It's difficult to predict what will happen to you.
Some patients find that side effects go away during treatment as their body adjusts to the medicine while others find that side effects remain.
Talk with your doctor if the insomnia is intolerable.
Thank you!!
MY daughter has been taking this medication for the past three weeks.

Hello J and welcome to the forum. Wellbutrin is widely prescribed as it has relatively few lasting side effects and is effective for many people. With that said, insomnia can be a deal breaker for me. This should resolve for you very soon. My Dr prescribed a very small dose of Clonazepam for my sleeplessness and this helped tremendously, and gave me support so that the Wellbutrin could do its work. I hope it likewise helps you.

Frenchie
Very helpful and encouraging Frenchie! Just one question... how long did you have to take the clonazepam before able to sleep without it?
Thank you... J
I have been taking a low dose of Nortiptylene (in the early evenings) for about 10 years to raise my threshold for headaches and to help with sleep. 5 Days ago I asked my doctor about adding Wellbutrin in the mornings since I can't seem to shake this overall feeling of depression (although, functioning fairly well). Since taking the Wellbutrin, I just noticed symptoms of a bladder irritation and pain. I already drink a fair amount of water but have increased liquids. Does anyone know if the bladder symptoms will subside? If not, I'll be getting off Wellbutrin. Thank you!
