For COVID-19 "I wrote a brief review today after taking just the first dose. I've now taken the second dose, and this stuff is amazing. I tested positive twice (am & pm) about three days ago. Headache, sore throat, fever from 98.4 to 99.9, runny nose, sneezing, full body aches but more so in joints. Very fatigued. I have two major cancers, thus the immunocompromised condition. I cleared the use of this with my oncologist, then had my primary care MD write the Rx. Before I even took the second dose, headache & sore throat were gone, as were some of the aches. Still coughing & blowing my proboscis, but a great improvement in just this short time. I've had to supplement with 25 mg of diphenhydramine and 500 mg of acetaminophen every four hours. Along with my cancers, I have a list of other medical issues, so far no reactions to my meds for those. But I'm having minor side effects with constipation and diarrhea. The absolute worst thing is the aftertaste. Nothing takes it away, from licorice to chili."

For COVID-19 "Started Paxlovid day 3 of the Omicron variant. I had “severe” headache, fever, chills, congestion, cough, SOB, general malaise. After day 2 of treatment, I was significantly better. I went from feeling so bad from the severe headache to feeling so much better. Yes, a very strong sour metallic aftertaste 24/7 until treatment was completed. Gladly, I can tolerate that in exchange for Covid relief symptoms. I would definitely recommend it. I am high risk, cardiac, asthma, etc. Better to have a bad aftertaste than to be sick enough for hospitalization or death."

For COVID-19 "I took this medication 1 day after COVID symptoms started. I've had 3 vaccine shots. My sickness started like an annoying cold, and once I started my doses, I never got worse. I'm on day 2 and doing okay. Slightly congested and barely coughing. The taste in your mouth is awful. I taste it in my phlegm, and it sits in the back of my throat. Cough drops help take it away, but it's bad. Overall, pleased with my recovery time."

For COVID-19 "In my opinion, I do not recommend this medicine to anyone because there are still studies to finish. The government approves it because there is a big business behind it. But in my particular case, after taking it almost two weeks ago, today I am worse. With much more coughing, my chest is congested to the maximum and a high fever. I have more symptoms now than when I started with COVID. DO NOT TAKE THAT MEDICINE, THEY ARE EXPERIMENTING WITH US."

For COVID-19 "A Wednesday I started sneezing and having fatigue, Thursday coughing and nausea and tested negative that night. Friday all of my symptoms were worse and in addition I started fainting, vomiting and developing fevers and at an urgent care I tested positive Friday. Made an appointment the next Monday with my doctor who had me start Paxlovid for my risk. In the first 30 minutes of the first dose I had a fuming taste in my mouth that was coming out of my throat consistently. The taste would fluctuate from bad to worse during the 5-day dosage. I had body aches and diarrhea the first 2 to 3 hours after each dose. I had a headache twice while taking it. All of my other initial Covid symptoms except nausea went away while I was on Paxlovid. I could not eat very well due to loss of taste while taking. Two days after completing the dosage I am slowly tasting again. I started mildly coughing and having congestion after completing. Just knowing the potential of hospitalization it was worth its symptoms to me."

For COVID-19 "Started Covid with 3 vaccinations. Attended an outdoor party that Saturday. 70th birthday party. Left 4-5 hours later. Woke up at 2:30 a.m. with a terrible migraine and vomiting forcefully for about 8 or 9 hours. (Food poisoning?) My nasal passages became blocked. My left ear wasn’t right. I continued to worsen. On Monday, my husband came home from work, having tested positive. I tested and was also positive. We both began texting and calling our friends to spread the word-we were Covid positive. Called the pharmacy to ask about the new pill. They had it, but it needed a prescription. Called the doctor, talked about testing positive and Paxlovid. Luckily, it was available at my pharmacy. Was confused by pharmacy instructions. Realized that AM & PM contained the same medication. My face hurt too. (Was it from vomiting?), ears strange, respiratory symptoms set in with a dry hacking cough. I was confused, unsteady too. I had a bad sore throat. Improved after 5 days. Ear still affected. Stopped Lipitor after 1st dose."

For COVID-19 "I started Paxlovid on the day I was diagnosed, which was within 18 hours of the fever beginning. I took my fifth dose a couple of hours ago. The horrible, chemical-like taste that comes up my throat and back of my nose is almost intolerable. It makes me gag, cough, and feel nauseated. The back and sides of my tongue have the most bitter taste."
