For Birth Control "I’ve been on this pill, Taytulla, for 1 1/2 months. After 2 weeks, acne was becoming present. The acne started to get so bad that I didn’t want to leave the house. I started noticing I was tired all the time, my mood swings were frequent, I wasn’t myself. I missed my period entirely, which I was told by my doctor may happen. Two days ago, I was feeling light-headed, I got hot flashes, I didn’t have an appetite, and I felt extreme anxiety for no reason. I was terrified because I didn’t know what was happening to me. I had been on another birth control for 14 years (no issues) up until I had a baby two years ago, then I got on this. Worst decision. I stopped taking this halfway through the pill pack. The side effects are horrible. Based on my experience and these reviews, I would never recommend."

For Birth Control "Started taking this pill, Taytulla, because it was a lower dose than my normal birth control. In the beginning, I had started bleeding for a couple of weeks. It was okay, I could deal with it. Then after a while, I started getting yeast infections. Back to back. As soon as I finished clearing up one yeast infection, I got another one right after. The only thing I had put into my body was the pill. I felt like I was going crazy. I would stay up all night, unable to sleep due to random anxiety building up in me. As soon as I stopped taking Taytulla, all these problems completely ceased. I would not recommend Taytulla to anyone. Take your chances."

For Birth Control "I took Taytulla for around 8 months and honestly have no idea how I did it for that long. I went from Minastrin to Taytulla due to insurance issues and had the worst transition. I had severe depression, my anxiety was worse than it already is to the point where I would cry all the time, I had insane mood swings, I was always angry, headaches, acne, which I have never had in my life, and I gained weight. The depression was so bad to the point where I was suicidal. After that, I switched back to Minastrin and my life was so much better. Do not take this!!"

For Birth Control "I've been taking the Taytulla pill for about four months now, and my anxiety is unbearable. I did not realize it was related to this birth control until reading all the comments about anxiety. I feel as if I can't breathe and my heart will explode. My period on the pill is lighter, but it is not worth it."

For Birth Control "I’ve been on this BC for 11 months. After reading the reviews, I was SUPER hesitant to take this pill (my 1st birth control), but I decided to try it anyway. I lost weight, my skin is mostly cleared up, and my periods are short and barely there! I have not experienced any depression, anxiety, or anything negative. I’m 22, moderately active, and I eat relatively healthy, have no health issues, so that may contribute to my positive experience. If you’re nervous, try it. It’s not the same for everyone, but it may be right for you!"

For Birth Control "This birth control is an amazing match for me. I started this pill 4 months ago and was honestly scared - lots of my friends told me about their weight gain, anxiety, and sudden waves of sadness. This pill has had no impact on my emotional state, and I personally have lost 16 pounds (with no lifestyle change). Overall, my periods are really light, I’m happy, and protected! Love this pill."

For Birth Control "This was my first time on birth control. My first 3 months, I had this horrible nausea that caused me to stop eating. I adjusted the time I was taking the pill to see if that would do anything. Instead of taking it in the afternoon, I started taking it at night before I went to bed. This helped dramatically, except when I started a new pack. The first week during sometime in the week, I got this horrible nausea that caused me to not be able to eat or go to school. It also caused my stomach to be very sensitive for the rest of the day. Regardless, I continued to take it, and these last 3 months have been the worst of my life. School has been very stressful, and the pill has only made things worse. I have never in my life had bad anxiety or depression. I’m a very positive person, but school along with this pill has caused extreme anxiety and depressive episodes for me. For the first time in my life, I had mental breakdowns wherever I went, cried myself to sleep at night, and had really dark thoughts."

For Birth Control "I took Taytulla at the advice of my gyn because of my heavy and painful periods, which were awful. After having a D and C, and a year later, a uterine biopsy, I thought I should start something to help with the low progesterone. Mirena was not an option because I didn’t want that in my body. For the first five days, I had no issues with Taytulla, but the bleeding then continued for 14 days, but not heavy like my old periods. Then I noticed I couldn’t sleep well, my anxiety is high, and I’m cranky and moody. My heart feels like it’s going to come out of my chest and has been occurring since after the first week of taking this. I also have cramps with it. I am not going to continue taking this stuff. The side effects are dangerous and life-threatening. I don’t know what my options are, but I’ll finish this pack and call my doctor today for something else or nothing at all."

For Birth Control "My daughter is 31 and started on Taytulla 6 months ago. Two weeks ago she experienced right side numbness while taking a shower before work. She was rushed to the hospital at 6:15 a.m. with right side paralysis and yellowing whites of her eyes. By 8:30 a.m. they came to us with her CT results. She had a 3 cm tumor on the motor skills portion of her brain, which all the doctors here in Tennessee said was inoperable. The only change in her medications and environmental factors was the introduction of Taytulla. Leading up to her diagnosis, she suffered terrible mood swings, anxiety attacks, and night sweats. After further investigation of this medication, you can see that 3.3 out of 100,000 developed some type of liver tumor. The greed in this country has made it acceptable to give a 3.3 a death sentence if it works for 99,997 women. This is unacceptable in my book! Shame on you!!!"

For Birth Control "I was given Taytulla after using Minastrin 24 for a year (which worked great). After taking it for a few months, my anxiety (which I had before taking it but was under control) became so much worse, and I began having panic attacks every day, and I actually became depressed despite having no history of it. These issues, along with extreme mood swings/irritability, frequent headaches, fatigue, and lack of motivation to do anything (despite being a motivated person before), caused me to switch back to Minastrin, even though I had to pay more because my insurance doesn't cover it. To me, paying extra is way better than having to go on this pill again, which I would not recommend to anyone, especially those who have anxiety/depression to begin with."

For Birth Control "So the last month and a half, I have had anxiety and mood swings through the dang roof. My poor fiancé has been having it so rough. I thought something was seriously wrong with me, and I was about to call my family doctor to schedule an appointment (anxiety is normal for me, but not at this level by far). Everything and everyone makes me soooo mad and emotional. I’m not normally a cow! I’m a happy person! Reading these comments and putting two and two together is such a relief because I’m not going crazy! I’m going to talk to my OB very soon. Good luck, ladies."

For Birth Control "First birth control medicine and the worst thing ever. Went on to regulate periods. That was the only issue I ever had. Now, after being on it for 7 months, here is what’s happening: increased heart rate, headaches, anxiety, and constant breakthrough bleeding for 10+ days a month on top of the actual period I get. Called the doctor, and they just keep telling me it takes a while for your body to adjust to birth control. That is ridiculous since it has already been 7 months. Hoping to either get new medicine or I will be done with birth control pills for good."

For Birth Control "This pill is awful! Wish I would have read these reviews before starting. THIS IS ALL TRUE-- depression, anxiety, headaches, nightmares, nausea, weight gain, sore breasts, tired all the time. I've only been on it 3 days (just threw away the pack) and very in touch with my body. I knew immediately that this was the cause of all these negative symptoms. I will NEVER ingest this pill again!"

For Birth Control "DON'T TAKE THIS BIRTH CONTROL!! I started taking Taytulla about one month ago. About a week in, all the symptoms and side effects started to show up. I was extremely nauseous, my depression and anxiety went through the roof and made me feel absolutely terrible. I was having crying episodes and felt anxious about life and relationships. I also have been bleeding for 8+ days with really bad abdominal cramps. I just recently stopped taking it yesterday. My anxiety and depression are still present, my gyno said it could take a month for my hormones to regulate. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND TO ANYONE."

For Birth Control "I have been on Taytulla for 6 months now, and it has made me extremely depressed. I started feeling these symptoms 3 months in but decided to give it some time before cutting it off. I barely leave my house anymore, I never hang out with my friends. I am always sad, nervous, tired, and anxious. I have trouble gaining motivation to attend school. Overall, it has just made me extremely depressed, and this will be the last packet I take of it. It has done a great job at preventing pregnancy, but the emotional distress just isn't worth it anymore."

For Birth Control "I have only been on Taytulla for 5 days, and I had a major emotional breakdown today and realized my anxiety has been getting worse and worse daily! Today was the worst I have ever been, and usually I'm a pretty calm soul! My husband said, 'You need to get off that BC immediately.' I have had a tubal and was given samples of this to try to control my periods, which are irregular and usually last 2 weeks. I'd rather have a 2-week-long horrible period than put my family through me acting the way I did today. I'll be flushing the rest of these samples. Back to the drawing board, doc."

For Birth Control "Taytulla is the third birth control I've tried, and I love it. I barely get a period anymore (light spotting), which is great for me because I used to experience really heavy bleeding and awful cramps. I've experienced some changes in appetite, but with no weight gain, my anxiety hasn't worsened (a severe side effect of another pill I was on), and my cramps are relatively non-existent. I plan on continuing to use this birth control for a long time."

For Birth Control "I started taking this birth control around a month and a half ago. I'm also in a relationship, and ever since I've started taking it, I have been almost constantly overthinking everything, having anxiety, being extremely sad and upset, and crying for no reason. This pill has also started to give me acne again. With all of these side effects (the mood swings being the WORST and most prevalent), I need to stop taking it. I am typically a very, very happy and outgoing girl, but ever since taking this, I have been a hormonal mess. I don't want this birth control to be the reason I am overly emotional with my boyfriend and constantly creating problems that aren't there. Would not recommend."

For Birth Control "I was put on this pill by my OB-GYN for my extremely painful and irregular periods and because I’m going off to college soon. This is the first time I’ve ever taken any form of birth control, so I didn’t really know what to expect. I took the pill for a little over a week and a half before stopping because I started feeling some extreme side effects. I was having severe anxiety, depression, and suicidal thoughts to the point where I had to be prescribed anti-anxiety meds to get me through the day. I couldn’t eat or sleep, and some days I couldn’t even pull myself out of bed. I ended up losing about 10-15 pounds. This was the scariest and darkest moment of my life, it felt like I would never get better. It took me months to actually feel like myself again. I definitely do not recommend this pill to anyone, there are better options out there for you."

For Birth Control "Stay away! Save yourself. After taking this BC, I began to experience depression and anxiety, then I began to bleed for 10+ days. This then caused me to stress even more because bleeding for a month isn’t enjoyable, so my mood decreased even more. Due to this BC, I’ve had to be prescribed anxiety and depression meds and was referred to a counselor. I’d honestly rather be pregnant than deal with constant bleeding and mental health issues."

For Birth Control "I’ve been on Taytulla for about 8 months now, and let me tell you, it’s been a roller coaster ride. My original birth control I was on, I never had any side effects or anything wrong except for gaining a little bit of weight. The doctor switched my birth control to Taytulla, and it’s literally been the worst thing ever! I am a very happy person, and this pill made me extremely depressed, and also my anxiety went skyrocket and through the roof! I thought I was like this because I went through a breakup after 4 years, but no! After reading the reviews, it all makes sense. I am definitely stopping the pill and do NOT recommend Taytulla to anyone!"

For Birth Control "For the girls thinking about starting Taytulla and reading the reviews from people who stopped it too soon. (with reason, of course - health first) I stayed on it for my body to adjust and didn't stop a few weeks or months in because of side effects. Yes, you're going to get side effects, you're messing with your body's hormones, expect them. For the first few 2-3 months, I got headaches constantly, almost zero appetite, and my anxiety had hit panic levels, paranoia, and light mood swings, on the side of crying more. But after the side effects wore off, it's perfect. I never gained weight, (had acne as I did before) no cramping, light periods, I went up a cup size, and not pregnant. Personal warnings: I will warn about coffee and caffeine, one of the side effects is a type of sensory overload when mixed with caffeine. I switched to decaf as I drink coffee for taste. Read what interacts with Taytulla, types of teas, and detox. Side effects with medicine, vitamins, and herbal supplements."

For Birth Control "This is the worst birth control I have ever used. I used Taytulla for 5 months. At first, my skin cleared up, my periods were light, and my hormones were under control. Then I had migraines, constant headaches, nausea, and my hormones changed. I had really dark thoughts, depression, anxiety, and severe mood swings. Sex drive went way down. Then really painful sex. I did research on Taytulla and saw similar experiences. After 5 months of taking it, I stopped, and my symptoms improved days after stopping. Except painful sex. I went to my OB/GYN and was diagnosed with lichen sclerosus. This is an autoimmune disease that can be triggered later in life and can be triggered by high levels of hormones. There is no cure and only treatments that can be used to help reduce the pain while having sex. DO NOT USE Taytulla. Get your partner to use condoms. Women shouldn’t deal with this. My husband now wears condoms, and I will never use birth control ever again in my life."

For Birth Control "So I shared how much I loved Taytulla after a month of being on it, and I’m now here to update you on month 6 of my experience! First off, this BCP was the first I had ever been on, so I was definitely nervous at the start. It never gave me weird hormones, depression, or anxiety, like other people have said. I did not gain weight, my acne has cleared up, and I'm overall loving how I feel (plus I’m not pregnant!). Definitely give Taytulla a try...I was very hesitant, but I really love it."
