Hello Pooh Bear. I understand the expense of the advair disc. I had a talk with my doctor and he gave me a bag full of them as samples. I suggest you let your physician know and ask for samples.
As for stopping that would be a bad idea, just as the others say. Not sure what you don't like about it. It is helping you, though you may not feel it, by keeping the inflammation in your lungs from forming. Therefore you will not have frequent attacks of asthma.
Since you have either a cold or the flu, a talk with your Pulmonologist would help to sort this out. May well be a coincidence and has nothing to do with the disc.
Another source is to contact the manufacturer and see what they have for low income. Many companies have free product when low income applicants contact them. This may be your best source.
Please tell me what you don't like about this med. I used for a few months and had no problems except occasional dizzy feelings. So I took it sitting down and waited a few minutes.
Take care. Karen

My husband does not have drug insurance. He found out that for $20 per year he can become a member of their store plan and copays are only $10 per prescription at Walgreens. He just saved $76. Check it out for plans at Target as well.

I understand the expense of Advair. The co pays alone are exhausting my budget. I don't recommend stopping any medication. My Dr has also helped me out with samples. Please talk to your Doctor first.
Take care. Linda

hello Pooh Bear101 In my opinion, and this is only mine, u should never stop any medication without talking to your doctor, unless u have an allergic reaction of course, then u want to go to er... but no I think u should call and make an appointment a.s.a.p and tell him your symtoms and that it isn't working for u, I am sure there r many other meds that he could try u on... best of luck...

Dear Pooh, Pledge is right, of course. You must talk to your Dr. Advair contains steroids and in some cases the body reacts when steroids are suddenly stopped. Plus, your asthma may rebound, or get much worse. There are other asthma meds available. Your Dr may also have samples for you to try. Take Care. 4N Substances
