When will it kick in? I’ve been on 20 mg of Prozac for 12 days and I’m still very anxious! I’m so worried I’m not getting better and it’s just making me worse! It’s so hard to wait! I feel so hopeless.

Answers
Don't feel hopeless, it doesn't help you, maintain a positive attitude and be patient.
Having said that, Prozac (fluoxetine) as any medication, this being an antidepressant of the SSRIs family in most patients it takes about 2 weeks to feel some improvement. The drug has to build up in your system and it takes a bit of time, as I mentioned.
For the antidepressant to fully reach its therapeutic effect and start giving you relief it may take 6 to 8 weeks in most patients as everyone reacts differently to medications and for some people it may take less or more time, so patience is crucial, important not to get anxious, and you will get better.
