I am suffering days of insomnia even after being off fragyl almost 3 days. Today is my first day of clindamycin. I just want even a night of sleep..
Can I take a light sleeping pill with clindamycin. I've just been switched to it from fragyl?

Marinak23; you really don't say what you have that you want to take. with the Clindamycin but if it is a sleep aid like Diphenhydramine which is generic Benadryl this well be okay if it is anything stronger than that you should call your Pharmacist and double check. You don't need any more problems.good luck to you and I am sure your sleep well come back soon.
It was thinking a unisom or Benadryl they basically have the same ingredients.
That well work Marinak; and if no results please call your doctor today, Sounds like you are running on Empty. lol been there.
It worked after dropping my second medication. I was also taking bactrim for kidney infection that was the root of the cause severe reactions and insomnia just happened to be one of them. Flagyl just fueled its fire. Im completely off both of them!
Marinak; were you close to being finished with the therapy of the antibiotics. Or well you be rechecked soon. you want to make sure all of that is cleared up. Don't take any chances of having it rebound on you. And if by any chance the doctor wants you to take more let the doctor know they were killing your system is there something else. also sometimes with the antibiotics, it helps to take with some food or Yogurt to make sure the antibiotics don't kill off the good bacteria. but hope you're done now.
They prescribed me new medication. I meant done with those pills that made me react in a bad.
Great that makes much more sense Marinak. Now for the record, it would be good on your part to write down the medication you can't take and make sure it's in your chart And on the Pharmacist record so you don't by accident get them again if a doctor is covering for yours or yours just forgets after a while. always good to cover your bases. Glad your starting to feel better now. enjoy your day.
