For Dry Skin "I had some really dry skin, and the only lotion I found in my apartment was a new bottle of Dermasil. No idea where it came from, maybe I grabbed it on sale, or a friend might have gotten it for me a while ago, and I never used it. So, I used it, and it made my skin burn. But also, after it dried, all the lotion just like came off my face in little balls. It just dried on my skin, it didn't actually absorb into my skin. I noticed it does this also if I rub it in for too long, which really isn't long enough. It acts more like that white Elmer glue and gets sticky, then turns into boogers rather than absorbing into my skin. So, I thought I would look it up to see how bad it is, but a lot of places give it a so-so review, so I don't know, this stuff is pretty bad."

For Dry Skin "Wish I had found this page before I bought and used CeraVe moisturizer (ha!) cleanser. Three days in, my entire face is bright red, peeling around eyebrows especially. Three weeks of burning, itching skin. Finally, skin is calming down, from now on, water and no chemicals ever again. Rating 00000000000."

For Dry Skin "I would give this negative numbers if I could. I used the strawberry coconut on Saturday several times. In a few hours, my lips were on fire, swollen, and hurt greatly. It's Monday and I'm miserable. I have a red dye allergy which was not listed on the package."

For Vaginal Dryness "Avoid this stuff at all costs! I was looking for something to help with dryness and burning caused by perimenopause. I used this twice and had a lot of watery discharge at first. I had sex the following day, and afterwards I had brown discharge. I had to insert and remove 3 tampons in a row to pull this stuff out, adding to the discomfort. I then started to get greyish discharge with black specks, burning, and cystitis feelings. I feel right back to square 1 with my symptoms, which were improving with Vagifem. I’m terrified about what I’ve done to my insides!"

For Vaginal Dryness "My doctor recommended Replens, as I am suffering from severe vaginal dryness. I used my first applicator when I went to bed. Burning and itching immediately started, and it was so uncomfortable I did not sleep all night. In the morning, I had backache, nausea, and low-grade fever. I will not be using the product again."

For Dry Skin "I started using the Blistex Fruit Smoothies Strawberry Coconut as well. Noticed itchy bumps around my lips, then they swelled. I immediately washed it off and took an antihistamine. Hope it works out for me. Right this minute, my lips are on fire."

For Dry Skin "A couple of weeks ago, I used a brand new Blistex Fruit Smoothies Strawberry Coconut chapstick. I noticed that my lips started to swell and become scaly, red, and bumpy. I didn’t know what it was, so I went to the pharmacist, who told me it was an allergic reaction. It looked like I had red bumps all around the outer ring as if I had lip injections. It finally calmed down with antihistamines after several days. Then last week, I used the Blistex again, and my lips literally doubled in size and were burning, itching, scaly, and bumpy within hours. I even had difficulty breathing and a tingly throat. I took antihistamines and immediately phoned the doctor. The only change I had was the Blistex, so I went online and found dozens of other similar experiences with this horrible product. I cannot understand how this is on the market, especially since reactions can become worse over time. Absolutely terrible product."

For Dry Skin "I bought CeraVe when my face became extremely dry and was peeling. My pediatrician said it was a really good moisturizer. I bought the AM with sunscreen since I have been in the sun more and PM, both for normal to dry skin when what I really need is extra dry skin. The PM burned so bad I couldn't use it. The AM only burned slightly but really didn't seem to do enough, I still use it as a daily sunscreen, but I layer it over a skin vitamin serum and under lanolin for extremely dry skin. I won't ever buy CeraVe again."

For Dry Skin "Within seconds after applying this cream to my face, it became totally inflamed and red, with a burning sensation. After about a minute, thinking it would go away-which it didn't-I splashed cold water over my entire face for about 2-3 minutes. This relieved the burning a bit, but my skin is burnt! This should not be on the market or advertised as a skin cream! I will be calling my doctor when the office opens at 8:00 a.m."

For Dry Skin "Applied like a regular hand cream, within a minute my hands were red and swollen and burning. I washed/ran my hands under cold water, it's slowly getting better, but I'm throwing this cream in the trash. Shame too because I paid 10 bucks for a tiny little bottle."

For Dry Skin "Applied to dry lips 3 times throughout the day and woke up to blisters on my lips. Tongue and lips were burning and swollen. For 2 days, I could not eat and took Benadryl for the allergic reaction. Looks like we need to check side effects before using any over-the-counter medications."

"I used this bar of soap in the hotel to wash my face. Within seconds, my face started to burn and swell. My cheeks turned red and purple. Eyes were puffy, as were lips. I took a Benadryl tablet, and after about 2 hours, the swelling started to go down. Some swelling and redness the next day, but much better than it was."

For Vaginal Dryness "I’ve tried before, didn’t connect the burning with the product until this time. After the third application, I felt a burn coming on, and over an hour or so got so intense I felt like I had to give birth to a ball of acid. It hurt to urinate like a severe UTI. I have chills and feel like my bladder is spasming. I know it’s not a UTI because I checked my urine. This stuff also, I think, mixes with the normal vaginal secretions and is causing the white clumps that feel like grit almost. I’m not sure if this is an allergic reaction or what, but I wouldn’t wish this burning UTI pain on my worst enemy. I’m not sure that using any vaginal gel, cream, etc., is healthy as I can see how it would cause a UTI or worse. What’s even worse, a NP told me to use it."

For Vaginal Dryness "I have persevered with Replens pessaries on and off since menopause for over 5 years. It burns like crazy initially, and the pessaries scrape the skin going in. Very painful. This then turns to constant itching. There is momentary relief, having that feeling of lubrication, but by the next day, it has all fallen out, and back to square one again. The pain of insertion puts me off using it as it gives me urinary infections. I've been to about 6 different consultants who said there was nothing wrong with me, and I just didn't know where to turn. I have had no relief for nearly 6 years. Going to the toilet is painful, and sex is completely out the window."

For Vaginal Dryness "I get intense burning from the usage of Replens and bad cramps. My cramps aren't uterine because I had a hysterectomy years ago, so I know these cramps are actually from the burning inside my vagina, which mimics period cramps. These symptoms aren't something someone would expect from a product that is supposed to be helpful. It doesn't work well for my vaginal dryness either. I'm throwing the rest of the box out, which makes me mad because it's way overpriced. I don't trust this product."

For Dry Skin "I used this for a facial scar from a curling iron burn. The first time I used it, my face turned all red, but I wasn't sure it was the cause. So I waited about 2 weeks and tried again. The reaction was so much worse. My face was bright red and burning. The next morning, swelling on that side of my face. A day later, all the skin started peeling. I never had one, but I would explain it like an acid peel. My face peeled for more than a week. Into the trash."

For Dry Skin "2 times now. Each time, had washed face and used toner (different toner and soap each time, and a moisturizer used for years). I avoided the area from nose to chin around lips with toner. Applied the chapstick as moisturizer. Within an hour of applying Strawberry Coconut Smoothie, my lips burned as if I had eaten something spicy. By 4 hours, lips swollen, corners starting to split, redness 1/4 inch around lips. Each time, at the start of irritation, rinsed every couple of hours, lips under cool water from faucet. 2nd day: blisters around inside of lips and they were swollen and burning, dry. The first time, used a mix of refrigerated honey, snail mucin, and aloe vera in a compress of medical gauze - then as dressing as needed to keep lips from drying. Day 3: swollen, burning, skin breaking and raw around edges. Rinsing and plain Aquaphor gel. Antihistamine not helping. Bumps and itching under bottom lip to where chin starts."

For Dry Skin "I get awfully dry skin in winter living in the northeast. I bought a travel size of the Gold Bond Ultimate Healing lotion. I use it on the tops of my hands as they’re extra chapped and cracked this year also due to increased hand washing. I felt some stinging and burning when first applied because my hands were so dry and cracked. On day three, it seems significantly better. I am disappointed, though, to find out that the lotion contains parabens. That ingredient makes me not want to use it anymore."
