For Birth Control "I've been on Taytulla for a few months. It's a good birth control. I get some nausea from this medicine, I believe. Sometimes, if I'm not expecting to smell food, it smells really nasty to me. I believe that has to do with the nausea side effect, however, it's not extreme. It's been good for preventing pregnancy. I used to have bad acne and heavy periods. My acne has cleared up completely, and my periods are very light. One month I'll have a light, painless period, and the next month I'll have a light, painful period, it just depends. My flow is always light. I gained some weight, not much but noticeable. I was 115 pounds, now I stay around 120. Other than the slight nausea, I feel good. I used to be on Junel Fe, and I had to switch to Taytulla because I was having 2 periods a month on Junel for over a year. I only have one period a month of Taytulla lasting 4 days, and sometimes I skip a month... It's okay if you miss one period."

For Birth Control "I was on a different birth control for 2 years but decided to stop because I wanted to stop my period. I have been on Taytulla for only a week and have never in my life experienced this kind of depression. My anxiety is also through the roof, and I’ve been very nauseous. I have no energy to do anything and fell behind on my work drastically. Wanted to wait this out, but it’s ruining relationships around me and overall not worth it. This has affected me mentally so horribly I’m taking immediate action to get off of it. I would not recommend."

For Birth Control "I've been on Taytulla for more than 6 months, and it has been the worst experience of my life. I've had constant migraines, no sex drive, my anxiety and depression have been through the roof, my period is nonexistent, which I don't think is normal or healthy. I've been so nauseous and so moody, it's crazy. I do not recommend this pill to anyone. Stay as far away from it as possible. I am hoping to look for another pill or maybe an IUD."

For Birth Control "I have taken Taytulla for more than 6 months, and it was all fine. No side effects until I decided to delay starting a pack so I wouldn't get my period on vacation. Instead of 4 'sugar pills,' I decided to wait 2 more days after. And it was the worst decision I've ever made. BAD nausea, BAD heartburn. I can't sleep at night, I can't eat without getting grossed out. I am quitting this pill soon."

For Birth Control "I can't even begin to explain what a hell I have been living through from this birth control. One star is too good for Taytulla. I started the pill, and for about three days, I felt amazing. Day four, the nausea started. I woke up day five feeling lightheaded, exhausted, and had nausea. It kept getting worse from these. I developed a feeling of spinning, hot flashes, skin crawling, and the most severe headaches I have ever experienced. The headaches are so bad that my doctor prescribed me migraine meds, and that didn't even touch the pain. I also developed extreme anxiety and have had quite a few moments where I panic and am afraid that I will feel like this for the rest of my life. I took Taytulla for 11 days. I have been off of it for 48 hours with little change in side effects so far. I don't feel spinning as severely, and my skin is no longer crawling. I do feel as though I am floating, my ears are ringing, and my head is absolutely killing me. Hopefully, life will be normal again soon."

For Birth Control "I switched over to Taytulla from Apri because it promoted having lighter periods, but this pill has caused more problems in my life than I could have expected. In just the first month, I suffered anxiety, mood swings, depression, nausea, cramps, and a huge cyst on the side of my head. We've been cautious in bed so I don't think I'm pregnant, but I haven't gotten my period yet, which has caused my anxiety to skyrocket even more. Being on this pill has made me feel less of myself than any other medication. I'll be switching back to Apri next month as I'd rather have heavier periods than all of the above! That said, this is my experience with Taytulla; other women might have a different, more positive one."

For Birth Control "I was prescribed Taytulla after having an ectopic pregnancy. My doctor told me that I needed to wait 90 days before trying again. So the first package of Taytulla that I took, I had no complaints. I'm on my second package, and I've had nonstop nausea, it's so bad I want to go to the hospital. Then I read reviews where women were gaining weight and having mood swings. Those things are now accurate for me. And I'm upset because I lost 100 pounds, so to turn around and gain 17 pounds is very discouraging. My poor husband has been the target of my mood swings. I would like to wait to try for another baby, but I am done as of today taking this birth control pill."

For Birth Control "Due to moving, changing doctors, and being out of town (and away from my husband for 10 days), my original BC Rx lapsed. My new doctor gave me samples of Taytulla to use in the meantime while we get everything squared away for an IUD insertion. I have been taking the pills for almost a month, and this last week I have been so nauseous, gassy, and irritable. The only time I have felt this way was when I was pregnant with my two kiddos. I genuinely thought I was pregnant. I took two pregnancy tests (days apart), and both were negative. I was certain I was pregnant, my mom and husband were convinced too. After the second negative prego test, I started looking up more information about this type of BC. My gosh, I wish I would have known sooner. I have felt awful for a week now, to the point of knocking me right down in bed. Not to mention the emotional strain it has caused. This is by far the WORST BC I have ever tried. This is bad news bears. Never again."

For Birth Control "Positive: I never once got pregnant while on Taytulla, and my period that used to be 8-9 days went down to 4 days! I have huge ovarian cysts that were blocking blood flow to my left ovary, which in turn caused me to have my period once every other month or so. After many years, I was happy that for once I wasn't in pain and that everything was finally consistent. Cons: It takes about a month or so to get used to the hormones. My stomach every night felt ice cold, and in the morning I was so nauseated. Once that went away, I noticed I gained about 5 lbs. Asked doc, and he said it should go away... Here I am about a year later and have gone from 130 lb to 175 lb. And let's not even mention not even two months into taking this OC, I have had a severe yeast infection on and off for the last 7-8 months or so. Overall, between the physical symptoms and the fact that it has made my depression more severe (diagnosed with MDD about 10 years ago), I am calling it quits. I am barely 23, I want to enjoy being a young woman."

For Birth Control "After 2 days, I'm stopping this pill. Migraine, nausea, barely slept. Looked up the reviews because I experienced these symptoms and was stunned at how many women had a negative experience. Do NOT recommend."

For Birth Control "This birth control worked GREAT! It didn’t make me nauseous at all. It stopped my period for 8 months. Unfortunately, I'm switching to Loryna to help my acne. But I would highly recommend Taytulla if you’re just looking for something to protect against pregnancy."

For Birth Control "I started Taytulla two weeks ago. Since the very first day I started it, I have been dizzy and nauseous, it's gotten worse with each passing day. I have cramping every day since I started it, back and chest pain. I've also had nightmares every night since starting it. I feel like I'm constantly in a fog and can't focus. I decided to take it at night last night, thinking maybe I'll just sleep through the dizziness and nausea and be okay during the day, but that was not the case. I kept waking up feeling like I was going to be sick but was too dizzy to get out of bed, and I had the most terrifying dreams I've had in my life. I'm discontinuing the pack, I can't live like this for another two weeks, that's how badly it's affecting my life. I would definitely not recommend this birth control. I've tried many different birth controls in my life due to endometriosis, and this is by far the worst one I've ever taken!"

For Birth Control "As soon as I began using Taytulla, I developed sudden, severe migraines. I began taking the pills at night and still experience the same symptoms. Adverse effects when combined with caffeine or alcohol in the same 24 hours included insomnia and nausea."

For Birth Control "My experience with Taytulla was horrible, and it's only been my first week. I felt nausea about 2 hours after I took it, and I noticed I had a yeast infection. I never have it, and I knew something was wrong. I read about it online, and it does cause yeast infection as a side effect for some people. It was not a fun experience. I had it changed, and the doctor has me on Orsythia, no problems so far!"

For Birth Control "This is my first time ever taking BC, and I was prescribed Taytulla. It's been about a week, and I haven't had any side effects. No headaches, no weight gain, no feelings of depression or anxiety, and no nausea. It's still early, but so far it works well. I was scared to try it because of the reviews, but just give it a chance."

For Birth Control "Horrible experience. After 6 weeks of taking Taytulla, I started bleeding like a normal period. Only after 2 weeks my period ended, and then it turned very heavy with a lot of clots. This has been the case for 4 days. It has given me bad cramps and GI issues. It has set my anemia back to where it initially began. I also experienced nausea, anxiety, and depression. I’m definitely getting off of this!"

For Birth Control "I wanted to share my experience with this medicine as your reviews helped me to take myself off of it. I was given samples of Taytulla after having my daughter. Two weeks after taking it, I had severe nausea, constantly felt like I was going to throw up. I also had a loss of appetite, and then anxiety started. I never have dealt with panic attacks or anxiety, and this made me so anxious I was scared to be alone. It also made me very lightheaded. I would advise being very cautious when taking this medicine. I took myself off of it almost a week ago, and I am just starting to feel a little like myself."

For Birth Control "The first three weeks of being on this pill were tough. The first 48 hours after starting it, I was really nauseous. If I hadn’t known it was from just starting this medication, I’d have thought it was food poisoning. The rest of the time, this pill gave me really bad headaches and sensitivity to light. After about a month, my body adjusted, and I loved it! My periods were 3 days max, and my bleeding was significantly lighter. Overall, I’m very satisfied with it, and I’m glad I stuck it out those first couple of weeks! The only reason I had to change is my insurance wouldn’t cover it anymore at all, and the cost was going to go up astronomically high."

For Birth Control "At first, I was worried about taking my first BC, Taytulla. I saw all the bad reviews but took it anyway. In the beginning, I was nauseous for about a week, nothing ginger tea couldn’t fix. I then started spotting heavily and had bad anxiety and mood swings. I’m now on my fourth pack, and spotting is gone, I feel like my normal self again. Obviously, in the beginning, your body is going through a lot of changes and takes a bit of time to get used to it. Also, a con of Taytulla is it's expensive even with insurance."

For Birth Control "This was the very first birth control I had ever been put on. My OBGYN recommended it, so I gave it a try and told me to come back in about a month or so to see how my body handled it. It was about a week into taking it when I started feeling nauseous 24/7. I could not even get near food without feeling like I was going to throw up; therefore, I lost weight. This pill made my anxiety and depression skyrocket! The smallest little things made me cry or have anxiety for no reason. I was not happy for a long time because of this birth control. My boobs hurt so bad on this pill, so much that I had to wear only sports bras because even walking down a staircase made me feel like I got punched in each boob. My period was very irregular. I rarely bled on my four placebo pills; I only ever bled randomly; there was no regularity whatsoever."

For Birth Control "This was the very first birth control I have ever taken in my life. Overall, it did not make me gain any excess weight, nor caused acne. I noticed the first few pills of the pack usually gave me a headache or some nausea. My periods went from extremely heavy to light. The only bad thing about Taytulla is it increased my anxiety and depression. I was a nervous wreck! If you have anxiety, please stay away from this birth control!!!!!"

For Birth Control "I have been on Taytulla for about 2 weeks. I had Nexplanon, which I loved but caused ovarian cysts, so I had to get it removed. Since getting Nexplanon removed, I haven't had a period, so they put me on Taytulla to try and get my body back into the rhythm of things. Ever since taking this BC, I have had headaches, extreme nausea, double vision, depression, anxiety, terrible cramps, and I got a yeast infection, which turned into a bacterial infection, I am breaking out like crazy. I called my OB today to see if they couldn't send in another birth control to my pharmacy. They told me basically to suck it up, and after 3 MONTHS, the side effects would diminish. Needless to say, I quit taking it 2 days ago and still have side effects, please take with caution!"

For Birth Control "I’ve been on this drug for about 2 months. I am finishing up this pill pack and then getting off of it. The first week I took it, I was constantly nauseous and also very emotional and irritable. That started to lessen over the weeks until I took the second pack and the same thing happened. I am on my last week of the second pack and the nausea is back in full force. There are several foods I can no longer stomach. I also have gotten very bloated, have painful pimples from this medication, and have a lot of vaginal dryness, which is very uncomfortable and makes intercourse painful. As someone who has suffered from depression for most of my life, I have begun to feel sad and tired for no reason. I am constantly hungry and nauseated at the same time. While the pill seems to be doing its main job of preventing pregnancy and I understand it takes the body time to adjust, this has just been way too much for my body. I cannot wait to get off this and feel like myself again."
