Since building on my weeks of Prozac 20mg I’ve noticed sleeping only four to five hours a night. Do naps in the afternoon count toward sleep needed?
Why sleeping only four hours every night?

People who are not getting enough sleep, tend to be too tired to exercise or stick to their normal routine.
You won't believe how much this affects your sleepy bedtime.
Chamomile tea helps.
Be well,

Hey, Red!
Taking a nap may help you feel refreshed but it won't make up for not sleeping a consecutive 7-9 hours because your brain need that uninterrupted sleep for the deep sleep and REM stages. In effect that's when your brain "reboots". Without restorative sleep you can't work, learn, and communicate up to your full potential.
Are you having trouble going to sleep or are you waking up during the night? This is especially important because the deeper and REM sleep tends to occur more toward the morning hours.
So, remind me now how long you've been on it in total. How many weeks?
And have you talked to your doctor about the insomnia?
I’ve always slept well until I started with my GAD again, and have been taking Prozac(3weeks) and 0.5mg clonazapam 2x/day. I’m usually ready to go to sleep by 9:00-10:00pm with no problem. It’s waking up any time in the early morning hours that’s the issue. I do continue to rest, however. I see my CPC March 5th to discuss progress and/or problems since starting the meds.
