For Birth Control "I was prescribed Taytulla for birth control and specifically to help with my really heavy periods. I read the reviews on this website a month before I actually had the courage to start this pill, and I can say that my experience has been a positive one. No mood swings, no headaches, a VERY light 2-day period and clearer skin. I haven’t don’t have any noticeable weight gain, however, I do find myself more hungry more often, but I am good at differentiating between bc hunger and actual hunger. If you were prescribed this medication, please don’t let the other reviews scare you! Each birth control is different for everyone, so give it a go!"

For Birth Control "I got switched to this pill from an extended cycle pill when I visited a new doctor. I have tried every other pill, and the extended cycle pill was really the only one that worked for me, and I informed my doctor of this. He recommended for me to try this brand, so I did. I'm on my second week of this pill, and no joke, I got 40 new pimples from starting this pill! My skin has never EVER been this bad, and my whole forehead is covered in breakouts. I don't even want to leave the house with how bad my skin is, and I've gained 10 pounds too. I have zero sex drive now too. I had beautiful skin while on my other pill, and I'm going back to it and not even going to finish the pack. I can't do another day of migraines."

For Birth Control "I was afraid to go on this medication after reading the side effects, but I’m glad I did. I have cystic acne, and within the first months, I started seeing results that my acne was improving. I still get some pimples, but they are smaller and don’t hurt as bad. My period was only 3 days long with little to no cramps, which is amazing! Before, because I was getting my period for 8 days, I would cry myself to sleep because of the pain. Birth control pills affect everyone differently, but you should definitely give this pill a try for at least 3 months. I have had no weight gain or change in appetite with this pill. Very happy so far!"

For Birth Control "Taytulla had some great physical benefits in that it made my skin nice and cleared up my breakouts. It also made my boobs grow, and I gained a little weight. However, it made my depression worse and drastically decreased my libido. Ever since I started taking Taytulla, I have had absolutely no sex drive whatsoever. Needless to say, I am switching to a different BC pill."

For Birth Control "My OB prescribed me this BC. I just had gives birth two months ago, and it was okay for the first week and a half. Then I noticed I was gaining weight, craving different foods. Then I started having headaches that got progressively worse, turning into migraines. Then I started bleeding, my period wasn't even supposed to start yet, and I'm still bleeding very heavily. Super tampons barely work. I do not recommend this BC, although everyone's body is different."

For Birth Control "I really like this pill a lot! The only con is that I gained ten pounds in two months from it and have been eating the same amount of food. I have no PMS and only three days of a period with just one or two days of moderate cramps. Sometimes I get nauseous when I get my period with Taytulla, but that might not be accurate because I have anxiety. But overall, a good pill!"

For Birth Control "I have been on Taytulla for a little over a year now. I initially was introduced to Taytulla due to having trouble going to the bathroom. My period is either very light or I'll go a month or two without any bleeding or period symptoms. The only thing I have noticed a significant change in my body is my weight gain. Since on Taytulla, I have gained 30 pounds, because of this, I'm considering changing to a different brand. I exercise 3-5 times a week at the gym. I count my macros and have a fairly healthy diet regimen."

For Birth Control "I started taking Taytulla in December. I’ve dealt with cystic acne for over five years and tried various brands of birth control with no relief until now. No cystic acne, no mood swings, no depression. My period is way lighter (I could practically get away with using a panty liner instead of tampons) and only lasts a few days. In the past, I always had a miserably heavy flow with terrible cramping and back pain. Now for the cons - I have gained 10 lbs in the five months I’ve been on Taytulla with no change in my diet or exercise. Also, I’ll get a migraine right before my period, which I’ve never dealt with before. So overall, more pros than cons... Pick your battles, right?"

For Birth Control "I was previously on Orsythia, which I took for about four months, but I continued to have a lot of breakthrough bleeding. My doctor prescribed to me Taytulla, which I have been on for three months. My mood swings have been pretty up and down, I have become very angry about small things (which I never had before). My period is not as long as before because of the four inactive pills, which is the only good part I have had with this pill. Since taking Taytulla, I have gained so much weight! I have been keeping the same diet and have been working out the same as I have always had, but I have gained about 10 pounds while taking this drug. I am now switching to another pill because this one has not been working for me."

For Birth Control "I have been on Taytulla for about 3 1/2 years now, and I have not had any side effects other than my period going away and my breasts being a little tender. I was on the brand name for 1-2 years, and then insurance switched me to generic. I had normal to light periods before taking this, but now it is gone completely, which is awesome. Having no period for this long freaked me out a little, but my doctor said it is normal, and I am a healthy 20-year-old. This is the first BC I have been on, and I have 0 complaints. I have not noticed any weight gain or mood changes over these past few years, and I have gotten used to not having a period! Also, not preggo, which is nice! I went on Accutane and noticed light spotting for a day or two each month, but recently got off and haven't had a period since. Every birth control affects people in different ways, so I would keep an open mind! This has been life changing for me."

For Birth Control "I took this medication as my first birth control pill ever. When talking to my doctor, I told her that my two biggest concerns are weight gain and making my acne worse. I did end up gaining some weight on this pill, but not too much. It made my acne bad. I ended up stopping it after a month and a half because it was so bad."

For Birth Control "Personally, I like this birth control. I was taking Tri-Sprintec previously, and I always felt very up and down. Once I got to week 3 of those pills, I would feel miserable until I started my new pack. Not the case with Taytulla. I am experiencing some light breakthrough bleeding from the switch, but besides that, I feel much better in a general sense. No more period headaches, no more extreme fatigue during my period, no more starving for food in weeks 3 and 4. Others are mentioning weight gain, which wasn't the case for me. If anything, I have lost a little weight because I feel more 'level' on this pill. I'm going to keep taking my sample packs and see how it works out. Thus far, I feel it has worked for me, and I'm really happy about the switch."

For Birth Control "I personally think everyone is different with birth control. Looking at these reviews shouldn't discourage someone from taking this pill! My personal experience was odd. I started it, and I had a great experience, basically no period and no mood swings! It was awesome. Now, 2 months later, I have gained 10 lbs, and I can barely eat a meal because I get so bloated. I would recommend this to people who have heavy, unbearable periods, and gaining a few pounds isn't an issue for you, otherwise, stay away!"

For Birth Control "Taytulla was an awful experience for me. I gained 10 pounds and was never able to get it off. Horrible and painful acne, it made me super depressed and tender breasts. Other than that, it did its job making my period shorter, but overall would NOT recommend."

For Birth Control "I love this birth control. I’m almost done with my first pack, and I’m loving it! I was worried about weight gain, mood swings, acne, etc. But truthfully, it’s been great! I do realize that my appetite has been through the roof. I’m always so hungry, kind of bad, but self-control, you know. Also, I did notice some small pimples on my face, but it’s only because I’m close to my cycle. But overall, it’s pretty amazing!"

For Birth Control "Wow, this BC is the worst ever that I have been on. After having a final ligation, I experienced ovarian cysts that caused mid-cycle pain, so my obgyn gave me Taytulla. From day 3-8, I have been bloated, extremely nauseous, gained 4 lbs, and lost hair. I decided to stop after day 8, I was also spotting all 8 days. I don’t recommend this for anyone, as my experience was horrific."

For Birth Control "This medicine makes me feel horrible. I get horrible depression and anxiety, sometimes I cry for no reason. Mood swings are horrible and are affecting my relationship. I don’t want to do anything other than be in bed and cry. Cramps are horrible, I get really bad migraines and loss of appetite. For me, it's been the worst experience ever. I gained some weight, I just feel worthless."

For Birth Control "Before I was on the Nexplanon implantation birth control for 8 months and honestly say that was the worst. I gained so much weight (over 20 lbs), mood swings and depression, and don't get me started on my pimples on my chin! After I got the guts to get it out of me, I told my doctor all my symptoms, and she recommended Taytulla, and so far, so good! I’m happier, and I haven’t had a period yet, and my skin is looking good. The only downside I gotta say is I feel a little nauseous every time I eat. But hopefully this birth control keeps up the good results, I might stick to it since it’s only been 2 weeks using this method!"

For Birth Control "I'm 19 and was on Taytulla for about 6 months. I've already switched pills 3 times and decided to wait this one out and see if the side effects would get better, and they didn't. The weight gain wasn't horrible, but my mood swings were ruining relationships with those around me. The number one reason why I hated this pill was the amount of acne it caused. I've always had a few zits here and there and some cystic on my chin. I broke out on my cheeks and forehead, and the scars are irreversible now. I didn't want to leave my house without makeup on. Don't recommend this to ANYONE."

For Birth Control "I am currently almost through my second pack of Taytulla. The first pack was a nightmare. I bled heavily for more than half of the month. The cramping was awful, and I became extremely depressed. I was told to stay on the pill another month until my hormones balanced out. While the bleeding stopped, my mood is very low, and my anxiety is very high. I also have gained 4 1/2 pounds. My breasts are extremely tender, and I have developed nightly migraines. This will be my last pack of these pills."

For Birth Control "Absolutely loved this birth control, Taytulla. I’m so sad my insurance no longer covers this medication. The first two packs I did have spotting, anxiety, and weight gain, but after that I was back to normal with a healthier diet. I definitely recommend and I hope I can get back on this one ASAP."

For Birth Control "My doctor and I decided to switch me over to Taytulla from my other lower dose pill in hopes of lessening my periods as they were still heavy after being on the other pill for 7 months. I am a runner, so this part was pretty important to me, and I was not too worried when my dosage of estrogen was increased. I started this pill in March, and with no change in diet and exercise, I went from 105 lbs to 125 by July. This was extremely hard on my mental health, as I did not know what I was doing wrong, as I was still running significantly every day and eating considerably healthy. After switching to a different pill finally in August, it is January now, and I have since lost all of the weight off, with again, doing nothing different with my diet and exercise. Would not recommend."

For Birth Control "So far I haven't experienced anything major. For the first 2 weeks, the nausea was annoying and the tenderness of the breast, nothing unbearable though. Didn't experience any acne other than 1 or 2. I have gained a few pounds, so far Taytulla is great!"

For Birth Control "If I could rate this a 0, I would. My insurance stopped covering Kaitlib, and I was going to have to pay $90/month. I had wanted to try something similar that my insurance would cover. I’ve been on this since January, and I wish I had never started. I’ve gained 30 lbs since January. I retain water like crazy. I’m severely depressed and have no reason to be. I have horrible anxiety to the point of paranoia. I get random pains in my chest and abdomen. I constantly feel like I’m in a fog to the point I can’t focus at work, and people are noticing. I have horrible nightmares that I wake up from, and horrible migraines. This medicine has made me a shell of myself the last 7 months, and I’ve done all that I could to try to hide it from people, but it’s just not working anymore. I’m going to bite the bullet and pay out of pocket for the Kaitlib because I can’t go on like this anymore. On Kaitlib, I at least felt normal, would only get occasional headaches, and somehow managed to drop 70 pounds."
