They don't tell you when you start taking it that you can't stop or you'll end up in a psyche ward
Looking for the best way to wean off abilify, if anyone knows what will help the wean down?

I also take abilify, and had no idea... it was the only med that I take that I didn't research the dependency issues, and was more concerned with the stats regarding TD. Interesting, and glad that you posted this question!
it's my wife who takes it and man when she stops it's something else, trying to ween down now she wants off it and it's been stressful in some areas. I'll keep ya posted but so far the weening down has been better than just stopping it suddenly. I'm trying to get off effexor and it has it's own withdrawl that messes me up. Pill helped me through some rough times and now i try to stop it and i can't cause i own my own business and have to work. crazy stuff people. Crazy stuff.
I'm on it also. The way I'm getting off it is "lots of sleep." Also reducing any pain or stress. (Seeing a chiropractor.) In a months time I'm down from 2.5mg day to 1mg a day. Do it slowly! The most powerful med I've bee on!
