Seems obvious maybe you shouldn't be taking this stuff? Is it prescribed? If so, you should discuss it with the prescribing Dr, if not, and if the source is in question and hopefully you didn't get something other than what you thought you got.
Obviously if you keep throwing up you should get medial help right away. Hope this helps.
drug from CVS store. perscribed by her doctor. its holidy weekend and cant get anyone to talk to. her health ins has a nurse line. yea right. 7 calls later and cant even find out if she is covered IF she goes to er. she hasnt vomited since 3 am and has had some mataz ball soup and toast. things r looking up.
ER if necessary. Hope this clears up quickly.
My VA doctor prescribes 50mg Tramadol for my shoulder arthritis pain, but to be taken only once a day and every-other day. The arthritis pain came after my rotator cuff surgery recovery. Anyway, she told me that I could cut the tablet in half and see how 25mg will work on the pain. Haven't done that yet, but seriously thinking about it.
Vomiting is listed as a serious side effect to Tramadol. Please go to the nearest emergency room right away. I am giving you a link to read about his drug. Vomiting is a serious side effect. Please, do not ignore this warning. Hope you are better now, but do not take this lightly, & do not take more until you have been evaluated, or talk with your doctor. Hope this helps... Mary

thanks. it was not the time release pill. she was fine after taking half 25MG. 6 hours later she took the a whole pill 50 MG and a few hours later the vomiting started. lasted for 10 hours about every 20 to 30 minutes. we finally got to sleep at 4 am. she has been ok since 3 am with no vomiting. WOW what a mess, poor girl has her period too. it did completly remove the pain in her lower back. but this is insane and she wont take it .
you think its ok for her to eat?
If she didn't start vomiting until 5 hrs after she took I doubt it was caused by the tramadol. She should do a light breakfast, such as tea and toast.
yes the first pill 25MG she was fine. then after 6 hours she took the second 50 MG and an hour after that it started.
I still contend that vomiting is a serious side effect. Why would you give her more before speaking with a doctor? If the pain is bad give her Advil for her period & back ache.
You should never break these in half since if their extended release it's releasing all the drug at once and could cause an overdose. I would contact your doctor, pharmacist or some other health care professional at once. In the mean time keep yourself hydrated. Is someone else with you to watch over you? Please be careful & take care. Kim.
I took Tramadol and was sick at my sick but read where if you stay still and not move your head for about 30-45 min., you will not be sick... it worked BUT, I itched so bad and broke out in little ant bite looking places, even in my hair..so doctor said to stop immediately and I took a Benadryl to help also. Sad because it was helping my pain from a tooth that was effecting my jaw... had a level 10 pain and I can handle a lot of pain...
