For Birth Control "I didn't gain weight or have any mood issues while on Taytulla. I took it for 5 months. However, during that time, my hair started falling out (lost about 30% of it!) and my nails started splitting. Also, at first, I'd have some breakthrough bleeding, maybe once every couple of weeks. Then it became a daily thing-for like 6 weeks. Finally thought it might be the pills and went to my doctor. Sure enough, I switched to one with a different progesterone, and all the problems started to go away within a month (still waiting for my hair to grow back, but it stopped falling out!). Also, my insurance didn't cover it, and even with the discount card from the drug manufacturer, it was ridiculously expensive."

For Birth Control "I took Taytulla at the advice of my gyn because of my heavy and painful periods, which were awful. After having a D and C, and a year later, a uterine biopsy, I thought I should start something to help with the low progesterone. Mirena was not an option because I didn’t want that in my body. For the first five days, I had no issues with Taytulla, but the bleeding then continued for 14 days, but not heavy like my old periods. Then I noticed I couldn’t sleep well, my anxiety is high, and I’m cranky and moody. My heart feels like it’s going to come out of my chest and has been occurring since after the first week of taking this. I also have cramps with it. I am not going to continue taking this stuff. The side effects are dangerous and life-threatening. I don’t know what my options are, but I’ll finish this pack and call my doctor today for something else or nothing at all."

For Birth Control "The first packet I went through required quite the adjustment. I bled the entire first month I was on this pill (probably because I was suffering from amenorrhea for almost 8 months), and I got some acne (I've never struggled with acne before, but this wasn't too serious). The bleeding/spotting stopped immediately when I began my second packet of Taytulla. The acne is still there, but it's not bad. I've also felt much more like myself emotionally since beginning this pill. When I go long periods of time without menstruating, I start becoming depressed and unmotivated. This pill has been great for solving several of my hormonal imbalances, and I plan on sticking with it."

For Birth Control "Taytulla is my first birth control pill that I’ve used. The first day I took it, I became VERY nauseated. The first two weeks were fine, my skin got a little better, not a lot of side effects. But then I started randomly bleeding, and it kept getting heavier and heavier. I have now been heavily bleeding for 5 days straight and there’s no sign that it’s going to stop. The cramps that go along with it have been terrible and stopped me from being able to keep up with my usual gym routine. This pill also has made me cry nearly every day this week, and I’m not usually an emotional person like that. This is possibly one of the worst decisions I have made to take it, and if I could give 0 stars, I would. Absolutely awful side effects!"

For Birth Control "Went on Taytulla to help with very heavy bleeding. I’ve stopped my 3rd packet of Taytulla today. I looked so big in the pictures from one of my best friend's weddings. Very depressing after torturing myself with wedding prep... All my life, I’ve enjoyed working out, but since starting Taytulla, I haven’t. While Taytulla cleared up my mild acne and made my period light, it is not worth it for me to continue on this. Light bleeding for half the month, constantly feeling hungry, limiting diet to veggies to try to unsuccessfully fit into clothes, depression, no longer enjoying lifelong activities = living in a hideous state of mind... Taytulla was not right for me. Everyone’s different..."

For Birth Control "DON'T TAKE THIS BIRTH CONTROL!! I started taking Taytulla about one month ago. About a week in, all the symptoms and side effects started to show up. I was extremely nauseous, my depression and anxiety went through the roof and made me feel absolutely terrible. I was having crying episodes and felt anxious about life and relationships. I also have been bleeding for 8+ days with really bad abdominal cramps. I just recently stopped taking it yesterday. My anxiety and depression are still present, my gyno said it could take a month for my hormones to regulate. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND TO ANYONE."

For Birth Control "I’ve spent so much money on pregnancy tests because this birth control makes me feel pregnant, weight gain, boobs getting bigger, nauseous, body cramps, migraines, and I have very light bleeding for only a few days a month. It scares me!"

For Birth Control "After reading some pretty bad reviews on here, I was pretty hesitant to try this, but after being on Mibelas for about two years, I started having stomach pain and breakthrough bleeding, so my doctor prescribed this. Only been on it for a month, but I feel great!! Had a little cramping and spotting in between periods, but nothing crazy. Everyone is different when it comes to birth control, so don’t let negative reviews stop you from trying it! It also takes your body about three months to really adjust to the hormones anyway. Good luck out there!"

For Birth Control "I've been on Taytulla for 3 months now after my pharmacy told me Minastrin 24 is being discontinued. I had a smooth transition from Minastrin to Taytulla, meaning no breakthrough bleeding, but my actual periods have been a lot heavier and my cramps a lot worse on Taytulla. In addition, I've experienced periodic breast tenderness and am sometimes overly sensitive. I have also gained five pounds after starting this pill (105 lbs to 110 lbs). I'm sure no one else can notice the change in weight, but I certainly do when my shorts no longer fit me. I am going to give it one more month and then will consider switching to another generic of Minastrin."

For Birth Control "Stay away! Save yourself. After taking this BC, I began to experience depression and anxiety, then I began to bleed for 10+ days. This then caused me to stress even more because bleeding for a month isn’t enjoyable, so my mood decreased even more. Due to this BC, I’ve had to be prescribed anxiety and depression meds and was referred to a counselor. I’d honestly rather be pregnant than deal with constant bleeding and mental health issues."

For Birth Control "I am 39 years old and was put on Taytulla by my OB/GYN to regulate my cycle and stop breakthrough bleeding. I have had breakthrough bleeding for years with no answers. I've been taking Taytulla for 2 weeks now and stopped just two days ago because of unbearable lower abdomen cramping. The cramping and bleeding have been so severe that I can't even function with my regular day activities. I'm bleeding so severely with lots and lots of clots. I've never bled this much in my entire life where I'm having to change a pad every hour on the hour. Tampons can't even be used, I'm having to wear super huge pads for the heavy flow that feel like a diaper. I've developed acne in the past few days on my face. My mood has me down and depressed, and I just can't shake out of it. It's only been two days since I stopped Taytulla, and I have not noticed any change yet. I hope I start to feel better soon as this can't be life!"

For Birth Control "I started taking Taytulla 2 weeks ago to help prevent more ovarian cysts from popping up. There is not one thing I've liked about this pill. I get terrible headaches and nausea almost constantly, I've broken out in acne all over my face. I have been suffering with terrible depression, anxiety, lack of interest in anything, and fatigue. I forgot to take it one night, and the next morning I woke up with super heavy bleeding. I know the body will react when starting any new medicine, but this is miserable. Would not recommend, ladies!"

For Birth Control "I’ve had my fair share of experiences with birth control, from the migraines every day to bleeding for weeks at a time to anxiety to depression. Taytulla was my last try at it, and I must say I’m pleasantly surprised. I was on a generic of the same dosage and had a list of issues, none of which I have now with this birth control! On Taytulla, I have no anxiety, no migraines, no depression. I had mild spotting getting used to it, but now everything is fine, my horrible periods are now only about 4 days. I will say that cramping is still really bad, but way lighter! I love this birth control-life saver!"

For Birth Control "I had been taking Taytulla for almost 2 years. Since previous birth control had given me lots of stomach problems, Taytulla seemed to lessen them, although they were still there. I take Taytulla consistently so I do not get a period, this was recommended by my doctor and is completely safe. However, within the past 6 months, my sex drive has not only been low, but I have experienced extreme pain with sex. Come to find out, the pill was not fully stopping my periods correctly and actually caused me to grow a few cysts that have had complications. Ever since discovering this and really looking into the past few months, I have realized the pill has done nothing but make my life miserable. I have lost hair, had 13-day long breakthrough bleeding, and my depression and anxiety have been the worst it has ever been. Each pill has different effects for everyone, but this was my experience, and after the recent recall of this product, I do not feel it has worked properly."

For Birth Control "Although I did experience some rough spots during the first 3 months (some bleeding, anxiety, and paranoia, etc.), it’s actually leveled itself out completely! I’ve been on it for about 6 months now, and it feels like I’m not even taking a birth control pill, which is great! Light periods, little to no cramping, no babies. It worked well for me!"

For Birth Control "I got one Depo shot, and it made me bleed for over a year. Also made my periods 20 days long when I finally started having them again, and they were just all out of whack. My doctor prescribed me this to see if it helped, and it helped so much. But honestly, it’s not even worth it for how it makes you feel. My depression is awful, and I honestly just don’t even feel like myself anymore. My fiancé even tells me I “changed.” I’m gonna stop taking it. I can’t take feeling like this anymore."

For Birth Control "This medication changed me inside and out. I experienced nausea, bleeding, acne, anxiety, depression, irritability, loss of focus, and felt like I was losing it. The chemical hormonal imbalance changed my demeanor completely. I began to have panic attacks and called my doctor. I had a consult, and the prescription was changed right away. I would not recommend this drug to anyone due to the side effects that I personally experienced, as I would not want another to endure the same. One month was enough, I began to mellow out but decided against staying on it due to the severity of the side effects. It took another two weeks to feel normal again."

For Birth Control "When I started taking this medication, my period got crazy heavy to the point I almost passed out. I bled through a tampon and thick panties! That period only lasted three days, but then I started another period a week later. I knew this was normal when you start birth control, so I wasn't too worried. I got a period every other week for three months, and it had started affecting my mood during the periods (this wouldn't be bad if it weren't literally every other week). The depression is finally what got to me, and I have switched pills. We shall see what happens next."

For Birth Control "I have been on Taytulla for about a month and a half now. This is the first type of BC I have ever tried. Since starting, my periods have stopped with some breakthrough bleeding in the first month and now just some light spotting. After reading these reviews, I understand why I have been so emotional. I am known for my thick skin, but after starting this pill, I noticed I would become so upset, almost to the point of crying, which is NOT me. Also, I just had my first anxiety attack EVER. I have never struggled with depression or anxiety in the past, but now I feel in a constant slump, which scares me. My once clear skin is now in a terrible breakout. I understand that I still need to give time for my hormone levels to balance, but is this normal? Especially a 'mild' BC like my gyno described it as? I feel like a pimpled face hormonal freak, which is making me crazy. I am planning to finish out my sample pack. Set an appointment this week with my gyno to hopefully resolve this issue..."

For Birth Control "I'm 26 years old and have been on birth control pills since I was 16. I have never had children and weigh 115 lbs. I had always taken a low hormone pill previously and had no notable side effects on or off the pill. For the past 4 months, I've been on Taytulla, and it's a nightmare. My PMS symptoms are out of control. I cry all the time now, especially a week or two before my period, I will have multiple full-scale, sobbing episodes. This is not normal for me at all. My nipples are so sore they can't be touched almost all month. I spot in between my periods now. I have bled heavily (almost like my period starting) after pretty mild and well-lubricated sex. I realized this month that Taytulla is a really high dose of estrogen/estradiol (1 mg), and my old birth control had 0.035 mg! That is a HUGE difference in estrogen. Also, it costs $170 per month without insurance! I'm getting off it next week when my cycle ends. Good riddance."

For Birth Control "First birth control I've ever been on, and it has been great to me. Skin is the clearest it has ever been, not pregnant, and weight gain has been in the right places. Started off rocky with bleeding and being more sensitive. But the pros outweigh the cons! Don't be scared to give it a try."

For Birth Control "At first, this was great, but I would have some breakthrough bleeding. Fast forward to a year later, and I've had three periods in a month. I get very emotional, and I am constantly cramping, and I never did before I started this pill. I would not recommend."

For Birth Control "Worst pill ever. Taken it for the past 5 months - causes weight gain and depression, but the worst thing is that I am bleeding CONSTANTLY. I will literally bleed 22 days of the month and spot for another 6. I'm about ready to tear my uterus out."

For Birth Control "I used to take an oral contraceptive years ago but went to the IUD after having my child. When I had the IUD removed, I was offered Taytulla. I waited until I had my first cycle to start taking it. It was fine for the first few days, but then I bled for the rest of the first pack. I started the second pack as scheduled. I got through 2 weeks with zero bleeding and then was 37 minutes late taking it and started to bleed again the next day. On top of that, I have been very short-tempered and irritable more often than not, which is not my personality at all. Since I was bleeding anyhow, I decided to discontinue using it. I would not recommend this to anyone."

For Birth Control "Started taking this pill, Taytulla, because it was a lower dose than my normal birth control. In the beginning, I had started bleeding for a couple of weeks. It was okay, I could deal with it. Then after a while, I started getting yeast infections. Back to back. As soon as I finished clearing up one yeast infection, I got another one right after. The only thing I had put into my body was the pill. I felt like I was going crazy. I would stay up all night, unable to sleep due to random anxiety building up in me. As soon as I stopped taking Taytulla, all these problems completely ceased. I would not recommend Taytulla to anyone. Take your chances."
