I am on Zoloft for years always worked well and right now Xanax for extreme panic attacks that started up after a very stressful time in my life Dr added BuSpar I am starting slow 5 mg and will increase if necessary does anyone have any positive results for me please no negatives I couldn’t handle it

Everybody responds differently but I've been taking buspirone (BuSpar) for about four years now and it works exceptionally well for me. My anxiety/panic used to be so severe that I couldn't even leave the house, much less drive or go to social events.
It does not work quickly... it takes about a month to feel the full effect of the medication. It doesn't control immediate symptoms because it isn't a sedative like Xanax. It corrects the root causes and ultimately prevents the anxiety/panic attacks.
That all being said I think it's worth a try... it's safer and not addictive like the benzodiazepines.

I can’t thank you enough for your positive response it gives me hope yes where you were is where I am now can’t seem to do anything much but walk and possibly go to the food store Cannot socialize feeling this way but I am praying that in a month I will feel better I will let you know how it goes and again thank you you are a very positive person and I so enjoy listening to your responses.

I'm just the opposite... I rarely have any side effects from my medications. I'm highly resistant to most drugs so I usually end up taking the maximum dosages. I'm up to 60mg/day but most people take much lass than that.
