Hello dbrennan. No need to comment or answer this, I was on zoloft some time ago. and as Delila, said, most often, in regards to our meds, its simply what you're most comfortable with, you know time of day, schedules and so forth. I took mine, meaning zoloft, in the morning. It was troublesome to take at night because more often than not, kept me up at night. I'm an insomniac. I also felt tired, more fatique, and that was why I stopped it. Otherwise, it was a comfortable drug to be on. The side effects are generally minimal. I know that the half-life, in zoloft is fairly quick. Well, went on a bit, ha! Just thought to share that. Best of wishes to you.
Hi, to some extent the time of day you take a/d drugs is down to personal preference. Try taking it at night and see how you feel. I take 2 different anti-depressants, one in the morning and one in the evening before bed as that one makes me sleepy. Give it a go for a few days/a week. How long have you been on the zoloft?
thanks been taking for 10 days only
OK, so the chances are that when you stabilise on your meds (usually around 4 weeks) you may have left those side effects behind. When i started on my a/d meds it took 4 weeks for the good to outweigh the bad. I hope you are soon feeling better and that taking your meds at night helps you out.
exactly what I said , hun it will take a while for your body to adjust but if its still bad after a month give the doc a visit for something new
Hi thanks to all for your suggestions and support . Have tried taking in evening past two days and feeling brighter during day but tending to wake 0200hrs and trouble sleeping!! Will persevere for a while may be just adjusting to medication. Thanks again Dom
Good answer Delila!
only a couple of days-25 mg also taking lorazepam .5
I have to take it 3 times a day. After a few weeks you will stabilize and feel normal again. Good luck and take care
I was on Zoloft for 9 years. The withdrawls from going off this medication made me realize how damaging it has been to take it. Good luck!
