... to but like twice a month and I get one every time and they are very painful :( is there something we can do to prevent these?
Is it cystitis? I often get that from intercourse, because the bladder can get bruised from being bashed around a bit.
You can get sachets of Cystopurin from the pharmacist or even in some supermarkets, & mix one in a drink when you feel yourself starting to get a bout of cystitis. Cranberry juice can also help symptoms.
Another thing that can help, is to change the position you tend to have sex in, & also for your partner to be more gentle when you are using a sexual position that causes him to be angled towards your bladder.
Hope that helps
I had to make an account and respond to this question because this was literally my life. I was starting to not to want to have sex with my boyfriend. But, after researching and looking at blogs I discovered D-Mannose. If you take it daily and 2 right before and after sex..it'll change your life. I was starting to get one the other day and it literally went away throughout the course of the day. I have cranberry and d-mannose by GNC but I've heard straight mannose pills are better. I was going to get antibiotics all the time and this really helped. I hope it helps someone else! :)
UTIs after sex have been a massive problem for me, I've had dozens over the last ten years including getting them while travelling in non-English speaking countries. They have made me cry, made me avoid sex, and my boyfriend felt like he was responsible for me getting sick. I have been on antibiotics for UTIs numerous times.
I now prevent them successfully by taking cranberry supplements. I buy the highest dose capsules from the supermarket and take two after sex with a big glass of water (I also pee right after sex and usually shower before and after sex).
Hope this helps xx
Hi, I register so I can tell you guys my experience which solve my problem. I don't see any post which mention this. My wife always have bladder infection or kidney infection after we do the deed. Found out I have GUM DISEASE!!! You will never know until you see your dentist. After I got that fix, my wife never have UTI again!!! It makes perfect sense too, bacteria goes from the mouth to the v##ina. She never had UTI before when I went to the dentist frequently, but then I stop going because I didn't have benefit, now I start to go again. Make sure your husband or BF don't have GUM DISEASE!!! Hope that helps
