For Birth Control "I started Taytulla during the last few days of December 2016. I had no problems-no fatigue, no stomach ache, no headaches, just basically nothing out of the ordinary. Within the first couple of months, I had mild spotting, and the side effects of my period did not go away. I still had terrible cramps, stomach bloating, and my acne actually seemed to get worse as the months went on. Six months later, I am seeing no difference in anything EXCEPT! My period does come at the right time at the end of my packet every month. The real issue? EXPENSIVE! With insurance only covering part of the cost (original price is almost $200, it costs $80 a month. Who has that kind of money?)"

For Birth Control "This is my first time ever taking BC, and I was prescribed Taytulla. It's been about a week, and I haven't had any side effects. No headaches, no weight gain, no feelings of depression or anxiety, and no nausea. It's still early, but so far it works well. I was scared to try it because of the reviews, but just give it a chance."

For Birth Control "Love it! Best BC I've ever been on in the past decade. It works perfectly for my body. My moods are better than ever, my period is light, water weight gain subsiding after a few months, and was easy to get on, unlike some higher estrogen pills that have given me bad side effects, i.e., headache, intense breast tenderness, mood swings the first 3 months - this didn't happen with Taytulla. It was the easiest transition I've ever had. I love it! I have PCOS, so I'm thinking it may be helpful for those suffering from this. I would definitely recommend this BC despite what some reviews say, I've had the opposite experience. I feel much more even with my moods throughout the month and days, unlike usual with or without birth control."

For Birth Control "Prescribed by my doc to minimize bleeding due to fibroids. I’m on my second pack and still unsure because I bleed every day. Some days it’s heavy, but most days it’s not. I’m only staying on it for now because no hair loss, no cramps, no headache. I put on some weight, but I lose easily, so not too concerned. I’m taking with iron supplement for now, but can’t continue with daily spotting and bleeding until menopause. I’m on the fence recommending this, but I guess it’s a matter of your problem and what works. I honestly prefer minimal bleeding and some hair on my head."

For Birth Control "I started taking birth control about a year ago and got prescribed Sprintec. I had no symptoms other than a 6-7 day period when they were 3-4 days before starting the pill. I told my OBGYN this after taking Sprintec for 10 months, and she thought it would be best to try another pill, that’s when she prescribed Taytulla. I would 100% not recommend this birth control to anyone. I have been on Taytulla for 4 months now, and every month I will start bleeding a week after taking my placebo pills and continue to bleed until I reach the next set of placebo pills. For the last 3 months, I have had 3-week periods and then 1 week off. I have also noticed extreme weight gain in these four months and am constantly bloated, along with daily headaches. I am switching back to Sprintec and NEVER taking Taytulla again."

For Birth Control "First birth control, and I've been taking it since May, which is now about 4 months. It's been great! Had a good amount of breast swelling and tenderness, as well as headaches for about a week or two in the first and second month, which is minor in my book. I use this BC to skip my periods. Last month, I started to see brown discharge, so I made that my cue to go with the 4 iron pills and start my period. The day after I took the pink pill again, it completely stopped. No red and no brown. Only downside. It is expensive, and my insurance does not cover it, so once my samples and co-pay card doesn't cover it, I will have to find something else."

For Birth Control "I was on Taytulla for two years and stopped a month ago. The first side effect was depression. It wasn’t severe, and it balanced out within 2 months. My moods were stable and my period lightened up, although it never stopped (I didn’t have a very heavy flow to begin with). I gained 20 pounds, and my libido suffered. Despite the minor side effects, I would’ve continued with this pill had it not been for the headaches. I had never had a migraine before starting Taytulla. I then had an ocular migraine, but my doctor said it was unrelated to the pill. After that, I began to suffer from headaches 2-3 times a week and a migraine several times a month. I have not had one headache since I stopped this medication. If strokes or complex migraines run in your family or if you suffer from them already, I do NOT recommend this pill. I have read other reviews where other users began to have headaches as well, even though headaches are not a side effect listed for this medication."

For Birth Control "One month on Taytulla, and it’s my first time using birth control (to regulate my period). I’ve had my period for 11 days now, and it’s continuing. The blood flow hasn’t been terrible, and I would like for my period to end now. Cramps have been bad. Light headache that has been ongoing since I started this pill. Anxiety and depression worsened. My mood swings are all over the place. The only pro is that I did not get pregnant only one week into the pill."

For Birth Control "I was prescribed Taytulla for birth control and specifically to help with my really heavy periods. I read the reviews on this website a month before I actually had the courage to start this pill, and I can say that my experience has been a positive one. No mood swings, no headaches, a VERY light 2-day period and clearer skin. I haven’t don’t have any noticeable weight gain, however, I do find myself more hungry more often, but I am good at differentiating between bc hunger and actual hunger. If you were prescribed this medication, please don’t let the other reviews scare you! Each birth control is different for everyone, so give it a go!"

For Birth Control "The first three weeks of being on this pill were tough. The first 48 hours after starting it, I was really nauseous. If I hadn’t known it was from just starting this medication, I’d have thought it was food poisoning. The rest of the time, this pill gave me really bad headaches and sensitivity to light. After about a month, my body adjusted, and I loved it! My periods were 3 days max, and my bleeding was significantly lighter. Overall, I’m very satisfied with it, and I’m glad I stuck it out those first couple of weeks! The only reason I had to change is my insurance wouldn’t cover it anymore at all, and the cost was going to go up astronomically high."

For Birth Control "This was the very first birth control I have ever taken in my life. Overall, it did not make me gain any excess weight, nor caused acne. I noticed the first few pills of the pack usually gave me a headache or some nausea. My periods went from extremely heavy to light. The only bad thing about Taytulla is it increased my anxiety and depression. I was a nervous wreck! If you have anxiety, please stay away from this birth control!!!!!"

For Birth Control "I have been on Taytulla for about 2 weeks. I had Nexplanon, which I loved but caused ovarian cysts, so I had to get it removed. Since getting Nexplanon removed, I haven't had a period, so they put me on Taytulla to try and get my body back into the rhythm of things. Ever since taking this BC, I have had headaches, extreme nausea, double vision, depression, anxiety, terrible cramps, and I got a yeast infection, which turned into a bacterial infection, I am breaking out like crazy. I called my OB today to see if they couldn't send in another birth control to my pharmacy. They told me basically to suck it up, and after 3 MONTHS, the side effects would diminish. Needless to say, I quit taking it 2 days ago and still have side effects, please take with caution!"

For Birth Control "I had an ablation about 6 years ago, and my periods stopped but still had cramping. Cramps became so bad that I ended up in the ER on several occasions. The doctor suggested birth control, and I tried Taytulla. Horrible experience. Acne (my skin was clear before), severe mood swings and uncontrollable crying, heart racing, headaches, incredibly low sex drive, and just a general feeling of not caring about anything. I gave it a try for 5 months. Switched, and it has been life-changing, cheaper, effective, and I actually want to be intimate again. Only positive thing I would say about this is it did stop the cramps. Everyone's different, but this was a terrible experience for me, and I'm so happy I switched."

For Birth Control "I took Taytulla for 3 weeks, and as I started the 4th week, I started to have period symptoms. I had a horrible headache, back pain, moodiness, and fever with chills that have never happened to me before at that degree. My pre-period headaches had that same feeling of pain but not the intensity, so I said, screw it! I stopped taking it as I was having that headache, backache, stomachache, and the hot flashes. Thought I was going to die, actually. But now it is 3 days since I've stopped taking it, and my body is slowly but surely recovering from this endeavor. But just because Taytulla didn't work for me doesn't mean it won't work for you :)"

For Birth Control "DO NOT TAKE IF DIAGNOSED WITH DEPRESSION/ANXIETY. I was given this medication due to extreme cramps and heavy periods, causing me to miss uni classes and take ibuprofen constantly. When I began this birth control, my period was even heavier than usual. I didn’t notice a change in cramps, they stayed the same. My main problem, though, is that I have clinical depression and anxiety. I took Taytulla for only 4 days, and on the second day, I automatically began feeling so much more depressed than usual, and even hopeless by the third day. This birth control has no interaction with my antidepressant, so I know it wasn’t that, it was the Taytulla itself. I also began having headaches at around the second day. I talked to my doctor and immediately discontinued this medication. I felt way better after going off this medication. I would NOT recommend it for any person with depression or anxiety, even for the short time I took it, it made everything so much worse."

For Birth Control "With potential endometriosis, I was prescribed this medication strictly to control and help moderate my never-ending pelvic pain and over-the-top long heavy painful periods. Starting Taytulla on the first day of my period, I can say with full confidence that it was the worst period of my life. Lasting over two weeks, I could do little to nothing due to excruciating cramps, fatigue, headaches, back pain, nausea, breast pain, and dizziness. Since then, I haven't had one day free of spotting, nausea, anxiousness, feelings of depression and panic, consistent pelvic pain, neck pain, headaches, and constant fatigue, often leaving me out of breath. All these symptoms seem to appear or worsen after I take the pill every day at 4. I am 20 years old with a healthy BMI, and I can't describe how much of a living hell these pills are putting me through. But I'm determined to stick it out for three months. That's when I'm told it will improve or find a new OBGYN."

For Birth Control "My OB prescribed me this BC. I just had gives birth two months ago, and it was okay for the first week and a half. Then I noticed I was gaining weight, craving different foods. Then I started having headaches that got progressively worse, turning into migraines. Then I started bleeding, my period wasn't even supposed to start yet, and I'm still bleeding very heavily. Super tampons barely work. I do not recommend this BC, although everyone's body is different."

For Birth Control "I was on Minastrin years ago, loved it but had to switch because it got too expensive. So next I went on Yaz for my skin..... horrible experience, that pill wrecked me. I stopped taking birth control altogether for about 6 months and now I’m on Taytulla. I was super nervous after my experience on Yaz, but it hasn’t been too bad yet. I’m on my second week and oddly enough my skin is very clear, no increased appetite or weight gain, and very minimal side effects. I am experiencing some headaches and nausea, but nothing unmanageable. I did notice that all of a sudden I have two giant cystic acne spots on my back now, super painful! Very unusual for me. Has this happened to anyone else???? I’m hoping it will go away... will report back later."

For Birth Control "I'm on month 3 taking this after being forced to switch from Minestrin FE (I really liked this one) due to insurance changes. I'd been on BC for many years, but so far I'm not too happy with this one, especially when it is supposed to be very much like the Minestrin. Month one, I had bloating and breast pains, month two, I was getting headaches about every other day (not migraines, just annoying). I've learned to give a change of BC 3-4 months before deciding. I've had less headaches this month, but I've still had more than I ever had with Minestrin. Periods are very light and are lasting only a day or so. I got a discount card from my doctor to help pay for this prescription, FYI saving me about $200."

For Birth Control "I’ve been taking this medicine for not even a full 2 weeks, and I’ve experienced terrible issues. This is my first birth control I have ever been on, and if I could give this product a 0 rating, I would. I’ve experienced extreme nausea, I’ve even thrown up a few times, bad headaches, mood swings, etc. As soon as I stopped taking the medicine, I threw up that night. It is now the next morning, and I feel better than when I was on it. Would not recommend to anyone!!!"

For Birth Control "I am getting married! I am very self-conscious of weight gain, side effects, and making sure everything falls into place. I have no need to take the pill until a month from my wedding, but I thought: I’m introducing hormones into my body; I know I will have side effects. How I handled taking it: 1. I take it at night before I sleep (I still feel side effects because it happens). 2. I drink water. 3. I keep a diary!!! My entry of the first seven pills: I started taking Taytulla on June 17th. The most common side effect I had was headaches. I had a little nausea; I noticed after my fifth pill I did have ovary pain. I didn’t gain weight during the first week - I lost weight because I’m trying to! I went down two healthy pounds! My first week was a success! Today I began my second week of Taytulla. I still have my diary of small entries of how I react, so I plan to continue this so I can update you! My measurements are 29”-26”-34” for reference and my weight is 113!"

For Birth Control "I’ve been on Taytulla for about a month now, and at the beginning, I experienced headaches, but they have gone away. I have been having a lot of bad period-like cramps, very bad mood swings, and vaginal dryness. The pill has worked as far as keeping me from getting pregnant, but I really can’t handle the side effects."

For Birth Control "This birth control gave me severe anxiety and depression. I never had either, and after 4 months of taking this pill, I got diagnosed as clinically depressed. I was dissociating and had memory/concentration problems, chest tightness, shortness of breath, stomach discomfort, and headaches. I never missed a pill, and I took it precisely on time every single day, but I still reacted terribly. I have been off this pill since August 2017, and it took a few months for me to feel like myself again. I do not recommend Taytulla to any person who already has symptoms of depression and/or anxiety. (Background info: I have been a vegetarian for 10 years, so I'm not sure if that had any impact on how this pill affected me, but if you follow that lifestyle, you may want to communicate it to your doctor.) On the other hand, it cleared my acne after 3 months (the first 2 months of taking it, my skin was terrible and broken out), and it did shorten my period to about 4 days."

For Birth Control "I like the fact that it was effective as birth control, and I had no period while I was on it. I also had terrible back acne. Immediately after starting Taytulla, it went away. There were a few bad side effects. I was waking up nearly every day with horrible headaches. I rarely wanted to have sex with my fiancé (like sex once a month, if that), and I was angry often. After a while, it dawned on me that maybe the lack of sex, headaches, and mood swings may be due to this pill. I wasn’t sure, but with the okay from my husband, I decided to stop taking it. Almost immediately after stopping, I noticed I stopped waking up with headaches, I had sex with my husband three times that week, and I felt happier. Long story short, if you’re single and just looking to cure acne or have lighter periods, then it might be for you. It didn’t have any awful side effects on me, such as blood clots, hair loss, weight gain, or suicidal thoughts. But it had enough negative effects to be irritating."

For Birth Control "I can't even begin to explain what a hell I have been living through from this birth control. One star is too good for Taytulla. I started the pill, and for about three days, I felt amazing. Day four, the nausea started. I woke up day five feeling lightheaded, exhausted, and had nausea. It kept getting worse from these. I developed a feeling of spinning, hot flashes, skin crawling, and the most severe headaches I have ever experienced. The headaches are so bad that my doctor prescribed me migraine meds, and that didn't even touch the pain. I also developed extreme anxiety and have had quite a few moments where I panic and am afraid that I will feel like this for the rest of my life. I took Taytulla for 11 days. I have been off of it for 48 hours with little change in side effects so far. I don't feel spinning as severely, and my skin is no longer crawling. I do feel as though I am floating, my ears are ringing, and my head is absolutely killing me. Hopefully, life will be normal again soon."
