Why are you turning to drugs? The itchy skin is probably an intolerance to something you are eating. Anything from wheat, to sulphites. Please dont take drugs other than a last resort, you are adding to the list of chemicals your body has to try and eliminate. I am a naturopath, trust me
try to detox or deworm your tummy.that can also means u have parasites on your gut
Change laundry detergent to Dreft. It works!
Hello every I am new in this site.please I need help can any one tell me what is the course of itching pain in the body.some tims I do feel some iching pain in my body
I had the same problem... Awful, baths nightly in aveno.. I learned it was stress. During the day our body is working very hard it is in full force, stress shows in a number of ways. I learned that my stress came in the form of a rash, it was able to surface once my body was more relaxed- not fighting/flighting anymore. It was miserable... Eventually it resolved itself and occasionally still pops up, but I try to ease myself through the day and if I have to handle it- an aveno bath, benedryl and work to keep my stress levels down. Our bodies respond and cope in amazing ways...
Laundry detergent!
Time to head to the doctor for answers!

Hi All, been following this question. i also have same issue for 3 months now. I feel scratchy throughout the day & night. More at places where skin touch each other. I get bumps if I scratch.
Went to doc he gave loads of medicine but doesn't say the cause so I don't want to be part of trial and error method. Initially it was mild now it has increased a lot & i feel extreme scratchy. I am unable to control in public place as well.
Suggest any tests that i could take to know what is the issue? Any temporary ointment/medicine with no side effect?
Any natural remedy?Please help.
I have the same problem by the moment, have you got the solution??
I have had same problem and my doctor Is testing me for lymphoma and liver disease, because it is not a skin disease. Cortisone cream helped some at first. I would ask your doctor to test you for these. Good luck!

I have this problem too, but usually at night after I get into bed. I take many medications, and each one of them has itching as side effect listed. I've found that taking a couple benedryl at bedtime helps me a lot. I stop itching, and it makes me sleepy, so it's a double blessing.
Another thing that can cause itching, especially for those who have sensitive skin, is using fancy shampoos in the shower. Many of these are aromatic, and have oils added for that purpose. While I'd love to be able to use them, I just can't. When you wash your hair in the shower, and add conditioner as well, they can cause the entire body to itch. I have to use a basic shampoo, and I usually wash my hair at the sink instead of the shower just to be sure it's not getting all over my body.
Trazadone and norco made me not only itch from head to toe, but also have bouts of sweating, during the day, but terrible at night. Good luck !

I used to take Norco I had surgery on my left foot Achilles one week later I broke my right ankle so two weeks later I had another surgery, the itch started while I was still taking the Norco, I thought I was going through an allergic reaction my Dr though not, I been off the Norco for couple of weeks now I still itch but I have lots of body stiffness also and restless legs, when the itch is in my vaginal area it send spasms to my foot and I'm still recovering from the right foot ankle, I'm taking ex rays of my neck, back and knees, I'm really worry.
I've just started itching all over my body for a or so ,I've not got a clue why ? Anybody got any ideas why
keep a bottle with drinking water in fridge and spray the spot where it is itching. A temporary solution!
There is no cure for neuropathic itching.Try to live with it by engaging mind elsewhere immediately. I am suffering since more than one year I have tried almost all things. AMERICA HAS BEEN DEFEATED. PHARMACEUTICAL COMPSNIES HAVE FAILED to take the challenge. .Try to live with it. At night sea movies and sleep during day if you are retired like me.
This happened to my teenage daughter. We had her tested for allergies. Nothing other than dust mites. We thought it was something she would have to live with. Then my younger daughter got it about 2 months later. Then my husband and I got it. We went to the dermatologist and she suspected scabies. Don't know where we picked it all up but it does spread among family members. We are currently on the medication, but they say it can be a month before all the itching goes away. Itching was bad all the time but mostly at night. My daughters had it mostly on their hands and legs. I had it on legs and around the belt line and thighs.
I've had the same problem for 5 months now. My Dr. has done several blood tests and tried various meds on me. No luck :/ I find relief when I take Hydroxz Pam 25mg caps and rub Permethrin cream 5% or Benadryl ointment all over my body. Sometimes in my sleep, when I'm sedated, I scratch so hard I tear my own skin. My scalp, face, neck, back, arms, hands, legs, thighs, feet and breasts itch a lot. :/ :(
I completely understand this problem. I have itched only at night for years. I was once told by my doctor that my body was producing to many Histamines ( I have Hyper-Histamines) and to take a Anti-Histamine like Benadryl. I take 25 tp 50 mg at night if I start to itch. It helps. Histamines is what runs to the surface if we get slapped on the arm. Seen how the skin raises into a welp ? or a bee sting raises to a whelp? Sleep in something that will not agitate the skin. once you start itching in one spot then you itch all over. Warning... The same doc told me not to take it every night cause the Benadryl can contribute to RLS ( Restless Legs) Now imagine itching with restless legs lol yeah. So what works for me is to take it for like 3 days then take a few days off. If the itching is really bad I may take for a week before my body calms down on its on and I may be okay for a few weeks to a month before starting all over.
I have scoured the internet for years and just found ??? I do not take meds, I do not change laundry soap, bath soaps etc. DO NOT use Fabreeze on your sheets and blankets it will cause itching, If you want more answers just email me. Hope this info helps BTY my bloodwork is beautifully perfect :-) I am 45 dealing with this since in 20s more info read how people break out in hives on their face, its the same thing.
