Klonopin manufactured by Teva is no longer available. I spoke with the manufacturer and they said they are now replacing it with Actavis.
My pharmacy replaced Teva with Accord and Accord is not working. I have been on it for a month and it's like taking a sugar pill. It's as effective as Mylan.
What can I take that's similar to Teva? This is awful.

I called Teva Customer Serivce at 800-545-8800 and the customer rep said that they're getting a lot of feedback from customers and they are reconsidering relaunching it and to call back in 60 to 90 days so everyone should call that number 1-800-545-8800 and choose option 3 then option 5 for Customer Service and pleasantly asked them to please restart the formulation. Every call counts. Be nice when you ask. They might just bring it back.

I only found out yesterday that I could no longer get the Teva brand, which has been indicated on all my previous prescriptions, as the only one I take. I had already tried Mylan, did not work. Then I tried Accord brand did not work. Now I only have 2 Teva brand pills left. I took an Accord last night, and I slept terribly. This is awful. They want $200 for a 90 day supply of the name brand. Anyone who suggests that this is a placebo effect is completely wrong. It is comforting to know that others are also experiencing this, but does not resolve the issue. Anyone else found something that works?

Teva has been discontinued. Teva decided to go with a cheaper Chinese company Accord. I have a severe rash on both of my arms due to teva changing to Accord.

I know that activas has taken over their clonazepam tablets. At first, I felt better... then, after a week or so I was having worse effects and withdrawal symptoms than, taking accord. I was switched to diazepam from Teva but, it’s not the same as it used to be. I am on a very high dose I haven’t ever had to be on with diazepam at all. I went to get off diazepam safely IP. They tapered my down less than, five days from 80mg diazepam with Teva ODT I found they still make. At least, one thing came out of a very bad experience. I contacted Teva they had confirmed they still manufacture and their distribution with wholesalers. I was on the ODT in the beginning and changed to the tablets. I know that maybe they don’t last as long I felt like myself again for a few days while I was on them. Even though, the clinician was clueless not all was lost...

Similar to previous posts, I've been taking Teva brand 0.5 mg Clonazepam for 7 years, with excellent results. Upon first receiving and taking the Actavis brand (an hour before bedtime - my normal time for the past 7 years) I noticed a significant difference within the first 30 minutes - a negative difference! This is the only medication I take, period! The norm, for the past 7 years, had been a subtle mellowing out, which led to me falling asleep as soon as my head hit the pillow. The differences I experienced with my first dose of the Actavis brand: Positive - It did not affect my being able to immediately fall asleep. Negative: 1) Unlike the Teva brand, the Actavis brand seemed to bring about slight anxiety, within 25-30 minutes after consumption. 2) Upon awakening, I felt as though (best as I can describe this) my brain was being squeezed.
3) As the day progressed, I realized that my thought processes were compromised/lethargic - something I had not experienced over the past 7 years. 4) A slight - very subtle feeling of depression. I contacted my psychiatrist (at that time, she nor I were aware that Teva brand had been discontinued) to inform her of the changes I was experiencing. She sent a script to the pharmacist requesting Teva brand only. The pharmacist (CVS) did not have Teva brand at their location but was able to find it at another CVS. So, I was able to get back on the Teva brand for two months, and all was back to normal - until I reordered. This was when I was informed that Teva brand had been discontinued. Consequently, at least until my psychiatrist and I can discover another solution, I've been taking the Actavis band for the past 21 days. I was hoping that I would adjust - NOT HAPPENING! For now, the Activas brand is better than nothing - I have always been very adept at self-management of my condition - the added stress of having to exert energy to be more focused and purposefully continuous of managing my triggers would not be necessary if was still taking the Teva brand! Unfortunately, money seems to be the primary and motivating consideration in matters such as this - the integrity of assuring the best interest of our physical and mental health (I hope) is somewhere on the list. I will share updates as changes occur and/or if I receive an alternative treatment that works.

I recently started having what I thought were heart attacks after taking my meds at night, I thought it was my Seroquel or lamictal causing it after your post I am wondering if it’s the Actavis. I never would have considered this since it’s main function is to combat anxiety, I’ve never had a panic attack until I started having these attacks after taking my meds, my heart starts racing so fast that my pulse is fluid and I feel faint like my body doesn’t exist just my head and it feels like the lights are going out, the squeezing sensation you described. I’m fine after an hour but that first hour is hell, feeling like I’m gonna die. The Actavis puts me to sleep, I’ve had to increase the dosage but it doesn’t help with anxiety like Teva did, it doesn’t create a base so I’m struggling day to day. I’ve been on it since June and my life is in limbo right now, I was well and this change has destroyed so much progress.
Good luck to you, hopefully some company will step up and create a product with the same efficacy as Teva.

My pharmacist says we might absorb drugs by different manufacturers differently. Years ago, name brand Klonopin worked for me then Teva brand was fine for several years. I was just prescribed Actavis brand and I feel a difference; I’m not responding to it as well. I will ask my doctor to ask for name brand again since Teva stopped making it.

Have you tried the brand? If so does it work for you? I also tried different generics but Teva was the only one that worked. I only have a couple of weeks left and I’m terrified

I use clonazepam for cervical dystonia. My last prescription was Accord. Doesn't work at all. I'm scared. I hope I can live with the pain without Teva. I noticed the change with all the different manufacturers. The only one that works is klonopin and Teva.

Apart from the inert fillers, they are identical, you are suffering from a reverse placebo effect.

Telling patients that their differential response to generics is "all in their heads" (aka reverse placebo response) is dismissive and, I believe, incorrect. In addition to allergic reactions and sensitivities, the fillers and other "inert" ingredients can impair absorption or cause the medication to be released quickly or slowly. Depending upon what condition you are treating, you might want one or the other. Whereas someone with GAD or PTSD related nightmares might want a slow release tablet, a person who suffers occasional panic attacks needs something fast acting. Wafers that dissolve under the tongue often work well for the latter. Patients are able to take a lower dose to help calm themselves and can then proceed with other soothing/coping strategies they learn in therapy.

On top of that, my doctor informed me yesterday that generic drug manufacturers are only required to be in a RANGE of the mg that is supposed to be in the pill, capsule, etc. I want to say she said that it can be plus or minus (typically minus to save money) 0.3% or 0.5%, and somehow we live in a country where the FDA allows that. There's no one telling the generic makers "Hey, this needs to be 1mg on the dot." So then we as the consumer suffer (especially with any benzodiazepine). I am going through this too. I began receiving Actavis. I thought it was weaker than TEVA, but not NEARLY as bad as this sh*t made by Accord. I just picked it up Sunday, and i have been having benzo withdrawal symptoms since then, so before finding out today that TEVA discontinued it, my doctor wrote me a script specifically stating "TEVA brand only." Since yesterday, everyone has been saying its no longer carried until one pharmacy told me today that they were discontinued.
Then I asked about brand name and they said retail price (my job doesn't offer RX insurance, only the bare minimum) is $220. So I called my doctor about what to do now and I know she mentioned something about Xanax XR in the past, so maybe we can do that. I just know I can't go one more day with this intense anxiety and dizziness. Sorry for the long rant haha.

No way, Teva is hands down a better brand. Now we've got ACCORD, TERRIBLE for those suffering from anxiety /panic attacks. I've taken klonopin then clonazepam for 30 year's. The reason I prefer clonazepam over other's is the improbability of abuse, it's half-life and you don't get a "buzz" after therapeutic levels are reached. I've seen Xanax DESTROY people because of the need for more, the intent on getting high, not likely if using clonazepam. While hospitalized I witnessed a Dr come into psyc ward due to overdose on xanax, she'd forgotten what she'd taken... (not to sure I believe that) Accord generic clons are as stayed a sugar pill. If you NEED meds, you don't abuse them otherwise you're out and dealing with panic or anxiety attacks.

I've taken clonazepam before it became a choice for generic, these are NOT the same. There is a big difference in the ingredients for most. I talked to Teva and they said the ingredients for incivik are considerably different. I've heard they are all the same since medical school however THEY ARE NOT!!! DO YOU NOT SEE ALL THE COMPLAINTS?

You're wrong. For those who take the pills, we can tell how different each brand is. Even my Dr. said they all vary with the actual drug amounts not just fillers.

You’re very wrong. You are absolutely clueless . I was experiencing brain zaps when I was switched to accord . I get brain zap feeling when I’ve missed a doss of my Zoloft or another medicine. So I’m like okay what has changed ? Why am I feeling like I’m not taking my meds when nothing has changed?
THEN, and only THEN, did I realize the only change was the generic klonopin manufacturer. That’s NOT any placebo effect. Sorry but you’re clueless.
