Apart from the inert fillers, they are identical, you are suffering from a reverse placebo effect.

My pharmacist says we might absorb drugs by different manufacturers differently. Years ago, name brand Klonopin worked for me then Teva brand was fine for several years. I was just prescribed Actavis brand and I feel a difference; I’m not responding to it as well. I will ask my doctor to ask for name brand again since Teva stopped making it.

Similar to previous posts, I've been taking Teva brand 0.5 mg Clonazepam for 7 years, with excellent results. Upon first receiving and taking the Actavis brand (an hour before bedtime - my normal time for the past 7 years) I noticed a significant difference within the first 30 minutes - a negative difference! This is the only medication I take, period! The norm, for the past 7 years, had been a subtle mellowing out, which led to me falling asleep as soon as my head hit the pillow. The differences I experienced with my first dose of the Actavis brand: Positive - It did not affect my being able to immediately fall asleep. Negative: 1) Unlike the Teva brand, the Actavis brand seemed to bring about slight anxiety, within 25-30 minutes after consumption. 2) Upon awakening, I felt as though (best as I can describe this) my brain was being squeezed.
3) As the day progressed, I realized that my thought processes were compromised/lethargic - something I had not experienced over the past 7 years. 4) A slight - very subtle feeling of depression. I contacted my psychiatrist (at that time, she nor I were aware that Teva brand had been discontinued) to inform her of the changes I was experiencing. She sent a script to the pharmacist requesting Teva brand only. The pharmacist (CVS) did not have Teva brand at their location but was able to find it at another CVS. So, I was able to get back on the Teva brand for two months, and all was back to normal - until I reordered. This was when I was informed that Teva brand had been discontinued. Consequently, at least until my psychiatrist and I can discover another solution, I've been taking the Actavis band for the past 21 days. I was hoping that I would adjust - NOT HAPPENING! For now, the Activas brand is better than nothing - I have always been very adept at self-management of my condition - the added stress of having to exert energy to be more focused and purposefully continuous of managing my triggers would not be necessary if was still taking the Teva brand! Unfortunately, money seems to be the primary and motivating consideration in matters such as this - the integrity of assuring the best interest of our physical and mental health (I hope) is somewhere on the list. I will share updates as changes occur and/or if I receive an alternative treatment that works.

I know that activas has taken over their clonazepam tablets. At first, I felt better... then, after a week or so I was having worse effects and withdrawal symptoms than, taking accord. I was switched to diazepam from Teva but, it’s not the same as it used to be. I am on a very high dose I haven’t ever had to be on with diazepam at all. I went to get off diazepam safely IP. They tapered my down less than, five days from 80mg diazepam with Teva ODT I found they still make. At least, one thing came out of a very bad experience. I contacted Teva they had confirmed they still manufacture and their distribution with wholesalers. I was on the ODT in the beginning and changed to the tablets. I know that maybe they don’t last as long I felt like myself again for a few days while I was on them. Even though, the clinician was clueless not all was lost...

Teva has been discontinued. Teva decided to go with a cheaper Chinese company Accord. I have a severe rash on both of my arms due to teva changing to Accord.

I only found out yesterday that I could no longer get the Teva brand, which has been indicated on all my previous prescriptions, as the only one I take. I had already tried Mylan, did not work. Then I tried Accord brand did not work. Now I only have 2 Teva brand pills left. I took an Accord last night, and I slept terribly. This is awful. They want $200 for a 90 day supply of the name brand. Anyone who suggests that this is a placebo effect is completely wrong. It is comforting to know that others are also experiencing this, but does not resolve the issue. Anyone else found something that works?

I called Teva Customer Serivce at 800-545-8800 and the customer rep said that they're getting a lot of feedback from customers and they are reconsidering relaunching it and to call back in 60 to 90 days so everyone should call that number 1-800-545-8800 and choose option 3 then option 5 for Customer Service and pleasantly asked them to please restart the formulation. Every call counts. Be nice when you ask. They might just bring it back.

I hope you’re correct about teva brand coming back!!!

I just put in a call to TEVA customer service to try to get the old clonazepam back.
Nothing has worked as well as TEVA for me. Spent $300 for brand name Roche (made in Mexico) and have to take double the dose compared to TEVA with more jitteriness.
Has anyone found something that works? Another benzo? I’d encourage everyone to call TEVA customer service too

Has anyone contacted customer service lately like this week any update on when and If they will be releasing the original formula again they need to hurry up this is crazy
24 Jun 2019
You guys need to keep calling weekly if they are not aware that we are struggling and they might cancel bringing the original formula back. call because they keep pushing the date back TEVA customer service at 888-838-2872 (option #3 then option #5) for customer service to ask them to bring back old formula if they ask you for survey or anything sign up for email notifications or anything, it all helps them to see how many people are really hurting over this awful decision . Last I spoke with a rep was on a Friday and they said i was the third person who they had spoke to all week. To be honest that’s nothing. It’s a three minute call, please just call weekly so we can possibly speed up this process.

Just called the 800 # and the guy said they are bringing it back, but still have no manufacturing date. He told me to call back in a couple of weeks. I had called back in March and they told me 60-90 days. Just wanted to update everyone.

I just called (Aug 6, 2019) and was told it is definitely coming back but the date can't be given out right now. I told him my issues from being off Teva & said Activis and Accord are not the same. He didn't act like I was crazy at all. I think they know. He said that even people on Activis are worried now that their tablets will be discontinued since Teva bought them. I asked why they switched to Activis in the first place & also if the complaints are the reason they are switching back, but I didn't really get an answer to either question.

I just called TEVA USA and left them a voice message because they are closed. I will call everyday. I’ve been on Accord for over a year and it does not provide the results — hece, my Dr. prescribes me 1mg, 90 tablets a month.
