I just got my wisdom teeth out about 10 hours ago, and I was prescribed Ibuprofen and Tylenol #3. I am currently taking two Tylenol #3s for pain, but I was wondering if I could take one 200 mg Advil Ibuprofen liquid gels with the Tylenol #3s for swelling. Would I have any adverse effects from mixing the two?
Can I take two Tylenol#3s and one 200mg Advil Ibuprofen at the same time after wisdom teeth surgery?

Hi T,
My daughter just got her wisdom teeth extracted also. They said she could alternate every 2 hours between the rx pain med and Advil. So it shouldn't be a problem. What I did with her was give her the rx and if she was still hurting an hour or two later give her the Advil. She had hers out about 5 days ago and she's doing great now. You will be feeling better before you know it. Hope this helps. Best wishes.

Perfect! Thanks so much I will definitely be taking your advice! :)
Oh and two more things.
1) Ice packs on the swollen areas for the first couple of days really helps with the swelling. The third day you can switch to warm moist heat.
2) Sleep on two pillows to keep you head elevated for 48-72 hours.
These two things really help with the swelling and if you will rinse with warm salt water several times a day it helps heal faster.
Good luck sweetie!!
Perfect! Great advice, I would have never known! Thanks again!
