erectile dysfunction and can it be used along with an anti-depressant? I have a son who is emotionally immature and lives in a fantasy world sexually. It has been suggested he receive depo-provera. He is also on an anti-depressant. I wonder... if the depo-provera causes erectile dysfunction wouldn't that cause more depression/problems? Don't need more problems...
As I said, his world is nothing but masturbation/fantasy.
Please, if anyone can answer or tell me where I can find answers to this I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you!
When a man uses depo-provera does it cause?

Chemical castration (as it is referred to in males) by using Depo-provera lowers testosterone and reduces sex drive. Males can have sexual intercourse but do not want to. It also discourages sexual fantasies and eradicates sexual obsessions.
Mood changes and depression are reported side-effects of depo-provera. However not everyone experiences side-effects and you will not know how it affects your son until you have tried.
All the best.
