Hello farshad040, I also take these two meds and the only two sides effects I have gotten was a little weight gain from the abilify and insomnia from the Wellbutrin.
what do you take them for?? do they work well?
I take the Wellbutrin for major depression and the abilify as an add-on to help the antidepressant work better, all in all they work pretty well. I don't like the weight gain associated with the abilify because I am already overweight, but Wellbutrin is known for weight loss and is helping me lose weight and decreases my appetite.
I have taken both. I had Wellbutrin years ago and it was great for depression and energy. I take Abilify currently to augment the antidepressant effect of Prozac. It has helped. As far as social anxiety, one of the SSRI's such as Zoloft, Paxil, Lexapro, etc. or Effexor would probably be more effective from my own experience and from what I've read. I felt the best in terms of both depression and anxiety on the combination of Lexapro with Wellbutrin. Abilify may help your antidepressant work better and may help anxiety, but again SSRI's or Effexor are first line for social anxiety.
did they cause any anger problems? I read that some people got that side effect from the meds.
No, these medicines actually calmed me down. Things that used to anger me seem to not bother me now. I suppose that some people have the opposite reaction, but it's much more common for anxiety and hostility to be reduced.
