For Sjogren's Syndrome "I started using cevimeline in February. I took 3 capsules a day. I had absolutely no saliva. I had lost 25 pounds because I couldn’t swallow solid food. This was working slowly for me, but after 4 months, my mouth started becoming more consistently moist. I then got down to 1 capsule per day because of possible side effects, plus it was working well. About a month later, I developed facial numbness, pins and needles, and a lot of facial pain. A neurologist called it idiopathic neuralgia. A rheumatologist didn’t think it was the medicine. I believe it is. Every time I try to get off of it, my symptoms start to subside, but I can’t stop taking it for more than 4 days because of unbelievable dryness in my mouth. Very debilitating. I’m disappointed to say the least because it was working. Now what do I do?"

Cevimeline for Sjogren's Syndrome "This drug is a lifesaver for me. I have been taking it for a long time. Before taking it, I was literally choking and gagging from dryness in my throat with eye watering. I was miserable. I had sweats like some were saying, so I cut back from three times a day to twice a day, and it did the trick. I just need to drink a bit more water."

For Sjogren's Syndrome "Been on this drug over 10 years. I have severe Sjögren's syndrome with dry mouth and horrific dry eyes. I now live in Spain, and I can't get it here! I can't get it in Portugal or the UK either. I'm devastated. I can't just hop on a plane to the USA every 3 months to buy it there. I may have to give up my dream of retiring here because this drug is not approved here."

"I have only taken it for about 3 weeks and can tell it is helping tremendously. I'm taking one 30 mg capsule at bedtime. The dry mouth I experience during the day I can deal with. I found this drug on my own; dentist was no help and neither was my doc. I had at least 10 pinhole cavities along the gum line of my lower teeth and dry throat so I had to be careful when eating. The only side effect so far has been a few hot flashes. Definitely recommend."

Cevimeline for Sjogren's Syndrome "- Made my hand shake, extreme sweating - I gave it plenty of time to level out for me - hard to concentrate & made me think my fibromyalgia was worse than it was - mentally."

For Sjogren's Syndrome "I've taken this drug for almost a year. The only thing I've found to give real relief. No side effects so far. I am looking for a discount as I recently lost my work-provided insurance."

For Sjogren's Syndrome "It's a huge relief for dry mouth and seems to help dry eyes a bit. Drawback for me - it's very nauseating, so I need to take another medicine to offset the nausea."

For Sjogren's Syndrome "I love this medicine. Started working the same day that I started taking it. I have been on it for years. I am finding that the generic version is not as strong as the name brand. I was cavity-free for years, but after I switched to generic, I am having dental issues again. Also, the dry eye is coming back."
