I’ve had an off-and-on appetite for many years it would go for months then come back pretty good for a couple of months at most at the moment, I haven’t wanted to eat at all for weeks and lose weight slowly. Would sertraline even me out once past the stomach issues and the appetite loss the drug causes?
Would sertraline help a non existent appetite?

Hi, Tomatoeface!
"Common (1% to 10% of users): Anorexia, increased/decreased appetite, weight increased/decreased"
Sertraline can cause metabolic changes which could result in weight changes but it could go either way.
The question is what is causing your lack of appetite. Could it be an underlying issue such as periodic episodes of clinical depression? Is there a physical cause?
Have you been evaluated by your doctor for possible reasons? If not, then that may what you need to do next.
Treating with sertraline would be an excellent choice if an anxiety disorder is the problem.
