The patches have been stored in a cool dark place. I want to use these large patches on my lower back for a temporary pain.
Unopened lidocaine patches. How long after expiry are they still effective?

Hi! I was told 6 months after the expiration date. I tried to use some a year after the date and they wouldn't even stick to me. I've been told most meds start to lose their potency after 6 months. I throw out meds once they get that old. I don't trust them. They're chemicals and who knows what kinds of changes they can start to go through after the expiration date. Just my opinion as to what I do with my old meds.
