... my appetite, other than getting nauseous quite often. I exercise 4-5 times a week so I'm not sure the Contrave is working for me. Anyone having similar issues?

I’ve been taking contrave for 4 weeks now. I am happy with the results so far. My appetite has decreased and I don’t eat big meals ... I get full after eating 4-5 bites . I’ve increased my water intake, my taste for coffee and some other foods has changed. I did experience some side effects but they are slowly going away. I started at 213lbs, I now am at 194lbs. 19 lbs total after my first bottle. The cost is the only thing that would stop me from taking it!
I don’t think Contrave is an appetite suppressant, it acts more like an appetite enhancer. I think I have added about 4lbs in the last 2 weeks. I exercise 3 times a week and cut 80% of the fat out of my diet what am I doing wrong?
Three weeks in and it's not taking away my appetite the way I thought it would. This is very discouraging and makes me sad.
I have been taking contrave for the 3 weeks, I have not lost, gain or inches. I have been sleeping a lot and drinking a lot of water.
I have been on Contrave for only 4 days and already I'm up 2lbs. Has my appetite decreased? Yes, but apparently not enough to matter. I don't have any other side effects at all but clearly this drug isn't working for me. I'm willing to give it another couple of days but if that scale keeps going up I'm bailing out and going back to Weight Watchers and lose this 30lbs the healthier way. Good luck to you all on your weight loss journeys.
I have been on contrave now going into my 6 the week, I too get nauseous, slightly dizzy at times, also sometimes very nervous feeling like anxiety, however I started at 276 lbs and I am now at 255 lbs, I exercise by walking approx 2 miles a day, and a lot of self control, contrave does help with lowering my appetite, but like I said lots of self control, I'm so tired of the words morbidly obese. I plan on making this work. Give this medication a chance, I have tried several witch doctor plans with no result, this gives me hope, again lots of self control!!!
I have been taking Contrave for 4 weeks. The side effects continue and I'm thinking about stopping. I feel as though I've lost some weight but nothing significant. I don't know if it's worth going through the side effects every day. Thought they'd disappear after week or two.
I'm at week 4, 2 pills am and 2 pills pm - last 3 weeks have been disappointing, no weight loss, change in energy or change in mindset (eating), will give it this week at full dosage and see what happens. Adipex wasn't working for me anymore. 47-5'2-164lbs.
I am near the end of my third week. I haven't seen a difference in my appetite and it seems that I am hungrier than I was before. I also take Adderall 20mg TID which normally lowers my appetite. One would think that after taking both Contrave and Adderall, I wouldn't be hungry for anything but it's been quite the opposite. Before Contrave, I rarely became hungry at lunch time and would eat only breakfast and dinner. After starting Contrave, I have found myself being hungry during lunchtime as well. I will say though, that when I eat, it does not take as much to fill me up as it did when I was taking only Adderall. I didn't eat a huge amount to begin with but now, it takes even less.
Me and been on for 4 weeks. It makes me tired and not wanting to workout. When I was before I started this medication.
I have been on Contrave for 2 weeks and haven't noticed any difference other than constipation. If anything I almost feel hungrier. Don't know what I am going to do. I need something to happen soon.
I have been on the contrave full dose since March 1, and as of today I've only lost 9
I've adjusted my diet but not exercising much due to my gym dislike anymore but also subzero weather. Hang in there for at least another month. Have you measured yourself? You may have lost inches and clothing sizes
I'm heading into my 4th week on Contrave. Very frustrated and actually feeling depressed that no weight loss has occurred. My appetite has decreased significantly and I eat less than 1200 cal p/day. I exercise a few days a week although I will step that up but I'm not convinced it's going to really matter. Restless sleep and extreme constipation are my biggest side effects. Going to do this for another week or two before giving up. So disappointed. Should I even bother to do this anymore??
Don't give up! I didn't have any results until week four. I'm on week seven and lost ten pounds. Everyone reacts differently so if you haven't lost 5% of your weight by week 12 it's not for you
I also took contrave for about 4-5 months. Excercised with a trainer. My trainer was confused as to why I was gaining and not losing. I stopped the contrave and my dr put me back on phentermine 37.5. I've lost weight with the new meds. Also found out I have a thyroid problem. Have that checked. Good luck
I have been on Contrave for 10 weeks and have lost 24-26lbs in that time frame. I have only had restlessness the first 3 weeks and constipation. the scale down program works and my fitness pal.
