Don't go off on your own. You need to see a specialized doctor to go over this; a general GP isn't going to know. They might even do testing again. I have been on for over a year now... and i want to be off them too but now I probably have 6-12 months still to go; my blood is still not cooperating and wants to clot. This process can sometimes take longer than anticipated. I wish you luck!
Hello! Do not stop taking it without your doctors OK. If your GP doesn't know you may want to consider finding another doctor. It can be dangerous just to stop taking it. I went off it for 3 days to have a small procedure done and I started to feel my heart skip a beat every few minutes. Please find a PCP that is more knowledgeable with this issue. Best of luck to you.
