I started taking Trintellix 20 mg 3 weeks ago. My doctor instructed me to take it in the morning but I found no benefit for taking it in the am so I switched to taking it at night. I have yet to feel any benefit of taking it at all. I see my doctor again in a week... Should I request the dosage to be upped to 40mg and what is the highest dosage for Trintellix?
For Trintellix to be most effective, should I take it in the morning or at night?

vhveme; really sounds like your doing pretty good 20mg is the maximum dose in some cases they may nudge it up a little so it would not hurt to ask and just take it at the same time each day without regards to meals, But check it out with your doctor again and explain that with each dose change you have noticed no changes and see what the doctor has to say about it. Good luck to you. and Happy new year.
vhveme; Now I really don't see where they use any more than 20mg per day so you may make sure to tell the doctor you can't even tell you're taking anything and get something else. See what doc has to say about it. good luck. Chuck957
Thank you Chuck. I have heard a lot of good things about Trintellix so I hate to give up on it. I made a mistake in my original post... I'm taking 10mg not 20mg so maybe the doctor can up me to 20mg and that will help... Thanks again!
Vhveme; good about the dose that should get you feeling much better once you get through the side effects but it did not seem to bother you too much but it is worth it to put up with them when it is only a couple weeks compared to a lifetime of this junk. Hope it all works out for you
Thank u Chuck!
Have u found any info of what time of day is best to take it for it to be most effective... am or pm?
THIS IS ALL I SEE AND IT IS NOTHING IT'S MORE LIKE TAKE IT ABOUT THE SAME TIME EACH DAY BE IT MORNING OR EVENING. AS LONG AS THERE WORKING DON'T WORRY.ON THIS ONE. CHUCK1957
