For Birth Control "I’ve been on this pill, Taytulla, for 1 1/2 months. After 2 weeks, acne was becoming present. The acne started to get so bad that I didn’t want to leave the house. I started noticing I was tired all the time, my mood swings were frequent, I wasn’t myself. I missed my period entirely, which I was told by my doctor may happen. Two days ago, I was feeling light-headed, I got hot flashes, I didn’t have an appetite, and I felt extreme anxiety for no reason. I was terrified because I didn’t know what was happening to me. I had been on another birth control for 14 years (no issues) up until I had a baby two years ago, then I got on this. Worst decision. I stopped taking this halfway through the pill pack. The side effects are horrible. Based on my experience and these reviews, I would never recommend."

For Birth Control "I took Taytulla for around 8 months and honestly have no idea how I did it for that long. I went from Minastrin to Taytulla due to insurance issues and had the worst transition. I had severe depression, my anxiety was worse than it already is to the point where I would cry all the time, I had insane mood swings, I was always angry, headaches, acne, which I have never had in my life, and I gained weight. The depression was so bad to the point where I was suicidal. After that, I switched back to Minastrin and my life was so much better. Do not take this!!"

For Birth Control "I have never been on birth control and was always kind of opposed to it, given the horror stories of side effects I had heard of. However, my gyno talked me into trying Taytulla. I was so nervous to try it, especially after reading some of these reviews, but honestly, I am so glad I did. I just finished the first month, and so far the only side effect I've noticed is an increase in appetite. That's it! No nausea, mood changes, headaches, or anything like that. There was one day with some random, very minimal spotting. Right now I'm on my first period since starting Taytulla, and it is drastically a lighter flow, which is really nice. Another perk I've noticed is clearer skin. It has only been one month, so I really hope things continue this way and no worse side effects present themselves. Based on my experience so far, I would definitely recommend it, but it seems it's different for everyone."

For Birth Control "Update: I previously wrote a review for Taytulla that I thought was befitting at the time. So fast forward, I’m 6 months in and I swear I’m starting to have nausea, vomiting, headaches, mood swings, no sex drive whatsoever, and I’ve gained 17 pounds. Now the funny thing about the weight gain is that I follow a strict diet, work out 4 times a week, and walk on average 12 miles a day on my job. I constantly feel bloated, and I’m not doing anything different than I was when I first started them. My doctor said it’s water weight and retention, but carrying around the extra weight is making me feel bad physically, as well as being a mental challenge when I feel like I’m working out and watching what I eat is all in vain. Just know that these symptoms can hit you at any time."

For Birth Control "I have been on Taytulla for 2 years now to control endometriosis. It is a great alternative to the hysterectomy that several doctors have recommended. I've had light spotting maybe 3 times in 2 years, with 2 having been these last 2 months. I see several complaints about them causing mood swings. It's a hormone. It will do that. They don't work if you don't take them regularly, which means the same time every day. Nothing is a miracle drug. If it doesn't work for you, talk to your doctor and try something else. There are far cheaper medications than this one. However, I am happy with this product. It's pretty much the same outcome as the depo shot, and this doesn't hurt my bone mass."

For Birth Control "On Taytulla for 3 years and stopped 1.5 months ago. Here were the side effects I was having: little to no period, gained 20 pounds in just 1 year with a total of 40 pounds to date, frequent migraines, constipation, mood swings, agitation. In the 1.5 months that I’ve been off of Taytulla, I have fewer migraines/headaches, have more frequent bowel movements, and my mood is a little more stable. My weight hasn’t changed yet, but I do see a difference in the way I look and feel. Why didn’t I stop sooner? I honestly didn’t put two and two together. I didn’t keep track of the side effects. At the time, not many reviews on this product were out. Everyone is different."

For Birth Control "I took Taytulla at the advice of my gyn because of my heavy and painful periods, which were awful. After having a D and C, and a year later, a uterine biopsy, I thought I should start something to help with the low progesterone. Mirena was not an option because I didn’t want that in my body. For the first five days, I had no issues with Taytulla, but the bleeding then continued for 14 days, but not heavy like my old periods. Then I noticed I couldn’t sleep well, my anxiety is high, and I’m cranky and moody. My heart feels like it’s going to come out of my chest and has been occurring since after the first week of taking this. I also have cramps with it. I am not going to continue taking this stuff. The side effects are dangerous and life-threatening. I don’t know what my options are, but I’ll finish this pack and call my doctor today for something else or nothing at all."

For Birth Control "My daughter is 31 and started on Taytulla 6 months ago. Two weeks ago she experienced right side numbness while taking a shower before work. She was rushed to the hospital at 6:15 a.m. with right side paralysis and yellowing whites of her eyes. By 8:30 a.m. they came to us with her CT results. She had a 3 cm tumor on the motor skills portion of her brain, which all the doctors here in Tennessee said was inoperable. The only change in her medications and environmental factors was the introduction of Taytulla. Leading up to her diagnosis, she suffered terrible mood swings, anxiety attacks, and night sweats. After further investigation of this medication, you can see that 3.3 out of 100,000 developed some type of liver tumor. The greed in this country has made it acceptable to give a 3.3 a death sentence if it works for 99,997 women. This is unacceptable in my book! Shame on you!!!"

For Birth Control "Most people leave reviews only if something is bad, so I figured I'd come to leave a positive review so fewer people are scared to try this birth control. I have only had positive experiences with this BC. I never had bad cramps or long periods before I took the pill, and this pill has kept it that way. I haven't gained weight, I haven't gotten more acne, and my mood hasn't changed. This pill works great for me."

For Birth Control "I was given Taytulla after using Minastrin 24 for a year (which worked great). After taking it for a few months, my anxiety (which I had before taking it but was under control) became so much worse, and I began having panic attacks every day, and I actually became depressed despite having no history of it. These issues, along with extreme mood swings/irritability, frequent headaches, fatigue, and lack of motivation to do anything (despite being a motivated person before), caused me to switch back to Minastrin, even though I had to pay more because my insurance doesn't cover it. To me, paying extra is way better than having to go on this pill again, which I would not recommend to anyone, especially those who have anxiety/depression to begin with."

For Birth Control "So the last month and a half, I have had anxiety and mood swings through the dang roof. My poor fiancé has been having it so rough. I thought something was seriously wrong with me, and I was about to call my family doctor to schedule an appointment (anxiety is normal for me, but not at this level by far). Everything and everyone makes me soooo mad and emotional. I’m not normally a cow! I’m a happy person! Reading these comments and putting two and two together is such a relief because I’m not going crazy! I’m going to talk to my OB very soon. Good luck, ladies."

For Birth Control "Taytulla is my first birth control pill that I’ve used. The first day I took it, I became VERY nauseated. The first two weeks were fine, my skin got a little better, not a lot of side effects. But then I started randomly bleeding, and it kept getting heavier and heavier. I have now been heavily bleeding for 5 days straight and there’s no sign that it’s going to stop. The cramps that go along with it have been terrible and stopped me from being able to keep up with my usual gym routine. This pill also has made me cry nearly every day this week, and I’m not usually an emotional person like that. This is possibly one of the worst decisions I have made to take it, and if I could give 0 stars, I would. Absolutely awful side effects!"

For Birth Control "I got put on this pill because Minastrin took away its discount card and gave it to Taytulla. I gave it four months, and it was horrible. I know that all pills have side effects, and I'm pretty good about putting up with whatever they are. But this has been the worst. The mood swings, depression, and fatigue are intense. I'm a generally happy person, very motivated, and have no history of depression. This pill made me want to give up on life. I'm going back to Minastrin and paying full price just to be able to be back to somewhat normal."

For Birth Control "At first, I was pretty hesitant to try Taytulla after all the horrific reviews I read. But I figured I would give it a shot. I tried Seasonique for over a year, I would get a lot of clotting while on that pill and gained about 25 pounds. I was also getting a lot of hormonal acne, so I decided to switch to Trinessa. Five months of Trinessa, my period was all out of whack, my acne was worsening, and I had terrible mood swings, which was not ideal. I switched to Taytulla after two months of this new birth control, my first period was very light, no headaches, my coworkers say I'm happier, and no cramps. I feel everyone's body is different, so hopefully, others don't think all the bad reviews will happen to them and that they try for themselves. Also, my insurance covered it at 100%."

For Birth Control "I have been on Taytulla for 3 months and have had my period since I started taking the pill. (That’s a fourth of the year!) I have had cramps the entire time as well. About 2 years ago I was on Taytulla and had no problems up until the last month of taking it. I had terrible mood swings and awful cramps. So my doctor recommended I try it again and have had awful results. I do not recommend this form of birth control."

For Birth Control "I started taking this birth control around a month and a half ago. I'm also in a relationship, and ever since I've started taking it, I have been almost constantly overthinking everything, having anxiety, being extremely sad and upset, and crying for no reason. This pill has also started to give me acne again. With all of these side effects (the mood swings being the WORST and most prevalent), I need to stop taking it. I am typically a very, very happy and outgoing girl, but ever since taking this, I have been a hormonal mess. I don't want this birth control to be the reason I am overly emotional with my boyfriend and constantly creating problems that aren't there. Would not recommend."

For Birth Control "This is the worst birth control I have ever used. I used Taytulla for 5 months. At first, my skin cleared up, my periods were light, and my hormones were under control. Then I had migraines, constant headaches, nausea, and my hormones changed. I had really dark thoughts, depression, anxiety, and severe mood swings. Sex drive went way down. Then really painful sex. I did research on Taytulla and saw similar experiences. After 5 months of taking it, I stopped, and my symptoms improved days after stopping. Except painful sex. I went to my OB/GYN and was diagnosed with lichen sclerosus. This is an autoimmune disease that can be triggered later in life and can be triggered by high levels of hormones. There is no cure and only treatments that can be used to help reduce the pain while having sex. DO NOT USE Taytulla. Get your partner to use condoms. Women shouldn’t deal with this. My husband now wears condoms, and I will never use birth control ever again in my life."

For Birth Control "I am 39 years old and was put on Taytulla by my OB/GYN to regulate my cycle and stop breakthrough bleeding. I have had breakthrough bleeding for years with no answers. I've been taking Taytulla for 2 weeks now and stopped just two days ago because of unbearable lower abdomen cramping. The cramping and bleeding have been so severe that I can't even function with my regular day activities. I'm bleeding so severely with lots and lots of clots. I've never bled this much in my entire life where I'm having to change a pad every hour on the hour. Tampons can't even be used, I'm having to wear super huge pads for the heavy flow that feel like a diaper. I've developed acne in the past few days on my face. My mood has me down and depressed, and I just can't shake out of it. It's only been two days since I stopped Taytulla, and I have not noticed any change yet. I hope I start to feel better soon as this can't be life!"

For Birth Control "After being on Loestrin for 10 years, my OB switched me to Taytulla in July, and it’s now mid-October, and I have gained 20 pounds on a near-perfect diet, with weight lifting and cardio 5-6 days a week, with no changes to lifestyle except this awful pill. I’d rather have a period every 2 weeks than feel like this. Also, I have seen changes in my mood and acne, which I haven’t had since I took Accutane 6 years ago. 10 packs of Taytulla are now in the garbage where it belongs."

For Birth Control "I just finished my fourth pack. I am pleased with the product, and like most, was nervous because of the reviews. The first month was mood swing after mood swing and some nausea, but after that hump I’ve been smooth sailing. I have bleeding for 2-3 days, which is nice compared to the long 7 days without it and the normal period before and during symptoms. The only thing that hurts is the price. My insurance covers about 75%, so it’s still pretty expensive. I have had no weight gain or crazy acne. I will take this pill as long as I can afford it."

For Birth Control "Been on this birth control for about five months. Although the pill completely stopped my periods, I’ve had uncontrollable mood swings, many panic attacks, paranoia, and signs of depression. Also worsened my cramping and made me lose 10 lbs (which I have issues with gaining weight). Thinking about stopping the pill completely to see if I’ll go back to being myself. DO NOT take this pill if you have an issue with anxiety or depression!!"

For Birth Control "I've been taking Taytulla for 4 months now, and from day one it has been great for me. I never had any nausea, but I did notice that I was a little more emotional than usual during the first week or two that I started taking it, but after that everything was perfectly fine. My breasts did increase in size, and my period got much lighter to where I would only spot for one day. Now, I do not have a period at all, which I love. In my opinion, this is a great birth control, and I've recommended it to multiple people who ended up loving it as well. It is all based on your body and how it reacts with the medication. I'm thankful it worked out great for me!"

For Birth Control "I’ve been on this birth control for a month this week, and I thought I liked it up until these last few days. I’ve noticed a lot of mood swings, increased anxiety, and this little part of me wants to say depression, but I’m not sure if my increased anxiety is making it worse for me. Enough for me to bring it up to my primary care doctor. For the past few days, I’ve been having anxiety about having depression, as if I’m scared to become depressed, and I don’t like it AT ALL. I originally started this birth control because I’ve had irregular periods since I had my baby a year and a half ago, but unfortunately it’s a huge no for me."

For Birth Control "I have two teenage daughters on Taytulla, and they both really like it. No issues other than the initial adjustment of some spotting with the first pack, maybe a little more emotional for the first three packs, but nothing more than typical PMS. As a mom, I read all these reviews and got a little freaked out. I wanted people to know that this pill seems to work for them, and they will continue to take."
