For Birth Control "When I first started, I experienced no side effects, so I said, great! After about 3 days, I experienced the worst nauseous feeling ever. It went away right after I stopped taking the pill. Side effects are different in people."

For Birth Control "With potential endometriosis, I was prescribed this medication strictly to control and help moderate my never-ending pelvic pain and over-the-top long heavy painful periods. Starting Taytulla on the first day of my period, I can say with full confidence that it was the worst period of my life. Lasting over two weeks, I could do little to nothing due to excruciating cramps, fatigue, headaches, back pain, nausea, breast pain, and dizziness. Since then, I haven't had one day free of spotting, nausea, anxiousness, feelings of depression and panic, consistent pelvic pain, neck pain, headaches, and constant fatigue, often leaving me out of breath. All these symptoms seem to appear or worsen after I take the pill every day at 4. I am 20 years old with a healthy BMI, and I can't describe how much of a living hell these pills are putting me through. But I'm determined to stick it out for three months. That's when I'm told it will improve or find a new OBGYN."

For Birth Control "This pill ruined my life. For the first three days of taking it, I felt unbelievably awesome. I had a lot of energy and I felt generally happy. Around the 5th day of taking this, I started to feel off but continued to take it. A few more days passed and I began to feel extremely emotional, could not stop crying, and started having severe anxiety and depression that interfered with my daily life. I would lay around and cry all day, every day. I had no motivation to do anything and felt trapped in my own mind. Aside from the emotional side effects, I completely lost my appetite, had severe cramps, extreme nausea, and abnormal bleeding, which went on for 16 straight days. I stopped taking the pill after 16 days. I've been off the pill for 4 days now and I have yet to get my appetite back, but my mental state is finally starting to improve again. This pill ruined my life and strained my relationship. Thanks a lot, Taytulla, you suck."

For Birth Control "I had only been taking this for about a week, and I realize stuff like this usually takes a couple of weeks to kick in or take into effect, but I had to stop taking it immediately. I have never felt so depressed in my entire life than I have after taking this. I wake up crying and go to sleep crying, and I feel like an entirely different person. I felt super nauseous and dizzy as well. Definitely not for me."

For Birth Control "I was just diagnosed with endometriosis due to unexplained abdominal pain for months. My OB/GYN recommended a BC to see if symptoms subside. After not being on BC for close to 10 years, Taytulla is the first one I've tried. I'm a week in and have been noticing nothing but horrible side effects. I get a migraine every single day after eating, usually about 6 hours into my day, extreme nausea, neck pain, and brain fog. I've also had an increase in acne. I'm trying to give it a chance, but if these symptoms continue, then I will be forced to stop it completely. Allergan (the company that makes it) is a very reputable company, and I'd like to see this help women, but I think it's going to take a while to work out the kinks."

For Birth Control "I have taken Taytulla for 3 months. The first month on this pill, my period stayed on for about 2 weeks, after the first month, my period was very light and short, but I still had bad cramps. All three months, I had painful breast tenderness on about the second to third week, to the point that I found it impossible to run on the treadmill for a few days. The most miserable were the symptoms experienced on the onset of my period... nausea, diarrhea, sweating, weakness, dizziness, and horrible, horrible cramping. I felt as if I needed to go to the ER, the symptoms were that severe, as if I had food poisoning or something. I didn't experience any increase in acne but did experience noticeable bloating. The last month, my emotions were a little out of whack. Overall, I debated whether or not to give Taytulla a try for an additional month, to see if the medication just needed to level out some more. I ended up calling my doctor's office, and the nurse felt a new brand/pill was worth a try."

For Birth Control "I'm a week away from finishing my second free trial pack from my doc, and I won't be taking any more. I switched from Sprintec because he said they were lower dose and would make my periods lighter. I was sold on the fewer hormones. So, I get home to Google these, and of course they're practically brand new. I hate being a guinea pig, and 5 bucks says doctors are getting paid to prescribe them. They make me sick to my stomach, and I've had terrible migraines. My face is broken out, but I'm not pregnant. (At least I hope not.) I say this because this was literally the shortest period I've ever had, like 2 days, 2 tampons, two pads. Which actually freaks me out. My 5-day periods were light and just fine. Not bleeding doesn't seem natural to me."

For Birth Control "I took it for the entire 3-month sample time, and symptoms definitely decreased the longer I was on it and my body adjusted. My main symptom was nausea-AWFUL nausea. It felt like there was a lump in my throat, and I wouldn’t feel like eating. I had so many “baby burps.” I started Taytulla after a miscarried pregnancy, and the symptoms were WAY too similar, it made me so scared-constantly scared-that I was pregnant again. My periods were extremely light-only pantyliners for two, maybe three days max-which would be great in any other circumstance, except for the fact it drove my anxiety of being pregnant again. I’ve also had a mild yeast infection off and on the past month or so. Ultimately, I would have stayed on it if the side effects didn’t remind me so much of pregnancy and scare me. Overall, decent birth control, but I’m going to try another one for the time being."

For Birth Control "Been on Taytulla for two months now. Noticed a few side effects, mainly nausea, but that wasn't unbearable because I had nausea before I started taking the pill. First month on the pill, I was spotting for about two weeks straight. Then, when it came time to take the iron pills, the flow sped up just a little. When I took the first pink pill after the iron pills, the bleeding stopped completely. Really happy with the results so far."

For Birth Control "I was on Minastrin years ago, loved it but had to switch because it got too expensive. So next I went on Yaz for my skin..... horrible experience, that pill wrecked me. I stopped taking birth control altogether for about 6 months and now I’m on Taytulla. I was super nervous after my experience on Yaz, but it hasn’t been too bad yet. I’m on my second week and oddly enough my skin is very clear, no increased appetite or weight gain, and very minimal side effects. I am experiencing some headaches and nausea, but nothing unmanageable. I did notice that all of a sudden I have two giant cystic acne spots on my back now, super painful! Very unusual for me. Has this happened to anyone else???? I’m hoping it will go away... will report back later."

For Birth Control "I’ve been taking this medicine for not even a full 2 weeks, and I’ve experienced terrible issues. This is my first birth control I have ever been on, and if I could give this product a 0 rating, I would. I’ve experienced extreme nausea, I’ve even thrown up a few times, bad headaches, mood swings, etc. As soon as I stopped taking the medicine, I threw up that night. It is now the next morning, and I feel better than when I was on it. Would not recommend to anyone!!!"

For Birth Control "I really like this pill a lot! The only con is that I gained ten pounds in two months from it and have been eating the same amount of food. I have no PMS and only three days of a period with just one or two days of moderate cramps. Sometimes I get nauseous when I get my period with Taytulla, but that might not be accurate because I have anxiety. But overall, a good pill!"

For Birth Control "I am getting married! I am very self-conscious of weight gain, side effects, and making sure everything falls into place. I have no need to take the pill until a month from my wedding, but I thought: I’m introducing hormones into my body; I know I will have side effects. How I handled taking it: 1. I take it at night before I sleep (I still feel side effects because it happens). 2. I drink water. 3. I keep a diary!!! My entry of the first seven pills: I started taking Taytulla on June 17th. The most common side effect I had was headaches. I had a little nausea; I noticed after my fifth pill I did have ovary pain. I didn’t gain weight during the first week - I lost weight because I’m trying to! I went down two healthy pounds! My first week was a success! Today I began my second week of Taytulla. I still have my diary of small entries of how I react, so I plan to continue this so I can update you! My measurements are 29”-26”-34” for reference and my weight is 113!"

For Birth Control "Almost a week after switching to Taytulla, I knew something was wrong. I figured my body was going through an adjustment period, but 2 more weeks went by, and every single day has been hell. I'm nauseous, I get light-headed, I have double vision, and I have a weird taste in my mouth that just won't go away. The actual gel capsule itself is dangerous too. I have no issues with swallowing gel capsules usually, but one day I almost choked while trying to swallow it. Oddly enough, the Taytulla glided over my tongue while I swallowed water. When I attempted a breath, the slippery coating allowed it to slip right into my windpipe. I was aggressively coughing until it finally came back out. My body feels like it's going haywire, I'm switching back."

For Birth Control "My doctor suggested Taytulla to me when I told her that my mood swings were terrible on the birth control I was on. She switched me to this, and so far, so good! The Good: My mood has improved drastically, I hardly have cramps anymore, my periods are light and short. The Bad: Acne has magically appeared, but it isn't too bad (I've never had bad acne). I was nauseous and dizzy for the first month, but that has since gone away. I'm constantly craving sweet things, which is a pain (but who knows, maybe that's just me). So far, this is my favorite birth control that I've been on!"

For Birth Control "When I first started taking this birth control (first timer), I was nauseous for a few days. As another stated below, I thought it was food poisoning. I was more irritable and emotional than usual, bled for 2 weeks straight. I've now been on it for 8 months, and my mood swings are better, no nausea, no major weight gain, no scary acne. I do notice an increase in appetite, but I’ll take that over a baby right now. Overall, I feel great."

For Birth Control "I started Taytulla on the first day of my period back in February on the 8th, no side effects. My period lasted the normal 6 maybe 7 days. 2.5 weeks later, I get my period again on February 27th and that lasted up until March 9th. My first light period happened on April 2nd for 3 days, did not even need a pad or tampon. Same with this month, it started May 1st, lasted 3 days, extremely light. That is what I liked, my period got lighter, hardly any cramps. But now I'm at the point where I'm going to stop taking it because my breasts hurt so bad from it and I'm an emotional wreck. The nurse practitioner at my OB/GYN practice said Taytulla would help with random crying for no reason, so it has not. I talked to my actual OB/GYN, she suggested I switch pills until I get my fallopian tubes removed in July, but I am thinking of just stopping altogether the pills due to my breasts hurting so bad. At one point, I thought I was pregnant again last month because I felt so nauseous, but I wasn't."

For Birth Control "I just started my 3rd month of Taytulla. I was on Lo Loestrin Fe, but it was a bad fit. During the first two months, I experienced some nausea, nothing too bad, and some headaches. I didn’t break out (yay!), and if anything, my skin looks even healthier than usual. I haven’t gained weight, and it has not increased my appetite. I could not give it a 10 because I feel it isn’t making the size difference in my breasts more substantial - if this goes away after the 3rd month, I will update this post. Hope this helps - I love it!"

For Birth Control "I just had a second baby, had been taking Lo Loestrin for 10+ years. My hormones were completely out of whack. I was extremely emotional, mood swings, heavy periods, overall miserable. My OB switched me to this birth control. First week a little nauseous but I’m on week 3, and my periods are lighter and I’m MUCH better hormonally. They have a coupon now until June, you can get it for $25.00, but after insurance may cover, and it’s 100+."

For Birth Control "This is the fourth birth control I’ve been on, and I do not recommend this to anyone. While taking this BC, I started to get extremely bloated, nauseous, had constant migraines, and I was extremely emotional about everything. I also caught myself slipping into a depression, I had high anxiety and lacked all motivation. I have zero history of depression and anxiety, so I really didn’t know how this felt. I have naturally low blood pressure, and I would wake up or go throughout the day, and my blood pressure would skyrocket. I truly have nothing positive to say about this BC. Look into other BCs if you’re going to get onto one or onto a new one."

For Birth Control "Wow, this BC is the worst ever that I have been on. After having a final ligation, I experienced ovarian cysts that caused mid-cycle pain, so my obgyn gave me Taytulla. From day 3-8, I have been bloated, extremely nauseous, gained 4 lbs, and lost hair. I decided to stop after day 8, I was also spotting all 8 days. I don’t recommend this for anyone, as my experience was horrific."

For Birth Control "Before I was on the Nexplanon implantation birth control for 8 months and honestly say that was the worst. I gained so much weight (over 20 lbs), mood swings and depression, and don't get me started on my pimples on my chin! After I got the guts to get it out of me, I told my doctor all my symptoms, and she recommended Taytulla, and so far, so good! I’m happier, and I haven’t had a period yet, and my skin is looking good. The only downside I gotta say is I feel a little nauseous every time I eat. But hopefully this birth control keeps up the good results, I might stick to it since it’s only been 2 weeks using this method!"

For Birth Control "It’s my 3rd week using Taytulla. I have severe depression and mood swings. I am not myself at all, and people around me are noticing it. After taking the pill in the morning, I feel so nauseous, and sometimes I would even vomit. I was thinking that I should finish the 3-month sample and see if my body will adjust, but now I am not so sure."

For Birth Control "I'm new to birth control (never took any besides now). I have been on this BC for about 2 weeks and 1 day! And I feel horrible! My mood swings are out of control, my breasts are super sore. I feel so sick after taking this pill. I’ve been super depressed and sad since the first week but didn’t pay too much mind because I thought it was my period. After reading the reviews on this, I figured I wasn’t going crazy. I DO NOT RECOMMEND this BC to anyone, more so new starters."

For Birth Control "I've never been on BC before and decided to explore options and was given this by my doctor to try. I started it on the first day of my period and throughout the day didn't feel any standard side effects (dizziness, nausea, headache, increased appetite, etc.). Unfortunately, things took a change for the worst - by that night I experienced intense itching, burning, and redness. The following day I decided to take it again just to be sure, and it only intensified. DO NOT TAKE THIS BC. Unfortunately, my doctor wasn't very receptive in prescribing me some of the options I had looked into (Yaz, Ortho-tricyclen, Yasmin) and kind of just shoved this down my throat to try. Definitely do your research!"
