My local pharmacy now has Teva brand clonazepam. I have been paying for name brand for years. I’m wondering how I should try to switch. Just switch or just replace a name brand with a Teva? That could take awhile.
Switching from name brand Klonopin to Teva?

"Generic medicines work the same as brand-name medicines
A generic medicine is required to be the same as a brand-name medicine in dosage, safety, effectiveness, strength, stability, and quality, as well as in the way it is taken. Generic medicines also have the same risks and benefits as their brand-name counterparts."

I believe you should not have a problem switching from a brand name medication to a generic one.
"Generic medicines and brand-name medicines share the same active ingredient, but other characteristics, such as colors and flavorings, that do not affect the performance, safety, or effectiveness of the generic medicine, may be different."

A lot of people prefer Teva to a name brand. That said, sometimes mail-order will be able to get u name brand.
I thought Teva from 5 years ago was stronger than Teva today but I still feel its stronger and longer lasting than name brand.
Some ppl would do a split and maybe take half Teva and half brand. I would personally just go to Teva but remember it would take 10 days to 2 weeks to adjust to Teva.
I went from Par to Teva (good switch) but my head was fuzzy for 7 days so try to stick with the switch. Good luck!
PS—hopefully this will go well but try to have a backup plan. Brand name is more $$$ so maybe find a place where u still can get it
