How is the best way to stop taking Duloxetine HCL DR 60 MG?

I have been taking this for approximately 5 years. My last visit to my doctor he wrote in my chart to stop taking this medication, but gave no indication as to how to go about this. Cold turkey or just cut back gradually?

Cymbalta - I’ve been on duloxetine for generalized anxiety for 3-1/2 years.

I’ve had the dose decreased slowly and have been on 30mg for two months now. Doctor said I could quit, but I’m afraid I would have anxiety again. I still have several side effects so I’d like to decrease it to 20mg. Do you think this low dose is effective for preventing anxiety?

I think I accidentally took an extra dose of duloxetine 60mgs yesterday should I be worried?

After a bad ATV accident and many months of hospitalization, I have been diagnosed with a Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI). I have been taking gabapentin-some month up to 1800 mgs/day. Will duloxetine work as a better medication for peripheral neuropathy (nerve pain) than gabapentin?
