Restasis Questions (Page 3)

Restasis has just been prescribed for me by my ophthalmologist, but my family doctor insists it does

... not work and is against me taking it. I know this is a general question, but does this stuff really help? My severe dry eye has caused corneal abrasions

There are 60 vials in the pack of Restasis I received. Do I use each vial 2 times or one time?

I was instructed to put a drop in each eye, twice a day--once at about 7:30 a.m. and again about 7:30 p.m. Do I use only one vial for both applications, or do I use one vial for the morning application and a second vial for the evening application?

Does Vevye have any preservatives in it? If so what? Also, does Restasis contain preservatives?

My eyes get irritated from preservatives.

How long do you have to use Restasis, or is it a lifetime thing?

Why can't the Restasis vials be used for two days instead of one?

Is it necessary to taper from restasis?

It has been almost 3 days since I used it. My eyes are dry but not as bad. Still have to use tears about 4 times a day and ointment at night. My doctor had said to go to 3 times a day if necessary. Could that have been too much? She is on maternity leave right now: not sure what to do! Thanks

I've been on restasis for several years and it has taken care of my dry eye?

I would like to know if I should stay on this forever or if it is possible after a length of time to quit using.

Restasis - Why do I have to use the vial only one time and discard the rest?

I was told I could refrigerate it and use it next time or even several times.
