last? On Librax 20+ years. Neurological symptoms present for that long: balance unsteady with multiple falls, trembling, memory loss, dry mouth, skin, hair. Multiple neuro workups with no definitive diagnosis, "Neurological syndrome of undetermined origin". Just stopped Librax after 2 week tapering off, on my own. Now having, nausea, weakness, memory problems worse and some confusion. Other symptoms seem better.

Maryann,
Librax contains 2 different medications both of which commonly produce withdrawal symtoms when stopped without a proper tapering-off period. First is Chlordiazepoxide/Librium which is a benzodiazepine tranquilizer and can produce some nasty withdrawals including most of the ones you named. Second is Clidinium Bromide which is an anticholinergic which in the case of Librax stops involuntary muscle movements..This class of drug also produces some highly unpleasant withdrawal symptoms (weakness, lack of coordination, confusion)... So to answer your question, yes the symptoms you are having fall perfectly in line with Librax withdrawal but shouldn't be that pronounced after 2 weeks of tapering off. 20+ years on a benzodiazepine though, anything is possible. If you can think of any other information or have other questions, feel free to message me, hope you feel better. Colin Zimmermann
I was on Librax for about a year and recently tapered myself off, going from 1 pill per day, then taking 1 pill every other day for 2 weeks, then stopping completely. It's been about 3 weeks since I stopped it completely. At first I had nausea and bloating in my stomach, which is not as bad now. About two weeks after stopping I began to experience (and am still experiencing) dizziness, migraines, lack of coordination, sensitivity to light and loud sounds, memory loss, anxiety, insomnia, and occasional chest pain, all of which I did not experience prior to taking Librax. My professional opinion would be that the withdrawal symptoms should be gone within 4-6 weeks after stopping the medication. I'm hoping for the best!
