiting. Remember, I ate a big bowl of jello. I really can say Tamiflu is helping me to fight all the severe symptoms of the flu, and I will continue taking it for the next 3 days of the treatment. I will let you know my experience after the 5 days."

For Influenza "I had to take it twice a day, and it tasted horrible! When it was time to take it again, I dreaded it and sat there for a while. It doesn’t matter how many drinks of water you take, Tamiflu stays in your mouth longer than what you would like it to. It makes your food taste terrible, causes hallucinations, vomiting, and nausea. It does help with the flu, but it is very unpleasant."

For Swine Flu "I had no major problems with this medication. My 2-year-old daughter, my husband, and I all contracted swine flu and were all put on Tamiflu. After just 2 doses, my daughter was back to her normal self. Never suffered any side effects. It took 2 or 3 doses for my husband and me to start feeling better, my husband had no problems with it either. The only problem I had was vomiting 30 minutes to an hour after taking the medication. But once I started taking it with a meal, that stopped. We went from feeling absolutely miserable on Sunday to feeling pretty much back to normal on Monday night. It's now Tuesday morning, fever has been gone for 24 hours, weakness has subsided, aches are long gone, and all I have left is a cough. Highly recommend Tamiflu."
