"I take care of my 90-year-old grandfather. I know some of this article can be confusing, so if you have heart issues such as, say, congestive heart failure, and/or diabetes, you should not be taking this supplement. Please consult a doctor before use. My grandfather was eating the candy and couldn't understand why he wasn't feeling well and why his legs were blistering. With the diuretic he is on, and the fact that the mint induces the effects of the diabetic overload the horehound gave him, hopefully he is able to feel better soon. Please be aware of what you're ingesting."

"Used as an analgesic pain reliever in place of commercial preparations (i.e., NSAIDs). Two lozenges of dark horehound several times per day for the past two days have produced amazing results-as well as tasting good."
