No, tramadol is not intended to be used for the common cold. Despite general aches and pains that may occur from the common cold, it's not intended for colds.
Tramadol is a class lV narcotic prescribed to people who suffer from moderate to severe pain.
If you are suffering from the common cold I would recommend an OTC cold medication or speak with your local pharmacist. Explain to the pharmacist your symptoms and they can point you to the correct OTC cold medication.
